Okaaaaaaaay.

Anime is something I've been kicking myself lately to try and get into, and whilst there's a lot of 'em I'm already aware of and going to give them a watch sometime, there's still quite a few more obscure and lesser-known decent ones that I haven't came across. You can recommend to me animes that you enjoy, or ones that you think would suit my tastes here, if you want

It's preferable (but not mandatory) they have full English dubs, though. Subtitled is fine, but I find the Japanese voices in the background a bit distracting :3

Dragon Ball Z (Yeah, yeah. It's a classic and all that, I know, but whilst I've heard that it's a got a brilliant plot line and can be considered a worthy watch, I've equally been told that it doesn't cater for more maturer audiences very well.)

Yu Gi Oh (Not out of any specific hatred for it, or anything. But this is the one anime I remember distinctly getting into as a kid. Don't remember much of it, then again, so rewatching it through could always be nice)

Character name: Mario Mario

Character source: Super Mario Bros

Character history: Mario is an old school hero. Born in Brooklyn, the plump plumber went missing and ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom with his brother Luigi, where they were rescued by a type of friendly dinosaur known as a Yoshi. They grew up, raised in various enviroments, including their birthland, where they learned their trades. Mario started as a construction worker, but after that job went odd and he broke up with his girlfriend Paulina, the red warrior became a plumber. He rediscovered the land he was rescued in during this time and later became a full time resident of the Mushroom Kingdom. He spent his time rescuing princesses, stopping King Koopa, playing various sports, and throwing parties. Not to mention eating lots of cake.

After his most recent adventure, he found himself in a strange black void...

Starting Moves:
Super Hammer- 600 (A basic mallet type hammer. It's handle is made of a wood-like material that capable of resisting being broken by extreme use. The Hammer's head is a big cylinder shaped hunk of steel. It needs the physical strength proficiency in order to be wielded, and weighs about 200 pounds. Mario has had plenty of time to adapt to this particular weapon and has no trouble slinging it around with ease. It fits comfortable in either one or two hands and can be thrown. This is why it costs 600 OM, because two hands hit with more force than one, allowing for greater damage, and it can also be thrown, making it a ranged attack. And if Mario spins and throws it, adding momentum to it, the thrown attack can potentially deal even more damage.)
Fireball- 600 (Mario fires a simple fireball from his hands. It' a relatively simple fire based attack that uses one hand. Mario can also charge it using both hands over the course of a few seconds, making the attack power variable.)

Character history:

Obito was a lonely kid who didn't know who his parents were, only that he was an Uchiha. He grew up in an orphanage, hoping his life would become better by someday becoming a ninja of Konohagakure and becoming the Hokage, the village leader of Konoha. So, when he was of age to go, he went to the academy, where he learned how to be a shinobi, and where he also desperately sought friendship with other students, despite that fact that he was goofy and clumsy and often picked on and ignored (not to mention he got into trouble almost every day for being tardy due to his need to be the village "boy-scout", helping the elderly and performing good deeds whenever he could). At the academy is where he met his future friend, crush, and teammate, Rin Nohara, the only person who really treated him nicely in school. It's also where he met his other teammate and rival, Kakashi Hatake, whom he would grow to both hate and envy in the coming years, because no matter how hard Obito tried to do something better than Kakashi, Kakashi was always the one who performed better than he did. Rin also seemed to really like Kakashi, and this is where all the rivalry would begin between the two boys.



Graduating from the academy, the three new Genin got the coolest sensei ever, Minato Namikaze. He taught Obito, Kakashi, and Rin really good values of being a shinobi and a good person. Obito looked up to him a lot, but as always, it seemed Kakashi got more of the spotlight than him, and Obito always made bad judgements, and was always the first to goof up on missions and other tasks. Still, Obito couldn't give up! He had to be better than Kakashi, and he had to get Rin to love him, and one day he would be the Hokage! He swore it, he would! Then the Chuunin Exams came, and Obito was sure he would become a Chuunin, until...he got his ass handed to him by Might Guy. Kakashi and Rin went on to be Chuunin, leaving Obito behind, which only made Obito work twice as hard until he too would become a Chuunin!

Not too much later...disaster struck the Ninja World, with Ninja World War Three, and Obito was angry beyond words when Kakashi was made a Jounin. Obito therefore, didn't bring Kakashi a gift for his promotion, though Minato-Sensei and Rin did. He felt a little bad about it, but his anger and resentment for Kakashi overpowered his embarasment. Furthermore, Minato was called to the front-lines of the attack on Iwa and made Kakashi in charge of the mission to secure the Kannabi Bridge. It was safe to say that Obito was upset, but at least for the beginning of the mission, things were going well...that is, until they were tracked and cornered by several Iwa shinobi. The three fought with all that they could, but during the scuffle, Rin was caught and held with a kunai at the throat. These men were taking Rin as a hostage, and if they wanted her back, they'd have to come and get her. Obito refused to let them take her! He wanted to go after them immediately, but Kakashi expressed his concerns about this, saying it was more important to complete the mission without her, and that following those guys would probably be a trap.

This was the last straw! Obito was furious! He told Kakashi he was nothing but trash if he'd abandon his friend without even trying to save her. Thus, Obito left Kakashi and ran off to save Rin on his own. He would arrive at the cave, only to be found out by an Iwa-nin using a technique to hide their body in the rock with camoflauge. Obito would have been in serous trouble right then if it hadn't been for Kakashi coming to his rescue, coming to help out with getting back Rin after all. From his need to succeed in Rin's rescue and help Kakashi beat all these jerks, Obito unlocked his Sharingan, which would allow him to see through the hidden rock technique and kill Taiseki (one of the Iwa-nin). Shortly after this, Obito and Kakashi were able to get to Rin and release her from her restraints. However, the cave was collapsing around them! Everyone rushed for the exit, but Kakashi was about to get smashed by a boulder! Obito pushed him out of the way, to save his rival, now friend, and Obito became trapped under the huge stone, his body's right side completely smashed, and Obito laying there dying, said for Rin to remove his left eye and give it to Kakashi. He deserved it after all. Kakashi was a Jounin, and all Obito was was a failure.

As Obito lay there, sure he was dead, for his soul wandered now away from his body, he could hear a voice speaking out to him. Was it the voice of an old man? He thought so at first...but no, it wasn't. The boy was told to wake up, and he would do so sitting up. his vision blurry, but coming into focus after a while. He rubbed his eyes, squinted, and he saw a strange light. The voice told the child, "Welcome. I am Omni. You seem like a very interesting boy, so I have brought you here to give you a second chance."

Physical Description: Obito stands about five feet and two inches (he's relatively short for being fourteen years old). He's not too skinny, not too bulky either, his build being more speed oriented with lean muscular features. He has short black hair in a spiky haircut, a single obsidian colored eye that turn to red with a ring of tomoe around the middle pupil (when he activates the Sharingan), and he wears his shinobi headband sideways on his head to cover the missing eye on the left side of his face. He has a fair skin tone. For clothing, the boy is usually seen wearing a dark blue jacket with orange trim and an orange collar, accompanied by a white t-shirt, long blue pants, or khaki shorts. Other times though, he may change up his outfit and wear other types of clothing, usually in black, blue,white, or orange. Regardless of what he wears, he always has a pair of goggles to wear, and he always has the Uchiha Clan emblem of the red and white fan on the back of his clothing. With these things, the boy wears standardized ninja footwear- leather sandals with openings for the toes, though closed at the back with rubber soles (in blue or black), a headband with a metal forehead protector, and steel-plated leather gloves with finger holes.

Kunai and Shuriken (requires Ranged Proficiency)- These are the basic projectile weapons used the world over by all Shinobi. Obito carries on him twenty-five of each type of these steel weapons (kunai and shuriken). He can use them in a variety of attacks, using them to cause diversions, strike moving targets, in conjunction with Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, etc. They have a range of 0-30 meters when thrown.

Crona's mind ran through the words over and over in his head, he had been called worse, and taken a more brutal beating simply for being what he was, but for some reason Sivo's words weighed him down and played on his mind. The Enginseer wasn't even from his own world, and still he was hated and effectively attacked on sight. Perhaps he was a terrible creature that needed to be purged, but that didn't mean he would just lay down and die. "You cant protect anything from me. I will... I will..." The thought of destruction was enough to cause Crona's blood to boil, but the child clenches his fists and grits his teeth, forcing the idea from his mind, he needed to think of something else. Anything else.

With a slow, cautious eye, he takes in his surroundings. A pair of Stormtroopers sat uneasily infront him, not daring to let their guard down against the potentially dangerous prime that they were transporting away from the scene of battle. The floating sky-taxi seemed slightly different to those that he had seen before when he had first entered Coruscant, this one had bars on the windows that made it annoyingly difficult to see the city below. The boy supposed it belonged to the local law-enforcement, though the idea simply gave Crona the gripping fear that he was a prisoner. Perhaps now would be a good time to make an escape before they landed somewhere more secure.

Almost as soon as he even considered escaping, they had already landed, and the door slid open to reveal a terrifyingly large building, swamped on either side by other sets of skyscrapers that seemed to stretch in every direction. In truth, most buildings could be considered 'terrifyingly' large, but his fear didn't stop him as one of the Stormtroopers tried to usher him out of the skycar. "Come on, now, we dont have all day." There was no real point hiding in the car, and so the boy crawls out, flanked by the Stormtroopers, as they escorted into the building before him.

Once inside, and after a quick frisk for any weapons, he was quickly moved down deeper into the facility. The initial search for any contraband quickly made Crona incredibly uncomfortable, and was pretty much a useless exercise since he carried nothing but a robe. He himself was the weapon, though it seemed like they didn't know, or at least it didnt bother them. As the bland corridor that the group walked him through seemed to stretch on forever, aside from a few meaningless letters adorning the wall next to some fancy-looking doors, Crona was helpless as he whimpered lightly to himself and grabbed hold of his other hand for comfort. He wondered where they were taking him, if he would ever escape, or if they would let him go, what they wanted with him, what they would do to him... It reminded him of a time in his childhood with his mother, long ago, and he thought he had left the feeling behind along time ago.

"Crona. Crona! Why are you following along with these morons? We can rip them apart. Easily." A familiar voice sounds off in the boy's head. The obnoxious rumbling of his eternal demon companion was an unmistakable tone. "First you nearly lose to that gearhead, and now youre just walking to death-knows-where? You arent usually this dumb, whats wrong with you?!" Ragnarok whines again, but Crona simple keeps his silence, and his head down as he continued his walk along the corridor. He wanted more then anything to be left alone, or at the very least, to be home with his friends.

Friends! He had totally forgotten about Jon! The boy stops in his tracks at the realization, causing the flanking Stormtroopers to go on alert. "Uhm....Sorry, l-lets keep going." He speaks quickly, not even waiting for a response as he continued along, head down, as the Stormtroopers rushed to catch up. His mind wanders back to his ally, what had happened to Jon? The man had stood behind him, even after seeing Ragnarok, and went as far as defending him when he was attacked. But... Jon was just a man, perhaps he didn't even survive. Perhaps he had died defending Crona.

Tears well up in the child's eyes. He had only met one friend in this strange world, and already he had lost him. He bit down on his lip, trying to stem the impending sob, but soon he was distracted as a white gauntlet grabs him on the shoulder. It seemed as though they had arrived at wherever they were taking him, a door like any other with a 'J' just to the side. One of the stormtroopers presses a few buttons on a panel to the side, and the door slides open. Crona foolishly enters out of instinct, and the door slides closed once again. Leaving him alone with a bed, a toilet, and a window that was barely larger then a crack in the wall.

The boy looks around the room, a sense of complete woe and helpless welling in his gut. He had been in many prisons before, his whole childhood was spent in a empty prison room, and even those who trusted him most at the Academy had kept him under lock and key. Unsure of what else to do, Crona grabs a pillow from the bed, and sets himself down in the far corner of the room, tucking his feet into his gut and squeezing tightly on the pillow in a vain effort to calm himself.

With nothing else to do, Crona bawls his eyes into the pillow, heaving between breathes as a stream of tears flow into the waiting pillow. It was all too much for him to deal with, everything that had happened in the past few hours was enough for him to lose all hope, and so he sits and wails as loud as his lungs could manage. He didn't care if people could hear, or what people thought, perhaps they thought he was just a child. Pathetic.

Pathetic.

Only a few minutes had passed before the word crossed his mind, and as soon as he does he tosses the pillow angrily against the side of the opposite wall. He wouldn't be defeated here, he had friends to return to on his own world. Friends that needed him, just like friends here that needed him. He just... needed time to recover, thats all. He was still injured from the most recent fight, he had a bruised face and and his ribs ached, and a slice along his side, but he knew Ragnarok would recover his wounds, eventually, it was only a matter of time.

He hoped the white armor-clad Stormtroopers returned before he felt he had recovered enough, because otherwise he wasn't sure he could hold himself back.

Until then, he crawled over to recover his pillow, before sitting once again with his back to the wall, staring at the door. Silently brooding.

The sun was setting gradually over a bustling forest settlement, darkness slowly fighting back the light. Shopkeepers had begun to close their doors, their patrons trotting merrily home down the simple, dirt roads of the humble village. Soon the sun would be gone as well, completing its daily journey and vanishing behind the lush trees that encompassed the town. What little light that remained had stained the skies red-orange, casting a golden glow over the land.

In his office atop the tallest building in the Village Hidden in the Leaves, the Third Hokage sat in silence, reviewing mission reports and puffing thoughtfully on a long, wooden pipe. An elderly man, though by no means decrepit, Hiruzen Sarutobi could already feel fatigue creeping over him; creeping, as the night does over the day. He turned to gaze out the window, barely catching sight of the sun before it plunged behind the tree line.

“There has been another rumor of Akatsuki sightings in the Land of Fire,” a quiet, raspy voice broke the tranquil silence. “The feudal lord is become increasingly nervous.” The voice’s source stepped out of the shadows and into view; an elderly veteran leaning heavily on a thick walking stick. The cane thunked loudly against the wooden floor as he slowly crossed the threshold.

“Indeed,” Sarutobi nodded. “Your intel is never wrong, Lord Danzo.”

“I try my best, Hiruzen. Heaven knows my Root has a much higher success rate than your underlings.” The crippled elder remained motionless in the doorway, staring across the room at his leader.

The Hokage ignored the jab. “We must send an ANBU squad to the border. These rumors should be verified before we jump to any conclusions.” He lowered the pipe from his lips, resting it gently on his desk. “I have just the squad in mind.”

Danzo scoffed. “What we need is swift military force. I will send my best agents at once. ”

“We cannot be too hasty, Lord Danzo.” Sarutobi smiled as the gentle clip-clop of sole on tile was heard from outside his window, “Regardless, it seems my choice has already been alerted.”

“You called, Lord Third?”

A tall, lean figure appeared in the window, stepping through the opening effortlessly. He wore the standard ANBU uniform: black ninja sandals and pants on his lower half, with a gray flak jacket and sleeveless black undershirt covering his torso. Long black gloves reached from mid-bicep to his fingertips, with steel forearm guards fitted over them. On his face he wore a porcelain mask, painted red-and-white to resemble a dog. A tuft of gray hair sprang from the top of his head, easily visible behind his mask.

“Yes. Please arouse the rest of your squad and head for the Land of Grass immediately. You are to inquire about any sightings of ninja wearing red and black cloaks. Any information should be sent immediately by messenger hawk. That is all.”

The newcomer nodded, darting quickly out the window, into the night.

“A foolish choice, Hiruzen. What will he do if he meets an old friend?” Danzo inquired, stepping forward to glance out the open window.

“I have faith in his judgment.” Sarutobi said with a smile, picking up his pipe.

Akutsuki… the shinobi mused, springing from rooftop to rooftop. I had better move fast. He crossed the village quickly, remaining hidden from any citizens who had yet to return home. He had been away from the Hokage residence for no longer than 10 minutes before he finally touched down at the ANBU Barracks.

“Anyway, that’s the long and short of it.” The masked ninja said, addressing his squad-mates.

“We’re leaving now?” A youthful-looking ninja whined, rubbing his feet. “But I just got off patrol duty!”

“Hokage’s orders.” His lavender-haired kunoichi partner snapped, buckling her flak jacket. “Anyway, get your ass in gear. Even without Lord Hokage’s edict, Captain Hatake still gave you an order.”

The silver haired shinobi smirked behind his mask. “Uh…yeah. What she said.”

So, how about Standard 3 round fight, 72 hour windows between posts, to start once TBG and Caira have met and challenged Magus? We just need a judge. Since TBG will want to give Magus a chance to surrender at first. He should get first post in the fight.
