Subject: Gildarts

Hello Princess,

Sorry to have been out of touch for so long. I do regret not being able to have made your personal acquaintance thus far in my stay. But, that is neither here nor there. My primary concern in writing you today is of one Gildarts Clive. I know Mr. Clive to be of particular importance to the kingdom of Ambrosia, and being that he is so close to you, I have no doubts that he is of sound moral character, under normal circumstances.

My concern for him is compounded by his having assisted me in the banishing of Volvagia last year, during which time I came to respect him as an honorable man and conscientious Prime. Having encountered him in the Syntech preshow, however, and following my more recent combative encounter with Mr. Clive, I have growing concerns about his mental instability.

He seems to be plagued by some sort of phantom in his subconscious, negatively influencing his thoughts and behavior. This compulsive figment is further exacerbated by his apparent full alliance with none other than Illidan Stormrage, a Prime I know to be responsible for leading one of the bloodiest civilian massacres in recent Omniverse history.

I don't know if you have a personal line to Gildarts, I would implore you to appeal to his integrity. The Omniverse is already full of threats to its weaker denizens: we cannot have the Strongest Prime fall away from the path of societal benefit.

Thank you for your time. As always, let me know if I can help in any way.

Sincerely,

T. Wover,
Formerly Nealaphh

Character name: Kimiko

Character source: Tokyo Ghoul derived OC

Character history:
Not knowing exactly who her parents are and being a Ghoul, she was forced to live and thrive on her own as a young child. Going into hiding at all times and picking off any remains of possible suicide victims.

Soon after she reached her teen years, she seems to be discovered and reached out to by a fellow ghoul which introduces her to the delicious world of coffee. This would later on let her achieve a job at Anteiku after she turned sixteen. When in public situations, she is most often seen with a cup of coffee in one hand and possibly a comic book in the other.

Physical Description: (originals only)
She has a thin, tall build for her age. She stands around 5'9 without shoes. Her hair is around shoulder-blade length and is colored like a starting to rot rose with a side swept fringe for bangs that mostly covers the right side of her face. Her skin is a pale olive color with natural pinks joints and cheeks. Finally her eyes are a deep blue-gray like a thin cloudy night sky.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 4
SPD: 2
TEC: 2

Starting Proficiencies: 2600
Physical Strength - 1000
Ranged Proficiency - 1000
Remote Control - 600

Starting Powers:
Basic Regeneration - 1300

Starting Moves:
Rinkaku Kagune (600)
Prerequisits: Physical, Ranged, Remote Control
Forming from Kimiko's lower back are two tentacles. It takes five seconds to fully form these appendages. They appear to be narrow near the body, but grow thicker till the tip, which forms into a semi-solid mass resembling a very rudimentary hand.

These tentacles require time to form. They first form two large masses on either side of her spine at the lower arch of her back, if uninterrupted, the thin layer of mass will bust and fully formed hands will sprout from her back. The hands themselves could wrap around a pumped basketball and the arm length of around five to thirty feet.

However, if the process of forming these large hands is interrupted and the masses are prematurely ruptured, the ground is painted with a red, blood-like substance. In order to fully form the tentacle again, whatever is left inside the mass must come in contact with the splattered puddle and reform into a soft solid state, thus making the formation more time consuming.

  1. Maneuver ability (Fodder)
The ability to push herself off the ground and walk with much longer stride, however this will allow more area to be shown and easier to hit. She is also able to climb up steep areas that are normally difficult otherwise.
  2. Slam attack (300)
This allows for a melee based attack, the large hands will attempt to punch and lunge at the foe in attempts to cause a very forceful, blunt attack. (HULK SMASH!!)
  3. Grappling (300)
Finally this ability is the ability to grab her foe and squeeze at crushing points to a normal human. For a human, the bones would crack and several organs would possibly rupture with this force. On the more controlled and less inhumane note, if she is too badly injured, she will attempt to grab her target and throw them as far as possible (around 50 feet) just so she can make an escape so she may have time to feed and regenerate.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

  F Zero Federation Power Rankings!
Posted by: Isabelle - 06-22-2017, 01:33 AM - Forum: Dataverse Messageboards - No Replies

Set your clocks for Friday at 9 am Coruscant Standard Time (give or take time distillation) for we have yet another batch of racers that will claw their way to fame and glory! This race’s track will be Turbulent Tube!

The F Zero association has finally released the power rankings for our upcoming drivers!

(1.) Son of Thor
(2.) Kraken The Quick
(3.) Jubilant Johnney
(4.) Sarah Soundwave
(5.) Jet Wolf
(6.) Salgo Saint
(7.) Phoenix Fire
(8.) Janes the Jackrabbit
(9.) Steadyhand Cammie
(10.) Sky Cutter Sean
(11.) January Dust
(12.) Santiago Sun
(13.) Gelatinous Cube
(14.) Red Trident
(15.) The Ice Cream Man
(16.) Cat the Killer
(17.) Chitty Man
(18.) Property of Coca Cola
(19.) Heart Candy
(20.) The Lonely L
(21.) Durk the Barbarian
(22.) Anonymous Entry
(23.) Chad in a Chicken Costume
(24.) Representative of the Secondary Liberation Front
(25.) Salidad the Salamander
(26.) Choco Caramel
(27.) Darkness Brooding
(28.) The Great Attention Seeker
(29.) Lodo the Hobo
(30.) Isabelle the Dog

The hopefuls for this race are Son of Thor and Kracken the Quick! They’ve been at each other’s necks for years! Decades if their pre-Omniverse history checks out! However, all the traction of the two has allowed Jubilant Johnney to catch up in the power rankings, a huge upset to Sarah Soundwave who has been enjoying the third spot for quite some time!

We have some first timers joining us this time around! Darkness Brooding is a writer who joined with the purpose of promoting his new heartthrob novel! Don’t think F Zero and porn for teen girls have much crossover there buddy!

The Great Attention Seeker claims he’s doing it to pay his kids through college… Nah, just kidding, it’s pretty obvious what he’s in it for!

And finally we have Isabelle the dog, another one of Mr. Steady’s entries. It appears the federation has taken notice of her sponsor and put her below even Lodo! I’m pretty sure he races in a cardboard box!
She says her intent is the gain the attention of a guy she loves. Awww, that’s kind of precious! She will be missed.

  Switching Rule
Posted by: Jack Darby - 06-21-2017, 11:21 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (1)

I do have a question about the new switching rule. Are switches instituted before it became "Three Months" according to Omni allowed to be done, or would the individual have to wait another six weeks?

  Player 2, Same IP

My sister is sixteen and has been roleplaying for a while, I think she'll do great here. However, I have a few questions...

Q1: Can we roleplay together as two players, or will we be limited by the "alternate character" rules because we sign in from the same IP? I ask because she thinks she'd like to hang out with Aang, and maybe her second would hang with Takezo.

Q2: We have a picture of each of us which I'm posting here. Do we need to post anywhere else? I looked through a couple of the threads bit I think I overlooked something (or maybe didn't dig deep enough.

Q3: Are there any additional rules not outlined in the rule Index about second players on the same IP? Thread updates lost to time, perhaps?

Q4: This one is greedy... do I get the Referral bonus even though she's my sister? >.>

  What Now?

This thread is for many things. One of which: Predictions in general, and also just guessing what you would do/what would happen if your character were to win Dante's Abyss. It would also be good for things like discussing what your plans were after you get murderkilled or after the entire event is over, and even possibly arranging some meet ups and plan some adventures together. After all, DA is basically just meet n' greet n' murder. It's an excellent way to build friendships and hateships Big Grin

If *I* were to win Dante's Abyss... I may just have to reveal a super secrety secret about my victory and how I did it :hee:

It's a pretty good secret.

  A Dim Flame
Posted by: Koehler - 06-21-2017, 06:49 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

”Are you going to wake up any time soon?” A condescending, albeit smooth voice rung clearly in Cole’s mind, urging him towards consciousness.

He could hear the gentle sound of running water, and feel the cold, hard stones beneath him, where he was laying on the ground. He propped himself up with a grunt of effort. He tried opening his eyes, but they protested the brightness of his surroundings, and it took a moment for them to adjust to the pure, unceasing white background around him.

“Wh.. where…?” Cole began, shaking his head in a vain attempt to throw off the fog permeating his mind. He felt terrible, like he was run over by a freight truck. His arms were sore from overuse, his legs were almost completely numb, and his head throbbed trying to understand where he was and what happened. His clothes, a simple navy-blue denim jacket with a white undershirt and jeans, were tattered and bloodied, cut in several places. Though try as Cole might, he couldn’t find any injuries on his person. He felt like he had just woken up from a battle gone terribly wrong, but he couldn’t for the life of him remember what happened.

”I hope you had a good nap.” The same voice rung again in Cole’s mind, exacerbating the dull, throbbing pain that racked his head even more.

“Stop that…!” Cole hoarsely protested, reflexively placing a hand on his head. He noticed the dry blood caked onto his hair in several places, but again, there were no injuries. When he tried again to remember, some memories finally came flooding back in a series of painful flashes.

He was falling in an endless abyss, wounds covering his body and blood trailing behind him in disconnected streams of vibrant red against the blackness of the void. The white glimmer of the world he was leaving was rapidly growing dimmer and his consciousness was fading at a similar pace.

But then he had stopped falling. It wasn’t sudden, but rather it was subtle, as if the momentum suddenly left without notice. Cole was floating there, numb to everything around him. When he opened his eyes, he saw a grinning face belonging to a pure white silhouette, standing out from the abyssal background. He tried to speak, but found his voice had abandoned him. He tried to move, but his body refused him.
Then the phantom that was before him spoke.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

The voice rung in his mind and ears, impossibly traversing the airless void. The figure reached out with an open palm, and in it lay a orb, glimmering with all the colors of the spectrum against the inky blackness surrounding them.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.”

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

With its final words, the silhouette cast Cole back into the ceaseless void, falling down endlessly for an unknown amount of time until it faded away completely. When next he awoke, he was laying before the fountain.

”I’m glad you remember some of what happened. Now if you would get off the floor and actually look around…” The voice again rung in his head, scolding him. It was different in tone and power than the one the silhouette known as Omni spoke with.

“Who…” Cole looked around futilely, finding nobody but himself near the ornate stone fountain.

”Come on, up you go.” A different voice spoke out from the depths of his mind, willing his body to move. Slowly, Cole got to his feet, his legs shaky and uncertain while his head throbbed ever more with the effort.

”See? Not that hard. Now to remember, if you can.” The voice encouraged him. It was softer than the other, more supportive and gentler as compared to the smooth but icy one from before.

“Remember what?” Cole asked, but garnered no response. He looked around, trying to get his bearings in order. In the distance he could just barely make out something… structures, he thought, maybe arches? It was difficult to tell, and they were difficult to discern from the canvas white background.

“… Might as well start walking.” Cole muttered, wandering down a randomly selected path towards one of the structures in the distance. It was miles off, but he could use the time to try and remember who he was or where he came from. Or at the very least make sense of what was happening to him.

  Switch to Raven
Posted by: Broly - 06-21-2017, 06:40 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (13)

Character name: Rachel "Raven" Roth

Character source: DC Comics

Character history: Taking Raven from after the Trinity War.

Physical Description:

Stats:
ATK: 4
DEF: 2
SPD: 1
TEC: 3

Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000), Area Attack Proficiency (600) Area Defense Proficiency (400), Ranged Materialize Proficiency (600), Remote Control Proficiency (600),

Starting Powers:

Starting Moves:

Metal Binding (???) - (Requires all listed Proficienies above)

Raven's powers in the Omniverse are inherently different than that of her original universe. Due to some unknown cause her once Black Magic based abilities are now fueled entirely by liquid metal. The metal can be used offensively, defensively, and as a utility. It is summoned using her latent Omnilium or by manipulating the metal around her. Basic weapons and defensive armaments are a staple of this technique. It cannot produce mechanical parts or things requiring mechanical movement. At the choice of the user, the liquid can be superheated to create a thermal weapon. While this is a pretty streamlined ability and does not cause Raven to exert much effort to perform, the more liquid metal she controls at once the more of a toll it takes on her. This increases exponentially because of the weight inherent to metallic substances.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. Si.

Where did you find us?  В советской России, Omniverse найдет вас.[/b]

Creation Notes:

1800 OM left over.

When trying to imagine Metal Binding, think Gaara, but with liquid steel.
