Anyone play it?
For those who've dipped in or not tried it yet, 2.0 is launching in a day-ish and soon you'll be able to start out with your choice of one of four 20-hero bundles, which makes the whole getting into it thing a lot easier. I've been playing a bunch and it's easily the best moba for me, LoL have even said they won't go as crazy as some of the HotS heroes like Cho'gall (controlled by two players) or Abathur (stays at spawn and merges with heroes to buff them, and can clone heroes).

Even though Kelly was prepared for it, the transition from the Pale Moors to the Nexus was striking. The cold and the wet and the relentless, monotonous impact of a downpour coupled with the potent scents of wet earth and rot gave way in a single instant to simply nothing, and more nothing, as far as the eye could see. A few windblown raindrops sputtered through the shimmering archway at the traveler's back, but less than a dozen steps carried him beyond their reach. His hobnailed boots made no sound on the featureless ivory floor of the Nexus as he wheeled his bicycle out into the void, but the tires squeaked, and water pattered off his clothes and dripped from his ponytail in a rapidly-diminishing stream.
Traveling through it for the fourth time, Kelly decided that he liked the Nexus. The more complex 'verses all had distractions in abundance, but the seemingly infinite void gave Kelly an opportunity to take a step back from it all, evaluate his situation and plan his next move.
There was a lot to do. He'd hit the ground running once he arrived in Coruscant, rapidly accomplishing his first strategic goal, but Darkshire had slowed him down (although the opportunity presented by establishing a relationship with the garrison partially made up for that). It was necessary, but time-consuming, and now there was this Nebula business... it couldn't be ignored, and had to be taken seriously unless new information suggested otherwise, but who knew how long it was going to take?
Kelly considered himself a patient man, but he didn't like delays, and operating without a far-reaching support network, although he would swear it was how he had lived for most of his life, just felt wrong.
And then there's the horrible familiarity of this whole Dark Chip fiasco... I've been putting off evaluating all these new associations and fragments of memory I've retrieved, the dreams and the feelings, the deja-vu - I know I have. I feel like they've grown threatening somehow - like there are things in my head that part of me doesn't want to recall, and dwelling on the nature of Nebula's particular brand of corruption feels like clawing at the seal on a very deep, very dark hole.
What kind of a person was I, really?
The psychic didn't have an answer. Striding through the Nexus with his bicycle in hand and his quarterstaff floating along beside him, he made an executive decision.
As soon as the business in the green is done, no more delays. I'm going to sit down, no matter where I've ended up or what else is demanding my attention, and I'm going to put all of this together. All of these methods and strategies, the obsessive planning, this deeply rooted need to fix all this chaos....I know part of it ties back to my lost Kingdom, an attempt to recapture that feeling of sublime servitude, but the yearning seems so much older than that.
Before I was a King I was a traveler. Almost all of my coherent memories are from that part of my life.
What was I before that?
Kelly's wristcom gave him a telepathic nudge, silently alerting the psychic that he had mail. He put the question aside, and opened a dataverse-window.
Both PepsiCo and Doctor Regal had returned his messages. He checked Alan Mayhew's inbox first.
The cola-conglomerate's concerns were predictable. They wanted Alan Mayhew to keep an eye towards potential new marketing opportunities, and to eliminate any threat to PepsiCo's customer-base or profit-margins with extreme prejudice. The traveler replied that he understood, and stated that he'd submit a report when the business was concluded - as well as stating for the record that he was taking this job pro-bono, purely in the interest of keeping business running smoothly.
With the maintenance of his alternate identity seen to, it was time to discover what Doctor Regal had to say.
Kelly read the e-mail carefully. The Doctor had answered each of his concerns concisely and completely, though one answer in particular was disappointing. He could see why Regal would refrain from imposing a rigid command structure on a semi-random collection of Primes; They were a breed not known for taking orders well - but the lack of co-ordination still struck him as bad planning. It could have been handled better.
But the rest of it... this is good information. There being only one stronghold in each 'verse simplifies things considerably, though the fact that Nebula seems aware that they're under attack is a complication I'd prefer to do without. The fact that they're using probing strikes suggests a higher level of strategic planning than anything Regal appears to be employing... good scientist, bad strategist.
Typical.
The psychic moved on to the information on the Tangled Green, which was easily the highlight of the message.
A small group of defenders making use of natural hazards, guerrilla-tactics and opportunistic ambush fighting in order to defend their command center... between my haunt, my powers and my skills, I think I can beat them at that particular game - especially if there's really a potential ally already inside their stronghold. Even if the mystery-intruder has been captured, it proves that a lone fighter can penetrate their lines. The vague rumors of a nightmare-beast are a bit more worrying... I'll have to make sure to keep something in reserve just in case they turn out to be more than just stories.
The last part of the e-mail was the most troubling. Doctor Regal's clarification of Nebula's reality-warping qualities as unpredictable, highly virulent and semi-random made them almost impossible to plan for or anticipate - and it was yet another part of the situation which gave Kelly a strong sense of deja-vu. Thinking about it made his ears itch.
If it comes up, I guess I'll just have to improvise.
At the bottom of the message was a link to an attachment containing a the names of the Primes who Regal had briefed personally, a partial list of contact information, and the 'verses to which various Primes had been deployed. There were no name's the traveler recognized among Regal's core-group - though there was a notation placing Hiro Protagonist in Camelot, which, if Kelly had interpreted their relationship correctly, meant there was a good chance Okor was also in the area.
That's the neighboring 'verse. Good to know.
Kelly closed the dataverse window and climbed on his bicycle. It was time to pick up the pace.
Quote:I'm assuming in this post that Skeletor is listed as 'Keldor' on Regal's documentation, seeing as he was in disguise when he arrived at the lab.

Kimberly Ann Hart sat at the edge of one of the beds in a Carrefore inn. Her eyes remained glued to the small television screen before her, and oblivious to much else in the room. Some local news channel was explaining the day to day happenings of the desert land she had found herself in. She was doing her best to absorb the knowledge spewing from the TV set, but it was awfully hard to focus. Beside her, Zack Taylor paced impatiently as he watched the news broadcast as well, and and neither of them could see whatever techno-wizardry Billy Cranston was performing behind the television. They just knew he was back there fiddling with some wire or another. At least something never changed.
Most things had changed, however. The Pink Ranger had thought her adventuring days were long behind her. Indeed, all six of the original Power Rangers were enjoying various degrees of retirement from the superhero thing they’d done as teenagers, and adjusted quite well to normal lives. In their mid-late twenties, battling aliens and piloting giant robots was a distant memory. Until they ended up here.
Somehow, someway, all six of them had arrived in the endless white expanse known as the Nexus, and had quickly got to work figuring out just what had brought them there. Fortunately, there were no internal speed bumps with the team, as they were all in close contact, still. Something about being a united team of superheroes during their formative years left them very good friends even as they grew older.
Regardless, their quick investigations taught them the nature of the land, as well as the differences between primes and secondaries. The chilling fact was that none of them had seen the mysterious Omni. That meant they were secondaries, and that a prime had introduced them right into the Nexus, and likely slipped off in the confusion. The burning question now, of course, was who and why?
The TV jumped with static, and the channel changed to some Spanish mariachi band, preventing them from learning anything from that source.
“What happened?” Billy asked from his work-space.
“It’s worse now,” Zack answered.
“Hold on, I can get it working,” Billy said, with the TV’s picture beginning to fade as he fiddled with the wires.
“Billy, local news is enough,” Kimberly pleaded. “Just leave it. We don’t need everything there is to see.”
“Local news isn’t a wide enough spread,” Billy remarked. “We need to get multiple sources if we’re going to understand this place, and it’s just a little extra work for a greater reward.”
“Yea, but…” Kimberly trailed off, feeling that the festive music was making her point well enough. It didn’t help that the Black Ranger, bored to death, had begun to lightly dance along with the beat.
Thankfully, the door to the apartment opened and in came the remaining three Rangers. Jason Lee Scott, Trini Kwan, and Tommy Oliver entered, carrying plenty of supplies, yet they closed the door behind them just as quickly as they entered.
“Nice use of your time,” Tommy jokingly commented as he looked to the TV. Kimberly just rolled her eyes.
“What’s the word?” Zack asked as he looked over to the new arrivals, and the bags they were dumping on the beds. He brushed right past Tommy’s remark too.
“Well,” Jason said, pausing for just a moment to pull out two separate newspapers. “This is a really... different one.”
Billy walked around from behind the TV and took the first paper Jason held out. Zack and Kimberly walked to either side of him and looked over his shoulder, unable to believe what they were seeing. Lord Zedd himself was on the front page, standing beside some blue woman.
“Imperial primes defeat Vorticon menace,” Billy read the headline aloud, then skimmed the contents of the article. The premise was simple: Lord Zedd, acting as an agent of the Empire had possibly saved the mega-verse of Coruscant.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Zack said, walking to a window while throwing his hands up in frustration. “Zedd’s here in the Omniverse too? And he’s a prime? And he’s befriended the biggest bunch of thugs in the place?”
“We’ve heard a lot of conflicting things about the Empire,” Trini reminded her fellow Rangers. “Some of it bad, but some of it good.”
“I think it’s still safe to assume Zedd is going to keep being Zedd,” Tommy remarked as he took a seat at one of the chairs around the small table in the room. “Regardless of what the Empire as a whole represents.”
“The Empire, by the way,” Kimberly chimed in sarcastically. “Really catchy. Nice of them to be up front about what they’re like.”
“I don’t think we’re the ones that can comment on a lack of subtlety,” Billy shrugged as he tossed the paper onto one of the beds. Kimberly paused, then bit her lip. It was a good point.
Jason shook his head, and then held out the next one. Billy took it as well, noting that this was was opened and folded so he was looking at some deep interior page. He studied it for a moment, not seeing anything that jumped out in any of the pictures. It was just some local gossip section. Kimberly suddenly gasped and pointed at one of the pictures near the top corner. Billy looked a bit closer, and saw a woman in the background that she recognized instantly. Even if she hadn't remembered her face, the green almost-bikini outfit the woman wore was a dead giveaway. Not many wandered around looking like that.
“Who’s that?” Zack asked, looking at the picture, then back up to Jason. The Red Ranger shrugged.
“Dulcea,” Tommy answered. “She helped us once after you, Jason, and Trini left the team. She was a good fighter, and a friend of Zordon’s.”
“We haven’t seen or heard from her in... years,” Billy thought aloud. “But she’s here now?”
"That could explain why we never heard from her again," Tommy reasoned with a shrug of his own.
“I don’t know anything about her, but if you guys trust her then so do I,” Jason commented. "So we need to find her. She's someone that can answer our questions."
“Where is she, though?” Kimberly asked. “She could have come and gone from Carrefore already.”
“She has,” Jason acknowledged. “While Tommy finished getting our supplies, Trini and I asked around about her.”
“Turns out you can’t dress like that in the Endless Dunes without being noticed,” Trini picked up the explanation. “A couple people spotted her leaving town a few days back. A few other wanderers said they saw her heading toward an old temple, deep in the Dunes. And that there were some unsavory types after her.”
“Is she the prime that brought us here?” Zack asked.
“Don’t know,” Jason shook his head. “Don’t even know if she’s a prime. But between her and Zedd, she’s the one we want to find first.”
“Agreed on that,” Tommy said, then waved his hands at the various bags they’d brought in. “That ought to be all the food, water, and other gear we need to find this temple and survive. We can break it up into travel packs tonight.”
“And then head out first thing in the morning,” Jason finished. “We’ll find the temple, find Dulcea, and get some answers.”
“Like why we were brought here,” Zack remarked. “Although if I had to guess, it would be to fight Zedd again.”
“I don’t know,” Billy spoke up, looking at the newspaper that had covered the dark lord’s exploits again. “Lord Zedd, the terror of our world, seems to be a pretty small fish in this pond. This world is… bigger. Grander. Deeper.”
“My thoughts exactly,” Tommy agreed. “Sure, he can gather his strength back up, but it’ll take some time. We’re not the only ones having to watch our step. His powers are limited, for now.”
Jason reached behind his back and pulled out the Tyrannosaurus morpher that had been with him since he spawned in this strange realm. He looked it over carefully, noting that each little scratch and imperfection was still there, just like he remembered from so long ago. All six of them had quickly noted the return of their power morphers, yet hadn’t had the opportunity to test if they still worked..
“Ours might be, too,” Jason reminded them. “We could be a lot worse off than we realize.”
“The desert will provide us with ample opportunity to test them,” Billy observed. They’d all wanted to see where they really stood, but morphing in front of people wasn’t a good idea, and boy were there a lot of people here.
Jason nodded and put it away. “Alright, let’s get to work.”
The six adventurers got to work from there, dividing the supplies up into small backpacks. Everything was spread evenly amongst the group, so that if one was separated or worse, they wouldn’t lose all of the food, medical supplies, or the like. It was a grim scenario to have to face, but it was better to be prepared than not. Even with that in the back of their minds, the night was lively and filled with plenty of joking and playful banter. It was just like old times, even before their first morph in years.
Eventually the time came to rest for the night, so they split their own ways and went towards their respective rooms to try and sleep. Morning would come before they knew it, and the quest for the source of their arrival would begin.

Hi there. I tossed a joining thread up last night, not sure if it went through or it will appear once I'm approved/activated.
Just trying to see if it is going to appear then, or if I may have not put it up correctly.

Snow flied behind the faunus as she tread over it on her snowboard. As tired as she was, she couldn't believe she was able to handle the magical speed this board was capable of reaching. It went as fast a normal car back in Vale, but had no engine and ran solely on Omnilium, pushed forward simply by the kick of a foot.
Wind scrapped by Amber's face as she flew through the Frozen Fields, loving the taste of fresh, cold air. She had spent way too much time in that cave, seeing people die and nearly dying herself. She sighed and looked forward to see her fort at the horizon. Home.
She slid up to the door way and banged her hand roughly on the steel. It may have been just her, but it seems like the walls were larger. The fort seemed bigger, or was that just her imagination running wild from being stuck in the caved-in situation?
"Yo' 'Saki! Let me in! I need a fucking bath!" She screamed into the microphone loudly and a bit angrily. "You wont believe what the fuck I've been through."
"Alright just calm down, I need to talk to you about-" Amber cut him off abruptly, it was now that he knew he should probably just leave her alone.
"Just let me in. I need to sleep, whatever you need to tell me can wait until after I've had a decent nap and something to eat." With that, the steel doors let off steam as the pressure unlocked and began to swing open slowly.
Houses.
This was the first thing Amber noticed upon entering the Fort. Homes of people she had never seen before stood in her walls. Her mood flipped immediately. She walked through the small town with glee of unfinished homes of stone and steel. People were choosing to stay in her castle. This was not longer a fort - it was a town. Her town.
Murasaki met her just outside the tunnel entrance. He smiled as he sees Amber's change in mood.
"I knew that would change your attitude." He said offering a hug to his partner, which she accepted. "I don't just sit around and do nothing, you know?"
"You're trying to impress me, aren't you?" She said with a mocking grin and her hands at her hips.
"What? No. Someone has to keep things sane and moving here while you're away, so that makes me next in command." He said folding his arms at his chest. Amber pushed her way past him and head down in the tunnel.
"Well, give me the keys big-boy, cause I'm taking over for the time being. It's time we got started on our true plan." She said as she walked without turning to the black haired teenager.
"Yes, you mean the plan that you're just now annoucing to me and have made no previous referance to in the past?" He asked following up behind her.
"That plan exactly numbnuts. It's time that we brought home to us!" She said loudly, drawing the attention of very confused gazes in the tunnels.
"You mean your going to-?" Again, he was cut off by Amber's speech-voice.
"Operation Atlas is now in full effect from this moment on Murasaki! Frist order of business - Get me some fucking sushi pronto." She said loudly again, not necessarily in a mean way but more bravdo-authorative. Murasaki had so many questions, but figured it was best not to and just trudged off to get Amber her fish. Amber on the other hand headed for her room, where it was time to finally take a nap. She doffed her heavy-ass armor and placed on the rack next to her closet, then face-planted into the bed just a few feet from her. She was asleep within the minute.

Hello Doctor,
My name is Kelly MacAryn. I am a Prime and I was recently recruited, for lack of a better word, to assist in your war against Nebula. I'm more than pleased to help - in fact, I consider it a solemn responsibility to do what I can to prevent this kind of (you'll please excuse my bluntness) heinous bullshit. However, I have some questions, and I was told I should contact you for clarification.
1.) Regarding Nebula's strongholds: How many are there in each verse? Are we facing multiple entrenched positions in each zone or just one centralized command per? Do we know?
2.)Regarding the other Primes recruited for this task: how are we co-ordinating? Contact info would be appreciated.
3.) What progress, if any, has already been made? When I encounter Nebula, can I expect them to already be on high alert?
4.)I've been told that the Green and the Steppes have nobody assigned to them. What does our resource-distribution look like? If you're not comfortable sharing that information for security reasons, that's fine, but otherwise I would appreciate knowing who is nearby.
5.) I've decided to head for the Tangled Green. Is there any additional information you could share about Nebula activity in that 'verse specifically? Enemy force-estimates, concerned locals - Anything will help.
6.)Regarding Nebula's reality-warping properties: how does this threat present itself? I've been told to expect that the rules I'm accustomed to may not apply in the same ways within their strongholds, but that's distressingly vague.
I hope this message finds you well, and look forward to working with you to end this threat.
anticipating your swift reply,
Kelly MacAryn

| How anime are you?! |

Do you want to know how high on the scale of Anime you rank? Do you want to be judged by a completely arbitrary system to know? Then just post in here and I'll judge you.
Disclaimer: Since I may not know your character very well I may not always hand out the most fitting score.
To-Do list:
-Grade all the characters marked N/A.
-Give scale in which characters are sorted by their score.
JUDGEMENTS
2B - N/A
Aadibah - 5/10
A regular human fighting with regular weapons in a modern-world conflict? BOOOORING! Move on and stop bothering me with-
Wait, what? What do I see? WORLD WAR III? NUCLEAR ENERGY-POWERED POWER ARMOR? This changes everything! Hmm... but this power armor doesn't seem very stylish. If it was all chrome-plated and had a cape and such, and if it had a giant sword as the finishing touch, then it would be great! But a modern gun... well, I guess it's practical, but it's not anime! Such mixed feelings... this is a difficult pick keptic:
Amber Veritz - 9/10
She LOOKS human, but she's a non-human, underage, good-looking both in general appearance and with her clothing (rather than ugly armor) - this must mean that she's protagonist material. Also, she wields a sword as big as herself, which is good... but REAL anime heroes wield swords larger than themselves. On the other hand, that sword can transform into a gun... anime characters love unconventional weapons. Hmm...
Add to that her superhuman strength without having muscles like a Super Saiyan, which preserves her girly looks even in battle, and that's really good! If she's not a protagonist, then she's probably the protagonist's friend, romantic interest or otherwise competent sidekick.
And without that sword she reminds me of the protagonist of Mew Mew Kissy Cutie!
Betty - 8/10
Well, first of all children with superpowers and more powerful (and useful) than adults are very anime! This one seems a bit young but she'll probably be a fantastic world-saver once... oh wait, she's a villain? What a plot twist :omg:
Anycase! That pink blob pet thing of hers, that's very anime too, although villains tend to have dangerous pets, like sharks or firebreathing dinosaurs. Same with the evil glowy eyes and using everyday clothes to fight in! Add to that that the fighting style is all sorts of evil (Stealing enemies' moves and using them against them, eating souls, putting fear in people's hearts...) and that is a great villain! Or rather, a despicably evil one. The best villains are both evil and cool. Betty would just be evil and unliked. As such, I can't give a better score.
Cell - 10/10
Let's see here... smooth voice, good looks, intelligent, general evilness... is he a mafia godfather? Oh, never mind, he's a bug man that slurps up people with a mosquito thing. And he grows stronger every time he comes back from the brink of death? And has hyper-regenerative powers to restore his body from just one cell? And he doesn't immediately kill his opponents but instead shows off his power in elaborate ways?
That is a very high anime index value, but clearly he is an anime villain! Always so overpowered keptic:
Chara - 9/10
A lot of things are similar to Betty here: wearing everyday clothes in fights, having evil glowy eyes (and red, of course!) and being a kid with greater powers than most adults means that Chara is a great anime character! The fighting style is also interesting (using a kitchen knife to fight and sending out flying energy slashes? Hell yeah!) and the teleportation is great. And of course, the big redemption at the end, that's worth extra cookie points!
Unfortunately however there's just not quite enough for a perfect score: Chara lacks that last nudge to make her a "great" anime character, not just a "good" one. Obtaining a grossly oversized sword and screaming or calling your attacks would be ways of achieving that, for instance!
Cloud Strife - 8/10
I see a giant sword! That's worth a lot of points :hur: Also, a very anime haircut, kind-of anime clothes, anime age... lots of good things here! His backstory... well, it's okay, but it doesn't sound as anime as it could be. Although that part where he takes up his friend's sword and strikes an opponent with it? Yeah, that's awesome.
There's probably a lot that I don't know about because I don't know the series, but off the things I can see, I feel like this score is in order!
Dante - N/A
Dawn - 4/10
Those names for weapons! And a katana-sword forged in a volcano? And she has shizophrenia? And fights in those clothes? Very nice! But then I see explosive weaponry, and a sniper-rifle, those are not befitting to an important character. Maybe a support character of some enemy group that later is befriended to the protagonist, though. And this name... at least she could have her last name be Yuki or something like that :dur:
There's just too little warranting a good score on the anime scale here.
Dell Conagher - 3/10
Let's see here... what, just a shotgun and a pistol? And he's texan? That is not anime at all! But those goggles... hmm, the goggles do add a nice touch. And the ability to construct all sorts of mechanical equipment on the fly? Out of nowhere? Turning scrap into useful resources by whacking it with a wrench? Well, that's gotta be worth a few points!
He would probably occupy the role of a greatly skilled engineer who has constructed the mechanical arm of the protagonist, and who is approached when it gets broken. Myes, an important support character.
Enel - 10/10
What a great character! Not only does he have very cool, unconventional looks (those earlobes, those drums piercing his back, a lot of fanservice by being bare-chested), he also has a very anime movepool (a GOLDEN staff, throwing electricity around), calls his attacks, is fast and strong and
Furthermore! He has blond hair and is insane, which apparently is the trope for characters controlling lightning. He believes himself to be a god (he certainly has the ego of one), he has awesome extrasensory powers, he speaks during combat and all the lightning attacks ignore the laws of physics, he has an afro... I could list more things, but I think I've made my point.
Hiro Protagonist - 10/10
A nipponese (aka japanese) samurai, speaking nipponese, with katanas, tantos and shurikens, and on top of that high mobility, foresight and enhanced senses by itself would be enough to give this person a high anime rating. But on top of that he calls his attacks (which have very nice japanese names by the way), his name is "Hiro Protagonist" AND he has a rival?
This man... this man is the embodiment of everything anime stands for! I shall find him and have him teach me the ways of anime :OwtfO:
homin-Ratione - 4/10
Hmm, let's see here! Humanlike but then again not human, and with some physical differences... this is nice. Regular humans rarely make it far in anime! And he's a space-faring character? This is also nice! Being a space-faring race means that you have mechas, laser weapons and cannon-fodder robots that go rogue and have to get mowed down by the thousands.
Now let's see, what does he have in the ways of combat? A sword is very good, but it's only one meter long? Come back when it's ten meters long. And this armor... it's not anime at all keptic: It's too big and clunky and heavy. And it doesn't even have rocket-propelled arms or laser eyes. No, this won't do. On the other hand, that's a very nice assortment of mobility powers! So yes... there's potential here, but he's not embracing the anime-ness.
Jade - N/A
Jak - N/A
Kelly MacAryn - N/A
King Ghidorah - 9/10
A giant dragon with three heads and a lust for destruction! THAT RULES! And he's all golden-scaled and stuff... and the heads look very much like an asian dragon's... and none of that wings plus arms plus legs stuff that the western dragons pull off. Of course, the whole lust for destruction and superiority complex means that he's a villain. And he is a "Kaiju"? That's a big thumbs up!
Now if only he had more anime attacks and called them... calling your attacks is very important, you know. And there's way too much detail on his appearance. Not even the protagonist gets to have this much detail. Definitely japanese, but not quite cutting it for a prime anime villain.
Marcus Wright - N/A
Minato Namikaze - 10/10
Honestly, what's there to say here? A ninja with the ability of teleportation, lightning quick reflexes, a cool unconventional weapon and THAT hairstyle? Not to mention his heroic sacrifice for the good of his village and how his personality is a perfect fit to everything anime related. No discussion here.
Okor Paleblood - 2/10
Ooo, this one's interesting. Of course you'd have to wear a hazmat suit while near him, but then again, the "fat smelly slash unwashed" archetype is pretty common in anime. Lots of transformations that go along with big physical changes is also very anime! Especially if there's transformation sequences. Although, I'll be honest here: they're disgusting. Guts hanging out and such isn't anime. You have big red blood stains which obscure all that, nobody wants to see all that graphic detail.
Aall those poisons and guns aren't particularly anime either, and this slow speed... that's horrible. Nobody likes slow-moving strong heroes in anime, where it's all about fighting fast! And strong! And being cool while at it!
So overall, if you want a better score be sure to look cooler: the poisons and diseases and such should be replaced by green particle clouds, green liquids and such - green stands for poison :derp: . And the armor needs to look more polished and whatnot. Or at least be stylishly dirty.
Revan Noctis - N/A
Samus Aran - 3/10
We don't see women in armor all that much. But this sort of armor really isn't anime: it's way too protective and useful, way too gender-obscuring, it even has a helmet! How are people supposed to enjoy her perfect hair and her model appearance? I do realize that she is portrayed as a strong woman this way and that the suit is actually practical for being in space or in hazardous areas, but unfortunately, that's not anime at all. Well, outside of that the suit itself looks pretty cool, and an arm cannon shooting energy blasts, missiles, beams and functioning as a swiss army knife of sorts. The Zero Suit does earn a bit of anime points but it's worn so rarely that it doesn't really count.
And then she's usually stoic but occasionally emotional, which is meh... just not enough for a high score.
Sarah Kerrigan - N/A
Strazio Rockwell - 9/10
That is one hell of a backstory! Some guy kills off his whole town for no visible reason, leaving only him alive, and he's stuck under some rubble while sustained by his rage? That's both metal and anime. And he's 15 when that happens. Awesome!
Also, magick that damages one's body when being used... cool! And it's fueled by his rage? That's even more metal. I can imagine the song lyrics: "I hunt the man that destroyed my life, I am driven by the seething rage within. Magick fueled by my fury, it kills me a little with each use but I won't rest until I have sated my thirst for revenge." Something like that :dur:
Anycase, he lacks the last nudge to go from "great" to "perfect 10", but still awesome!
Somerled - 10/10
A force of nature turned alive, a weather spirit controlling wind, lightning and cold? Feeding on fear, terror and whatnot? Taking on the appearance of a japanese man? He snags and eats people? AND he has split personalities sharing one body?
This right here, this is the sort of person that belongs in an anime! I guess I can give a high sco- wait, what's that? A whip that plays a theme song when used?! Say no more!
The Future Warrior (aka Graowr) - 7/10
That is one anime haircut if I ever saw one! And the scarf, wearing one even in combat so that it can flutter while she's engaging in aerial combat - yup, that is dope as hell. On the other hand, those clothes! They are way too practical, way too suited for combat, and they don't even have a giant emblem on the chestpiece or something. Well, there's that thing on the belt, but... nah, that's not cutting it.
Those red eyes are a big plus, on the other hand... and, what do I see there! Majin? A japanese race name? And "Graowr" as a name? And a tendency for naivety and charging into battle? This is sending me very mixed feelings :hur:
Trixie - 8/10
Ooo, this one's great! Appearance-wise, there's big pluses right away: above all, the sexy looks Especially fighting in all sorts of tight-fitting and/or revealing attires! Now the armor isn't ideal, but it would seem that she doesn't always wear it, and stripping off damaged armor is always a thing. And then there's fancy-schmancy swords! Although again, NOT BIG ENOUGH. Seriously, you guys want to be anime characters? Get yourselves a sword that you could use as a surfboard or family-sized table surface.
Anyway, moving on... blasters aren't all that anime, but I guess the whole futuristic energy thing is cool. And magical superpowers, especially to shoot lightning bolts, are great too. Lightning in general is great, actually.
Of course, Trixie will unfortunately not be a main character, because she's 37 years old. If you're older than 18 you're already unlikely to be a protagonist. But maybe she'd be an important support character? Or a villain? I could picture her being a seductive, dangerous villain :dur:
Undyne - 10/10
This is without a doubt the most anime person I could think of! She has a sword twice her size, summonable spears, various eastern-themed weapons such as nunchakus, she does dialogue during combat, she has a sense of fairness even against her greatest opponents, AND she has a transformation sequence to a greater form! Also, she is amazingly good-looking. And that eyepatch adds a whole lot of anime points.
Utsuho Reiuji/Okuu - 8/10
Well let's see: A Hell Raven Yokai, not bad. Based on the Yatagarasu, a three-legged crow from japanese mythology, great! But, nuclear fusion and running a reactor? That's a big no-no! Nuclear power, especially nukes, has no place in anime. But then there's those awesome looks, the red eye and the cannon arm are very anime for instance. And of course, the dress when you could be fighting with armor. Now, I wonder if she transforms in a magical girl transformation sequence, because that is very anime as well. No? Ah well. The cape is a bit more western, but it's still stylish. Extra style points for you!
Now personality-wise I couldn't make out a lot, but I see that she announces all her attacks loudly? That's an absolute staple for good anime! Big extra-points for that. Birdbrainedness is also something that makes adorable characters even more adorable, but annoying. Especially if they're aware of their own flaw.
Would have a better score if it wasn't for violating that big taboo which is nuclear weapons. Possibly even a perfect score. A pity :poop:
