Something Nice about the Person Above
Posted by: Deadpool - 07-05-2017, 11:08 AM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (8)

With all the theatrics concerning Dante's Abyss coming to a conclusion, I think it would be nice if people saw more positivity being shared!

I think as members we tend to notice the debating and arguing more than we notice how well we actually all get along.

Anyway, I'll start first.

Omni/Greg
Though I sometimes dislike you with a passion when we clash xD I really enjoy our occasional convos about DBS, and other varying topics.

Also, I'm always rooting for you on a personal level. I respect how you're able to roll with the punches of life, while still being able to give whatever ounce of effort you have in you to contribute to your baby (The Omniverse). And I'd be blatantly lying if I said I didn't like your bolstered presence around the site.

You have been teleported back to the Syntech Preshow Facility.

You may post in the Elimination Exit thread at your earliest convenience.

If you are in a fight and everyone agrees (i need confirmation here or in PMs), your fight can end and you will go back to the Preshow Facility immediately. The contest officially ends when everyone is off the island.

If you are eliminated (ie - you didn't die and were sent back to Syntech), you need to write a final post here that entails waking up your from rejuvenation chamber and selecting which verse you would like to teleport to.  The Syntech teleporter will send you to a random spot in that verse.

  Reincarnation I
Posted by: Larfleeze - 07-05-2017, 12:42 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (13)

Well, wasn't that unusual?

In retrospect, he shouldn't have given up so early, or at least waited until he had finished disassembling before he brought down the cave. But there was always next year, should he decide to participate again.

He had a feeling it would go differently, once he pulled together some actual power. If anything, the game had made it clear to him that he was barely a medium-sized fish in a very large pond. He had his ass handed to him, more than once.

It had taken... hours, before his mind was coherent enough to even put these few facts together. His memories, millions of years of information, had been hazy and just out of reach for quite a while, and it was only now that he felt whole again.

The white void of the nexus was all around him, but Chakravartin Wu Kong himself was not truly there. His body was immaterial, unable to interact with the fountain, unable to see another soul.

He wasn't unfamiliar with being immaterial, in fact, for most of his long life he hadn't had substance to his body. Simply a mind, a shape, a concept, and unfathomable, pure, energy. He had been a god for quite a long time, and while that overwhelming power was no longer here, and there was no connection to a host to be found- not even with the blood he spilled in the Danteverse and the hand he had lost in Camelot.

He floated, free, through the Nexus for some time. He watched the people pass by, and pondered his current state of being, as well as what he should do next. He had a goal: Find, and punish the human who had hurt him and his own before the Omniverse. However, he wasn't sure as of a method to hunt her down. He didn't know where she was, but he supposed he could use the Dataverse to find out where she had been. Ozo Mat may have some idea, and there was a chance that the Ghost Pokemon Doc might search for her, should he ask. He was owed a favor, and who knows what methods one could use in the afterlife to track your enemies.

Finally, he decided to try returning to the realm of the living. He willed himself to the ground, to physical form, and dropped. The Death Shroud was gone, and he sucked in a breath of air.

“Death… was more painful than I remember.” he muttered to himself.

He sat on the edge of the fountain, and splashed water onto his face, taking a deep drink from the waters. He contemplated his vengeance, deciding where, exactly, he should go.

However, all these questions resolved themselves when he beheld someone that he had never expected to see.

Another human who he recognized. Someone he hated just as much, if not more, than the Essention girl.

A human with purple hair.

Cirrus Neon. The boy simply… appeared, in a flash of rainbow light, summoned to the Fountain of Infinity. Chakravartin ducked behind it, moving an eye- oh how he had missed having two! -to the tip of his finger, and holding it out over the side of the fountain.

The boy seemed understandably confused, murmuring to himself- likely talking to that traitor, Vampire. For a brief moment, he felt a warmth in his soul, knowing that in this new universe there existed at least one being like him. At least one god as he knew gods. A being who has existed almost as long as him.

And then that warmth shriveled and died as he contemplated her betrayal. Betrayal for the sake of a host. For the sake of a hybrid, at that.

The Essention girl could wait. For now, he would avenge himself upon Cirrus. The boy had come from the Fountain only moments ago- if he struck now, it would be as the more experienced fighter in this world, he knew.

He waited there, for a few moments, drawing out Palace Hand after Palace Hand. With all four ready, he reached for his swords- only to find he would have to make new ones. Ah well.

The four golden hands snapped out, ready to attack, and they snapped onto the boy’s shoulders.

And then, all four were gone. Cirrus shot forward, moving faster than anything Chakravartin had yet seen in the Omniverse. He had moved dozens of meters in a moment, and dragged all four of the hands out of Chakravartin’s range of control.

“What the- Kong?! Sun Wu Kong?!” Cirrus asked, confused, “What the hell do you think you’re doing here? Did you create everything here? You lose on Earth, so you decide to create your own world, only to bring me back here in this weak, slow, state?”

“I wish.” Chakravartin said, “Vampire, if I had my way, I would have left you and your world alone for as long as possible.”

Cirrus narrowed his eyes, before they drifted off to the side. As he listened to words no one else could hear, he let out a sigh of relief, “So you’re not in control? You’re just as weak as me?”

“...”

The human smiled wider, his yellow eyes flashing with amusement, “You’re not even a god any more, Kong. Why-” he reached down, and with a single finger, scraped the golden goop from the floor. He raised the blood-covered finger to his lips, and licked, “-You’re far less delicious than you were before.”

He had to suppress a shudder. Vampire spit on their species revulsion for meat. She existed to drain the Chi from other life forms. Whenever she took a part of you, that part wouldn’t hit the ground and someday reincarnate. Whatever she consumed, was gone. Saru had been annihilated from history, that way, denied reincarnation due to their fates as food for the traitor.

“Disgusting, abominable hybrid.” Chakravartin hissed, he raised a hand, and a Palace Taihou formed, beginning to charge, “I’ll end your life here! I’ll make you suffer, for betraying me, Vampire!”

“Hmph.” Cirrus narrowed his eyes, before the violet skeletal claw of the Fist of the Vampire formed around his hand. He dipped a finger into one of the Palace Hands that had lost cohesion, and Chakravartin shuddered as the gold was drawn into the skeletal hand.

The Fist of the Vampire changed shape, becoming a Taihou similar to his own.

“Come on now, God.” Cirrus said with a grin, “You can’t really expect to beat me in this sorry state, can you? I mean, just from the taste of your blood, I can tell you’re barely even a shadow of your old host! You’re slow, you’re weak, you’re unskilled, you have so little Chi that merely by pulling away, I’ve laid waste to so much of your body.” he began to walk forward, slowly at first, before gaining speed.

Faster, faster.

Chakravartin couldn’t even dodge as the human slammed the glowing orb into Chakravartin’s own. Cirrus kept going, pulling his hand away from his attack, and continuing past the fountain, charging at a hundred miles per hour. Chakravartin didn’t have time to follow the human, however, because he had to deal with the two Palace Taihou going off against his body.

  Drawing Dead

Bobby Stabs and Jim the Gangster stood in front of Mr. Higgs' desk, shuffling their feet and trying to avoid the gaze of one Mr. Charlie Versben, currently Acting Boss while Harlan was away at Dante's Abyss. The bald majordomo steepled his fingers over a manila sheaf of photos, and let out a long sigh. "So. Boys. You're new to the scene, that much is obvious. You're not incompetent, which is also obvious. Did a good job on that Twilek slinging the Amaranth to kids." He pulled out a photo showing Bobby Stabs with blood all over his suit getting dragged into a car while Jim returns fire at an unseen target. "Apparently you get involved in a very large mix up that results in what looks like a near fatal wound for Stabs, here. How is it that these events came to pass when neither I nor the boss had ordered you to go out on your own and do these things?"

Neither besuited youth spoke for a good moment. Charlie raised his voice only slightly. "You tell me everything that happened, or you'll be on bartending duty for four months. And no Studebaker priveliges. Your supply of steady dames will dry up if you can't parade around like the wise guys you think you are."

Jim took his hat off and began. "Well....see...it started with..."

He fell silent, and Charlie filled in the blanks.

"It started with a fuckin' dame, didn't it?"

Quote:Starting With A Fucking Dame

Charlie shakes his head. "Un-be-fuckin'-lievable. You pick up these alien broads, then go DEEP into fuckin' Westside turf, then you take a motherfucking JOB from the teddy bear? Which leads you two fuckin' meatheads right into tussling with the tuskfuckers. Christ. No wonder Bobby got fucked up, hitting orcs with no backup. I...just.....ugh. Go on, kiddies. Uncle Charlie's got all the time in the world."

The boys continue their story.

Quote:Well, You See...

There is an audible smack as Charlie facepalms his own mug. "You dragged Audrey into this as well? Great, well, that's no skin off my nose. She does whatever the hell she wants, and the Boss is sweet on her so he allows it. But goddamn, you two idiots have gotten us mixed up with the Westside entirely by yourselves? Fuck."

Charlie slumps back in the padded leather chair behind Harlan's desk and slides the drawer open. "Guess it's not all bad....at least now we got ourselves a couple of fuckin' ambassadors if we need 'em. Now get the fuck out, and you better pray to whatever gods you believe in the Boss don't flip his lid when he gets back."

The boys hurry out of the room, and Charlie pulls a cigar out of the drawer, lighting it up with slightly shaky fingers. There were perks to being a consigliere.

Too bad they came with responsibilities like sorting out this fuckin' mess.

  An Imperfect Proposal OOC
Posted by: Handsome Jack - 07-04-2017, 08:28 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion - Replies (23)

Shortly after my revival post-DA (cuz let's be honest, I'ma definitely dying here), I'll be heading back to Coruscant for tattoo-removal. Before Cell can decide to ditch his Pops and go out into the world, the guy drops a bombshell on me. Androids 17 and 18 are HERE, in the Omniverse. He offers to give me information leading to their whereabouts. But first, I gotta do him a favor. His supply of "test subjects" from Tier 5 has been interrupted by something going on down there. He wants me to find out what is keeping his goon squads from abducting people and put an end to it, one way or another.

Basic idea is that T5 is Gero's "honey hole" when it comes to getting people without Dredd finding out. T1-4 are too heavily trafficked by the Judge's forces, while 6 and 7 are too polluted to sustain a large population of Secondaries. But the consolidation of the Gangs on T5 have led to both a shortage of gang-members to pull from and the "protection" rackets keeping his goons off their turf.

Cell's job is to fix this problem. This'll lead into some conflict with the Westsiders. We'll work out a proper resolution to the affair that'll satisfy everyone by Arc's end. Feel free to post suggestions, thoughts, and critiques here, as well as to plan things out once this gets started.

Quote:I'm choosing to nave Red not remember the Omni meeting. That's why it's not included.

You're probably wondering how I got here, and there's a totally legit explanation: I have no fucking clue.

Previously, I was in the midst of completely destroying a bug catcher kid. We met in a forest (the only place those fuckers seem to hang, like emo kids loitering Hot Topic) somewhere between Viridian and Pewter. He wore the typical “I like bugs” outfit—khaki shorts, older brother's loose tank-top, and one of those stupid ass hats—while hiding behind a tree.

Dude probably assumed I didn't see him, but I did; I walked passed his dumbass on purpose, because I knew it would entice him to challenge me. Little known fact: I already had seven gym badges—that's right, I bucked the goddamn system, got them out of order (Hollywood will probably create a vaguely accurate movie about my success, replacing my name with some retarded condiment pun).

I took a sadistic pleasure in torturing his line-up. Each Metapod he called upon to fight on his behalf received the punishment of my Charizard. I specifically ordered my servant to roast them with his tail flame; the helpless fellows all tried to harden, but slowly bubbled like marshmallows until showcasing those familiar 'X' eyes.

Bug catcher Tony (I think? Who cares, he was bug catcher my bitch currently) began quivering like the frigid pussy he was. His eyes were all bold, and glossy—it was a mixture of fright and disbelief. I guess his theory of Metapods being the best Pokemon had been proven wrong that day.

It was the perfect opportunity to add insult to injury. “Suck my nuts, bug boy,” I shouted.

I opened my flap to say more, but a weird sensation started to claw at my brain. Then I whited out.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When I regained consciousness, my surroundings were vastly different. Regardless of which direction I turned my head, my eyes caught the same scenery of empty white plains, which extended as far as my vision permitted; if not for a small contrast in shade, rimming the horizon, the sky could have seamlessly blended into the earth.

Was this heaven? Couldn't be. I didn't have a doctrine in religion, but even a retard could tell you my ass had no business in a place like heaven . . . at least not the biblical version. Hell, perhaps? Not enough people doing meth and practicing sodomy. No people at all, actually.

I was alone.

  Fell On Black Days
Posted by: Broly - 07-04-2017, 05:31 AM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (1)

You'd think that as a maximum security prisoner Raven would be under surveillance at all hours. As the witching hour approached there was always a guard change and her cell fell into darkness for just under three minutes. Permanent isolation meant that her visual senses had been completely blinded by the lack of visible light. However, the newly forged war veteran could easily keep track of the footsteps above her by the distinct sound of polished footsteps upon the thick steel plating that hung above her. Rachel Roth had been found guilty of war crimes against the people of Earth. She couldn’t remember what had happened during the five years it had lasted, but she would always remember the look on Batman’s face when he sentenced her to death.

That day had arrived.

Everyone she had thought was friends were now perfectly okay with purposely killing her. This made absolutely no sense and it drove the young Roth mad as she spent her days restrained similarly to the Joker. She had been bound, straitjacketed, gagged, shackled, and suspended inside a bunker-like cell. Her meals consisted of an intravenous solution injected directly through the apparatus into her stomach.

She couldn’t even die of humiliation.

“Prisoner of War 864906. Execution to be carried out immediately. Sergeant! Seal that door!”

A faint whir from behind the wall filled her cell as the machinery required to snuff her life from existence spun up. For the first time in what felt like years, Raven began struggling with her bindings.

“It’ll all be over soon, Roth. Your debt will be paid.”

That’s what he had said!

Raven’s mind shot back to her last court appearance. After spending several years in a black site for empowered humans she had been recalled to appear before a military tribunal for final sentencing. That’s where Batman had decided her fate among her other friends. She had broken down into tears, screaming for Beast Boy to forgive her.

He had been killed and no one had bothered to tell her.

Robin had stopped the enforcers from hauling her away long enough to relay a message.

Your debt will be paid…

She wasn’t going to die without answers. What had she done? Why had she been cast to rot for so many years before being executed? The answers were out there and she needed to find them. Before she could call forth her powers a wrenching explosion ripped the very room in half spilling moonlight into the cell. Raven’s bound form was tossed against the only intact wall remaining as the very ground she lay on began to shatter and leech with translucent black energy.

A figure dropped down to her level and strode up to her. Raven could barely make out who it was.

“Robin?”

Just as a blade was swung for her neck she was enveloped in a swirling vortex of white and black particles. As Roth fell into the interdimensional hole the Earth she had known was ripped in twain by a black hole. Almost immediately everything went a brilliant white color. Her hearing was greeted by the sound of amused laughter. Rachel opened her eyes to realize that her vision had been restored, but that she was looking at some sort of faceless man.

I can’t move.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

As the last of his words echoed Raven felt a sudden loss of gravity as she was dropped into a marble fountain. Inexplicably her body exploded into a fine shower of red and black particles. As they passed through the structure of the fountain, they coalesced into the shape of an unconscious Rachel Roth. A passing Stormtrooper radioed for assistance as he jogged over to see if the young woman was alright.

I was wondering - What kind of attacks have you always loved in Anime history? We watch anime for the feels and the fights, but there's always those amazing moves and power up we die for!

To be truthful, Im not a big Naturo fan but one of my favorite all time attacks is Lee's Hidden Lotus.

I haven't watched One Piece in forever but god I love Gum Gum Jet Gatling.(That's what it's called right?)

Lastly, is Velvet Scarlatina's weapon Light Copies. She takes pictures of weapons and of their users using them and instantly learns they're skills and can use their weapons. Fucking cool.
