For what felt like ages, Shang Tsung dropped through the darkness. Perhaps more unnerving than the complete blackness was the lack of sound of noise, as even the air made no noise as it whipped passed him.

When he gave up wondering when he’d stop falling, Shang suddenly stopped.

The sorcerer blinked a few times as the environment around him took shape. Gone were the metal and concrete walls of the lab. Gone were the flickering lights and the stench of stale water and bloated corpses. In their place, the sorcerer was surrounding by a plain landscape colored in blacks and grays. The only thing that broke up the drab terrain was the occasional white line that seemed almost painted onto the black surface.

“What is this?” He mumbled, listening as his voice echoed around him as a body dropped down next to him.

Atelos let out a grunt as he rose to a vertical position and did the same quick scan of their surroundings that Shang had done. “Where are we now, Sorcerer?”

The sorcerer shook his head. “I’m not sure, but I don’t think we’re in the Pale Moors or Silent Hill for that matter.”

“Is this where Omni lives? This doesn’t seem like a realm fit for some sort of god.”

“This is probably a transitional area,” Shang mused as he pointed down at one of the white lines. “Surely these lines have to lead somewhere.”

Atelos reached for a shield that wasn’t there, and the expression on his face was like a father coming home to find his own flesh and blood unaccounted for. Seeing the look, Shang tried to quickly divert the other man’s attention.

“Let’s get a move on.” The sorcerer said as he pattered his associate on the back and started to follow one of the white lines.

It was a pleasant morning in Omniville. The people were happy and carefree. That is, until they stumbled across the words written in bold red across the entire front of the Town Hall.

"WE ARE THE MAFIA! WE ARE HERE AND WE WILL NOT REST UNTIL WE ARE DOMINANT! YOU WILL ALL DIE, UNLESS YOU CAN KILL US FIRST! GOOD LUCK!"

Murmurs spread through the crowd gathered before the Town Hall. Who could these mysterious Mafia Members be?

Basic plot: A mysterious group of "Bandits" have been reported sacking and raiding various forts and fortresses inside the Koopa KIngdom. Rumor has it that King Bowser is looking for anyone to rid him of this nuisance while he deals with.. more pressing matters (Darkseid if that is still a thing. will replace it with something else if it isn't. In accordance with the current topic in the chatbox, I have made this thread to collect any and all potential participants should we create an Omniverse Terraria server/world in honor of 1.3's release.

So a year is a long time away, but I thought I'd get some final input before I lock up the Dante Verse.

As it stands, I'd like to see another summer Syntex Dante's Abyss event, pending there's some interest.

What form that takes, ultimately, is something I'm not sure about and wouldn't be for a long time. I was pretty impressed by the turnout this year and the retention rate. Honestly, I was really impressed and totally blown away by the activity and emotional investment.

If there is a sequel, I imagine that the rewards would be scaled back, because I wouldn't want people to feel too obligated to participate in an event for fear that failing to do so would cause them to drop too far down the metaphorical (well I guess it's legit now with that recent path) ladder of ranking (perhaps with just one or two artefact prizes, depending on whether or not the market grows any over the coming year).

So, yea, if there's interest next April/May, I'd like to see another one of these happen. As I said, I don't know what form it would take, and I can guarantee that I wouldn't be the host if people want the 'Battle Royale'-style Dante's Abyss (that's what I'll call this years 'version') to return. While I personally love that format for its blend of luck, heart, and determination, I think hosting it twice wouldn't be fair (a different host... or two hosts even, would provide a fresh spin and reset the mystique).

I'd be more interesting in doing something like a moral traditional tournament that captures some elements of variability and luck... or some sort of 'Gang wars' style that capitalizes on the various player factions. Plus, if it's the Battle Royale version, I wouldn't mind handing over Karl Jak and giving it a go myself =P

So yea... feel free to express any interest you have an throw any concepts you'd be curious to see next year. I'll be locking up these forums in a week or two.

Demetri sat facing the bar, waiting with a full beer in his hand and his elbow on the counter as a bearded man approached him from behind. The man sat down next to him and ordered a beer before glancing over to Demetri. Even though he was barely in his peripheral, Demetri could see the scars on the man's face and the sword that hung on his belt. He was a a bit chubby, most likely from beer, and also had tattoos all over his limbs. Clearly some low cutthroat that got his coin off robbery and brute force. He gave off a sense of arrogance and pride next to him. Perhaps the man had heard rumors of him and wanted to see if they were true. Demetri took a small sip of his beer before setting it to the side. He didn't like to drink, and the beer was mostly so that the bartender wouldn't complain and pester him.

"So... are you him?" The cutthroat whispered towards Demetri in a hushed tone.

"I don't know what you are referring to, but if you want something... out with it..." Demetri replied casually yet sternly, as he didn't have time for introductions. He hated meetings at the bar, it was always too noisy and you can hardly hear what people were saying. What use is all the information here when one can't hear any of it?

In the corner of the room a few drunkards began throwing punches at one another.The cutthroat turned towards them before returning his gaze to Demetri.

"I'm after a man named Grom, and it is said that he is the strongest man in town, but I need to be able to kill him. I was wondering if you could-"

"There's a small trinket that he wears, if you haven't noticed. Before he slumbers, he keeps it by his bed. Hire a small thief to take it, and give it to you. Then, soak it using the dew from the leaves leaves of the Frailsong Flower. Then all you need to do is slip it back by his bed and the next night he will sleep for the last time... Now, I have wasted enough time here, so I shall be on my way."

With that, Demetri stood up, the cutthroat staring in shock with his mouth agape at how quickly and easy his bounty just became.

"You sneaky devil..."

Demetri smirked a bit as he left the the bar, cutthroat, beer, and all. he spent the remainder of the night in the alleyways, listening in on those planning future evil deeds, smiling at all of their mistakes, missed guard post times, many of them were bound to back out or fail. When the moon was high in the sky, Demetri headed to that night's sweet spot. No guards for at least three blocks, a perfect hole in the system. He quickly moved an fiddled with a lock on a closed shop. He popped it open and headed inside, taking what he reasonably could before heading back out and securing the lock again. As he turned the corner, he saw a guard.

"Evening, officer..." Demetri said with a grin.

"...Evening... citizen..." The guard held a suspicious look as he spoke, but Demetri knew that he couldn't be arrested, there were no witnesses and no proof that anyone had broken into the shop, just missing items that will be overlooked the next day. He arrived as his home, secured his loot, and headed to bed. The beauty of being so knowledgeable in this poor godforsaken town. Demetri chuckled slightly before sleep overtook him.

So, whether by my vast interest in attribute graphs or sheer boredom, I've been toying with these stat charts. If there is enough interest, I'll be willing to make them for any player who desires one. They may even replace the listed stats in Rosters if they're a big enough hit I hope.

I need help from you guys though. Which graph do you prefer from these selections? I can also make adjustments if suggested. However, once a type is decided upon, that will become the uniform graph everyone uses.

As a bonus, I've also formatted a graph displaying the averaged numerical stats. I've used myself as an example. What this means is I've added together the combined stats of all my forms, then divided by the amount of forms. So this graph displays Luffy's average stats when taking into account all of his capabilities. For example, Luffy's averaged ATK is 7.4.

As you can tell below, I've added in PWR (Powers), PRO (Proficiencies), and MOV (Moves/Super Moves). How I factored these three is simple: divide the character's total OM amount for each of the three categories and divide by 1,000 to calculate numbers that coincide on par with Stats. i.e. Luffy's current OM total spent on Moves & Super Moves equates to 3700, which is reduced to 3.7.

I think this would be a fun way of comparing everyone's capabilities with a little flavor. Also, I realize the heavy trafficking of purchases and updates that would frequently alter a player's resulting chart. I do not mind recurrently updating player graphs.
