Switching: Pyrrha Nikos > Yang Xiao Long
Posted by: Yukika Inoue - 03-17-2018, 12:48 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (9)

CHARACTER NAME: Yang Xiao Long

CHARACTER SOURCE: RWBY(Vol 1-2)

CHARACTER HISTORY:

Yang Xiao Long is the blonde beauty of RWBY. A half-sister to Ruby Rose, her mother left her at a young age, same as her sister. Her main aspiration is to find her mother, or what happened to her. She was trained by Qrow, her hunter uncle. After training to potential, she found herself in Beacon Academy, where she would train to defend the world from the forces of Grimm. Though, Yang’s motives were different. Her time at Beacon was meant to hone her combat prowess to eventually find her mother, Raven. Still, she searches for her, unable to believe that Raven was dead.

Yang entered the Omniverse after a food fight with a group of friends, where she was knocked so high in the air, she never came down.(This was just after the end of Volume 1) After falling unconscious in midair, she wound up before Omni himself.

PERSONALITY

Yang could be described as, by her own voice actor, “A person who would teach you to swim by pushing you in the water.” She is brash, relentless and reckless, however, it seems to work perfectly for her. That is, until she loses her cool. When she is overtaken, Yang will hardly switch tactics, if not even become even more reckless to the point of destroying the combat area in collateral. That being said, Yang is still the pun/fun loving huntress with a good heart, looking to do some good in the world while also finding her long lost mother in the process.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Aspects:
Height: 1.73m(5’8)
Weight: Roughly between 140-150 give or take 5lb.
Eye color: Lilac, Red when angry
Hair Color: Golden, burns when angry
Handedness: Right
Expert at Punching, and puns.

STATS:
ATK: 5
DEF: 3
SPD: 1
TEC: 1

PROFICIENCIES: Physical Strength; Ranged Proficiency(2000)

POWERS: Master Super Jumping, Master Acrobat, Burst Movement(2000)

MOVES:

Ember Celica
Required - Ranged; Physical Strength
Optional - Super Jumping, Burst Movement
Cost (600)

The Ember Celica is wrist mounted shotgun gauntlet that, when idle, look like a pair of bracelets to unsuspecting foes. Those who make fun of such deadly weaponry will come to find themselves on the business end of Yang’s fists. The gauntlets not only function as decent protection from simple attacks, such as swords, but enhances the potential of the golden-beauty’s melee ability. And, if bludgeoning people with well crafted steel isn’t good enough, Yang can shoot shotgun bullets from them as well.

Ember Celica functions well in close and long range in it’s gun form, as they are both useable as long as it is retracted. The gun holds twenty-four shots per gauntlet, adding up to forty-eight in total. When in close range, Yang can trigger a function on her gauntlets that allow her to fire upon force. When her shots connect with something, a shot will be fired. Though, these ‘shots’ are assume not to be bullets, but more likely those of ‘force’ similar to that of a Dragonball Ki-Blast. These shots are extremely simple, roughly about two feet in diameter. They travel completely straight at the speed of an arrow until they meet a target, but come weaker the further they travel. Around 100 feet is when they would begin to be half as strong as normal. They usually take Yang about three seconds to reload, and she always carries more belts of ammo in her pouch.(Around six, so three for each gun) A belt of ammo takes around twenty seconds to summon.

Yang is seen constantly using Ember Celica to gain advantages in place of wasting ammo, such as feats like move quickly in short bursts, or jumping extremely high with numerous shots.

Aura(Yang Version)
Required - Physical Strength
Cost (300)

A constantly defensive barrier of manifested willpower. This ‘barrier’ protects it’s ‘wearer’ from direct damage in their stead. It is shown to be relatively weak but can recharge over time if they don’t take damage over sometime. Yang’s aura is shown to be one of the toughest in the series, rarely depleting, but has a slower regeneration than a normal hunter. The amazing feature of Yang’s aura comes from her semblance, as all semblances consume aura. Yang’s semblance seems to be reversed compared to others. Instead of using aura to activate a semblance, Yang’s semblance activates the more her aura is depleted, gradually gaining more power as she sustains more damage.(This is flavor unless used with a power-up) Even still, an aura can protect from cuts and bruises while active. The aura is strong enough to take ten hits from normal attacks(Equal to her defense) before depleting. While the aura is active, Yang cannot concentrate on other techniques that would require such attention(like using her semblance). Aura begins to recharge after ten seconds of not sustaining damage, but it recharges slowly. It takes ten minutes to recharge from fully being depleted, and cannot extend past the user’s body at all.

Semblance - Tier One Power-Up
requires Yang's Aura(depleted upon use), Physical Strength
Cost (1000)

Yang gets angry! When enraged enough, Yang activates her semblance, instantly dropping her defensive aura to gain a strength advantage. (Aura must be recharged after use as it will be completely consumed until so). Her eyes turn red and her hair seems to mock flames while this is active.

Posted by: Kopaka - 03-16-2018, 11:11 PM - Forum: The Nexus - Replies (15)

The eerie silence of the Nexus was split apart by the shrill whine of two EPD issue swoop bikes rocketing across the flawless porcelain terrain. Kopaka was not fond of riding these mechanical contraptions, or even other creatures for that matter. If the Toa of Ice had to get somewhere he preferred to rely on the powers of his Kanohi, or in other words, himself.

Dawn, however, insisted that they procure some form of mount in order to traverse this trackless expanse. Her reasoning was sound enough; there was little sense in trying to maintain a low profile when a wary opponent would be able to see them coming from miles away. The two hunters stared straight ahead, trying to avoid the vertigo associated with Nexus travel. Fixing one's gaze on the ardent horizon was usually the best recourse, and the powers of the Akaku gave Kopaka an advantage in that regard. As the biomech readjusted his focus, a small notification pipped on to his heads-up display. After reading it, he pressed a finger on to his EPD datavice, sending a crackling message to Dawn's headset.

"We have a new target, in the Nexus at the Fountain. Adjust course thirteen degrees north." Kopaka said plainly. He glanced over at the woman riding next to him, and met her leering eyes through her thick goggles. She glanced down at her own datavice and made an impatient face.

"Can't be anyone on the bounty board, you'd have told me." she radioed in reply. Kopaka blinked slowly.

"It's a Prime that was reported attacking EPD troopers. I'm obligated to respond." he said in a tone that refused to be challenge. Dawn made another face.

"I'll tag along, but I'm not helping out. No freebies." the bounty hunter quipped. She dialed in the Fountain of Infinity into the swoop's nav computer, and the red-brown vehicle whined off sharply to the left. Kopaka turned his own bike to follow, and fixed his magnified gaze on their new destination. Considering the Fountain's current form, at least one of its current visitors was an absolute monster. As it so happened, slaying such monsters was hardwired into Kopaka's core functions.

Precisely two minutes later, Kopaka wrenched his swoop bike into a lateral slide and cut the engines. The Bionicle allowed the momentum to flow into his hefty bulk, launching him into the air. He skidded along the Nexus floor on ice-covered feet before coming to a halt a few meters from some sort of feral beast and a young human girl.

"H...help." Viola meeped as tears borne from an admixture of fear and throttling leaked down her face. Kopaka was not in a hurry. Servos in his neck slowly buzzed as he shifted his gaze from the blue-haired female to the costumed monstrosity.

"Hmph! Hmmmph! So many annoying little interruptions today!" Pennywise squealed, running a gore-spattered claw down the left side of his face. His grip on the child did not release. At least not until a sharp bang echoed across the blasted landscape. It was a potshot on Dawn's part, seeing as how the high-caliber round only grazed the rubbery fabric of the clown's arm. Still, it was enough to make It drop Viola in sheer surprise. A feral howl flew from the dancing demon's lips as Viola scrabbled away from the frightful predator. Before the gruesome thing could make chase, however, he found his path blocked by this clanking, buzzing thing that had come to ruin Its dinner.

"I thought you said you were not interested in free work." Kopaka droned, raising his shield against Pennywise. At first, the dimensional lurker genuinely had no idea what this was supposed to mean until It discerned that this chilly contraption had been speaking aloud to the gunwoman nearby. Dawn racked another shot as she crouched at the far side of The Fountain and chuckled slightly.

"Bounty board updated a minute ago. Guess who's fugly and has cash for brains?" Dawn chirped. She kept her eyes focused on the clown creep, but she was aware that Its lost dinner was currently crawling towards her. Deep down, the bounty huntress did feel some degree of pity for the blue-haired kid, but the Reaper knew a Prime when she saw one. For all she knew this 'kid' could be some mass-murdering psychopath in her home universe. As the drool covered girl moved towards her, the huntress shot Viola a glance that demanded the child to keep her ass put.

A moment of stillness came and went...

White.

Pale.

Blinding.

The color, or lack of it depending on one's perspective, was beginning to bore the Arrancar. His baser instincts craved for the darkness of night and the comforting glow of an ominous moon. A shiver would race down the paper spine of the boy, the steel grey of his eyes trailing over the emanating light of the portal. This was what was rumored to be similar to Hueco Mundo, or at least as close as this place could muster without intervention and within this great desert a land that rivaled that of Los Noches by its description, Nippur. Serraph recognized the name from historical texts. He had once derived that this was an ancient city nestled within the theorized birthplace of human civilization. This city was under the flag of New Babylon, no less!  For a librarian looking to create a vast ocean of knowledge, this would be a suiting place to call home for the time being.

His finger tips would touch the glowing soup of ominilinium, his outstretched arm trembling from anticipation. Aye, he had used Coruscant's twice, but what if it were different? What if he were to step out onto the other side as a completely different man? What if the Endless Dunes weren't as what was told? What if? What if?

"What if? What If? What... if...", his lips mouthed, his voice crackling as thoughts became spoken words. He'd press against the gateway, the heavenly glow of the gate offering no resistance to him. He'd take a step, then another, and then another. His eyes would be blinded, but not by the soft luminescence of the portal, but by the hostile, yellow light of the sun leveled directly into his eyes. The Arrancar would recoil back,  nearly stumbling back through the gateway. He was not prepared in the slightest.

The sun bore down upon him relentlessly, his paper skin drying quite quickly. It was a strange experience being able to feel the outer layer of one's flesh slowly shrivel as the few molecules of water it contained were quickly ripped away. His teeth would clench together, the rays of heat weaving its way through him.  It was too uncomfortable for the boy to bear and so he held out his hand, the glowing light of coalescing omnilinium forming and shaping itself. Serraph's hand would tighten like a vice around the object, a rather broad umbrella formed within his grip. He'd twirl the new object and allowed it to expand before aiming at the vengeful star in the sky, hiding in the shadow the umbrella gave. The relief was minor, providing no solace to the intense heat from the radiating sands, but it was a start. It was fairly difficult to explore his own thoughts with a supernova blasting in his face.

He'd begin walking, his shoes sifting through the worn trail through the savanna he'd happened upon. So far this was nothing like Hueco Mundo. His home was cold and trapped in eternal night. Dunes stretched in all directions as far as the eye can see. It was so, what was the word, consistent. Of course dark petrified trees dotted the landscape but that was home. There were no shinigami to attempt to slay you. Only the conflicts with his kin remained there to keep himself occupied.

Good place to organize stuff.

I am working on a post now. Contrary to popular belief that I never write anything, I'm simply ridiculously slow. About 230 words in, but kids keep demanding my help with their games, so I've been on and off on it. And I got a D&D in half an hour. Maybe. I should be able to toss out some garbage writing before the end of the night, however. I'll keep ya posted.

Howdy folks, I'm wondering if there is any automotive junkies/nerds here other than myself. I have been wanting to create this thread for a while now to talk about what's our favorite automotive manufacturers, dream cars, what cars we drive, engines we like, do we prefer to drive manual or automatic, and anything else that involves automotive. For those who don't know anything about cars or hasn't driven one, feel free to post and don't be shy. Smile

We can all share car pictures here too even if it's your daily driver!

I appreciate your quick response and I’ll admit, a good mercenary guild is worth its weight in gold. Prove your worth you may have your desire. However, you had better send your best if you want to earn an Uchiha blade.
