I have decided to open shop. Anyone needing/wanting a sig can come through and get themselves some character design (Avatar, Signature, Custom Character Imaging, etc) done.

So far as Custom Character Design, Anime/Animated styles are easiest, and live-action are DOABLE, but not-so-easy.

[float=right][/float]Location/Role: The Librarian AI is the caretaker of the Databanks, the massive archive 'centrally' located in the Dataverse. The Databanks is also the only neutral place in the verse, and the massive Victorian-style mansion that houses the 'archives' is defended by an indestructible shield. Anyone who attempts to cause violence inside the Databanks will be forcibly ejected from the structure. More often than not, those who attempt such actions never return from the Dataverse.

As both a caretaker and the head librarian, the Librarian AI can be literally found everywhere. As he is a program, he is completely aware of everything occurring inside the Databanks and its various pocket realities where visitors may experience their stories and articles 'for real.' As such, he is always present, whether in his physical form (usually a Victorian gentleman) or as a voice from a terminal, access point, or hidden speaker.

Story: It is unknown where or when the Librarian AI came into existence. Was it designed by someone or is the program some sort of digital prime? For as long as anyone can recall, the Databanks have always stood, and the stacks therein have always been tended to by the same individual. Some argue that the Librarian AI is a physical part of the Omniverse itself, much like the volcanoes of the Ashen Plains, the rolling hills of Camelot, or the islands of the Vasty Deep.

What is known, however, is that the Librarian AI is the single most complex and advanced virtual entity within the Dataverse and the Omniverse. His capacity for learning and growth are immense and some say he is continually writing and developing his own internal programming. Despite being a purely digital being, the Librarian Agent most often appears to users in the form of kind older gentleman, silver haired and wearing a suit. He is friendly and warm, and more than willing to help with any questions or requests by users. Although his is technically confined to the Databanks, the Librarian AI is without a doubt the most knowledable being in the Omniverse with the exception of Omni himself. If one travels deep enough in the to the stacks of the Databanks, they can find works on just about anything stemming from the Omniverse and the millions of other verses that primes are pulled from. While it is said that not a single prime enters the Omniverse without Aragorn or Palpatine knowing, it can also be argued that the Librarian AI isn't too far behind those two powerful individuals when it comes to cataloging and learning about a new arrival.

While not a fighter by any means of the word, the Librarian Agent has sophisticated self-defense systems set up, ejecting anyone who would cause problems in the Databanks instantly without offering them any chance to resist. No one is sure where this power comes from, but within the virtual world of the Dataverse, things are significantly different to that of the corporeal verses.

[float=right][/float]Location/Role: As the 'patron' of Dalaran's largest library, the Librarian never leaves the walls of the building, especially after he was transformed into his present state.  Furthermore, his lack of speech makes it somewhat difficult to communicate with him using traditional methods.  Either way, he has become somewhat skilled at helping others, and despite being unable to talk, he still understands speech.

Story: Originally a low level wizard at the Unseen University, the Librarian was transformed into an 'orang-utan' during a magical accident. While some might have been bothered by such an occurrence, he found it to be quite useful for maintaining a library. While he may now be unable to communicate via means other thank “ook, eek” and furious gesturing, the strength and flexibility of his primeape form helps considerably with managing a library of enormous stacks that is frequented by easily intimidated wizards.

The Librarian arrived in the Omniverse several years after his magical transformation.  He quickly found himself drawn to the magic of Dalaran and its magnificent library.  The wizards, after all, seemed to understand what he meant to say, much like they did in his own world.  When the previous head of the Library suffered a fatal accident during a game of quidditch, the orang-utan was the natural successor.  He has managed the library ever since and finds a great deal of pride in the fact that 95% of books are never returned late.

[float=right][/float]Location/Role: Rex Libris is the Head Librarian of the Great Library of Coruscant and the Archives of Ultan. He spends most of his time in the Great Library on Coruscant's Top Tier, fiddling with dusty tomes or helping individuals locate their book or periodical. Rex is known to visit the Archives every few weeks to supervise shipments or perform other clerical duties that require his presence. Despite his somewhat abrasive personality and his less-than-stellar relationship with Judge Dredd, Rex is an approachable fellow, unless you have an overdo book. In which case, you might want to slip your payment through the depository slip and flee...

Story: Rex Libris appears as a clean shaven, black haired, bespectacled man in his mid forties. Perpetually wearing what appears to be the same black suit, with white shirt and standing over six and a half feet tall, Rex is an intimidating figure even before you notice the handgun that is constantly within his reach. The librarian is a gruff fellow, often more interested in making sure you are following library rules than having an actual conversation, though talk of books and research are always of interest to him. He is quick to anger, but also quick to calm.

Despite his appearance as a man in his mid forties, Rex Libris is in truth thousands of years old. He began his life as a librarian at the Great Library of Alexandria, before being blessed by the Ancient Egyptian god Thoth as a reward for his great service as Head Librarian there. Eternally bound to the earth and to serve as a librarian, Rex wandered from library to library over the ages. His last post, at the Middleton town library, was but a handful of years ago. He had only just found himself to be finally settled there, when he was whisked away to the Omniverse.

[float=left][/float]Ignoring Camelot simply due to its outward apprentice, Rex wound up in Coruscant. Once there, he found no library to call his own, so he decided to create his own. In the process of doing so, he summoned a secondary, Ultan, to serve as a caretaker for an archive of rare books. This archive, originally a wing of the Great Library, was later relocated to Tier Five when it outgrew its original confines. In order to create a library on the First Tier, Rex had to strike a deal with Emperor Palpatine. Rex would be allowed to run his library with him as the sole person with jurisdiction over it, but in return, Rex agreed to ensure that the library was a place ideal for the citizens of Coruscant. He also had to agree not to carry any seditious texts, although Rex would circumvent this by having anything deemed too politically damaging classified as 'archival texts' and having the moved to the less heavily policed Tier Five.

Rex is determined to ensure that any library under him is run smoothly and according to library rules. Anyone unable to abide by the rules will find his or herself removed or even barred from the library. Rex has been known to use force if needed. As books tend to attract the attention of otherworldly denizens and all manners of evil spirits, Rex has become a formidable fighter, and he is happy to use his abilities to protect his library.

There are tales among the youth of Coruscant that he even banned Judge Dredd himself from the library after a disagreement over who had the right of jurisdiction within the hallowed glass halls. Dredd, while still seething over the event, knows that Rex has the approval of the Emperor, and while the two are happy to glare daggers at each other throw the glass walls of the building, he has yet to try and enter again.

Ultan
One of Rex Libris’ secondaries, Ultan is an elderly, wizened man constantly wearing a grey cloak and cowl. He is a friendly man, but exceptionally eccentric. While his knowledge of all the books in the archives is incredible, with memory of minute details from every single dusty tome, he enjoys recounting trivia from the books far more than most people are able to stand. Despite all this, he is unparalleled in his ability to locate exactly the book someone is looking for.

Oddly enough, Ultan is the caretaker of the archives that bear his name on Coruscant's Tier Five. Despite his appearence and the rare books he safeguards, there are few individuals who have attempted to rob the Archives. Rumors persist that those who tried never made it back out of the archives..

Thought I would post these. Again, nothing super fancy, but some ideas I had.

Hey, say I want to throw my melee weapon in a fight, to take out someone who's escaping or something.  Do I need ranged proficiency to do that, or is it assumed I'm proficient enough with the weapon martially to accomplish this?

Edit: And a question about extraction.  If Whirda chose to (for in character reasons not yet written, such as a sudden need for as much OM as possible to settle a vendetta or something), can she extract it from, say, fresh corpses of enemies?  Like if she killed goblins would they be worth OM, provided she spent the time required?

Alright, so I've finally been able to read through that massive event topic known as the Scramble, and from reading it, I just have a few things that I would like to be made a bit more clear for me:

Roleplaying as other Playable Characters

This is not something I am inherently used to, and, it could be because I have not been roleplaying that long, but, I have never seen it done to the extent that it has been in the Scramble. I suppose I would just like some finite rulings about it . . . more so than the only mention of it in the rules which seems to be in regards to battling with other Primes.

Basically, what is and what is not expected? Do I HAVE to let others roleplay as my character, and, do I HAVE to roleplay as theirs? Answers to those sort of questions is what I am looking for.

Controlling Npcs

This somewhat goes along with my first section, but, I noticed more of an inconsistency here with how people are dealing with them. Some for instance are not roleplaying them at all (which honestly I would prefer), and letting the staff roleplay both their characters and the Npcs responding to them. While others are doing both, roleplaying the npc's and their respective characters, while, allowing staff to do the same.

Likewise, I have similar questions as above. Does staff always have the right to control what our character's say, or, how they respond? Again, do I have to roleplay as the Npcs myself as well?
