  Epilogue: The Return
Posted by: Caira Ayryn - 05-06-2016, 02:45 AM - Forum: The Endless Dunes - Replies (4)

The smothering taste of already acrid air was a sudden perceptible haze that clouded her eyesight, then the light of the Oververse had gone, and she was left in sand. She could’ve kicked it, but her mind was still thrilling from the adventure. Almost immediately, she pulled out her books, and the unfinished diary of a man she had once known, and began to write in it on the steps where she had been delivered. Not far off, was Karn, the little lizard was sitting there, and had lizards faces had much room for mobility, his jaw would have been brushing against the ground.

Caira waved but said nothing, her brow lay heavy on her face, with a visible fret. She was forgetting something, it nagged at the back of her mind, but only for a moment, and then she was her usual self, well, one could say “usual” in these circumstances, however, Omni had delivered the greatest truth to her, she had a hard time wrapping her mind around who she was supposed to be. Clutter accumulated along with tides of worry and doubt. The girl snagged her hoverboard and seemed ready to be off from this place, she tossed her chin over her shoulder, and with her movement, a tuft of hair blew with the sandy breeze.

Above her, high in the sky were the steps she had ascended and taken to Omni. Now, she was at the bottom, but the steps did not seem so high. Karn wiggled his tail, and when he felt as though Caira would accept the greeting, he muttered, “H-hello.”

It didn’t take the freshly emboldened wizard to read how he was feeling, she spoke in a quirky and playful manner, apart from the serious one, which she seemingly had detached from in some respects, “Surprised to see me, are you?”

...

On her journey back with the lizard in hand, well, in tow behind her on the hover board, Caira groaned at the heat. “Isn’t there any way to do this a little faster?”

The lizard, surprisingly, offered some helpful advice. “Yes, indeed there is. If you’re willing to summon a mount, we could get there much quicker. Where I’m from,” the crystal tied around it’s head glowed blue as he spoke, “We had trains. It made travel in places like this much easier. Deserts are terrible places. Almost fitting I ended up trapped in one for years.”

Caira nodded absentmindedly and thought about the lizard’s fear of the great and powerful Omni, it had prevented him from wanting to come with her to the void. But Caira had suspected something different, something she could not place. Perhaps because the creature was mortal, and had heard stories of the void, and those people who not only did not return, but did not remain sane. She wondered what the lizard had to lose, considering his current position out here on the edge, but the thing was, he had survived this long which gave Caira the keen notion that he had a reason to live for. Caira considered this in her own limited way, but thought being turned into a lizard for years and years was a pretty bad fate, but apparently to the lizard, there were worse things.

Omni could have transformed the lizard back to normal, as he had restored her memories, but Caira had it fixed in her mind that her solutions were her own. And well, when she had asked the lizard about it, he seemed hesitant that the almighty-being even notice the lizard’s existence. Caira was forced to take the lizard’s word for it, and she was held to her promise to take him to Dalaran. It was her destination anyway, so it wasn’t necessarily out of her way. Her return seemed faster than when she had traveled all this way with Merik, well, until Merik had backstabbed and cursed her to rot in a casket. That kind of thing didn’t sit well with the still-noble prime. Still, Caira supposed it took less time, because time was harder to keep track of, with all these thoughts whirling around in her head.

Omni. She had met him. He was a fine chap, had a playful spirit that gave her the impression he had the mind of a child and the heart of, well... Perhaps it was that contradiction that made him so very undefinable. Not that that was a bad thing, not in the slightest, but she had learned things that were meant to be the answers, of the questions she had asked herself all of her life. Who were her parents, why was she here? Silly, ponderous thoughts now, which seemed so small on the new scale of things.

The conclusion drawn from her own mind was almost overwhelming, because the next question that perhaps even Omni couldn’t answer, and it was perhaps the most important of them all.

Where would she go from there?

Hello friend people of the Omniverse! This Akame speaking- well, actually this comes from the person behind the screen today. Most of you know me as Akame, or Amber, or Dawn, but my real name is Nathaniel Greene Arvin the 3rd. As you all know or most of you, Im seeking to undergo SRS, or Sex Reassignment Surgery. The sad fact is, i dont have the money to pay for the surgery alone so Im asking that the good souls of the Omniverse and my friends pitch in if you want to. Ill be setting up a fundraiser on a site some time this weekend. Anything as meager as dollar will help me. If by change you do want to help, go ahead and post here and let me know please. Thank you ^~^

Please donate rightchaherah- https://gofundme.com/254n3dek if you wanna help meh. I appreciate all your guys help.

Note: It says 35k is my goal, but that was mandatory. I'm not looking for 35,000$ I just needed a high enough scale so it wouldn't cap. I'm not familiar with fundraiser stuff like this, so sorry if anything is all doofed up.

  Asa "Ace" Gibson
Posted by: Ace - 05-04-2016, 10:13 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (5)

Character Name: Asa "Ace" Gibson
Character Source: Original
Character History:
Ace was known for being the nerdiest, geekiest kid in most every social group he was in, even when amidst other supernerds or ultrageeks. His love for fantasy was almost an obsession, but his need to rationalize details made him the type to debate with other nerds and geeks, adding calculations based on cannon facts and comparing power between two entities that would never have met in Cannon.

To take his addiction ot the next level, he took lessons in Qigong ever since he knew what it was, instead of playing school sports. He later complimented Qigong with Kendo. On the side, he would learn basic skills from other martial arts from the Internet, to supplement his two primary skills.

Ace's discipline in Qigong would earn him a trip to Japan, where he would compete with other students. After reaching the finals, Ace quit when it seemed as if he would win. When asked why, he stated he did not want the reward, a trophy and large check. In his own words, he answered simply "I just wanted to see if I could do it."

He stayed in Japan, learning the language and indulging in the culture in general. He did not stay in the larger cities, preferring instead locations similar to those in his favorite anime. During his stay in Japan, he did many things, but his most notorious is the number of competitions he entered, won and then rejected the prize. Ace worked as a translator to maintain his lifestyle.

His competition in both hand to hand combat and in Kendo called to him an infamy he both enjoyed and regretted. It was fun to be the "powerful fighter" like the games and anime, with everyone knowing his name. However, there were a few downsides, such as a lack of privacy, that soured the whole ordeal. An upside though, came with an invitation from a swordsmith.

This swordsmith was not well known, but those who did know his forge knew that the smith's works were nothing less than art. In respect for the young martial artist, the smith forged Ace a sword, as one would find fit for a Feudal Samurai. Ace did not come out clean from the experience, having to aid in the forging process by preforming a bulk of the grunt work. He was told to name the sword upon completion. Ace told the old man he'd have to sleep on it - wait till the right name came to him. The smith respected the young swordsman.

Before the name came, however, Ace would find himself lost to the mundane world, entering instead the Omniverse, where his adventures could truly reach the level of fantasy he had desired for so long. He had with him only that sword, nameless it remained, and his fists - and a few helpful words from an ominous Omni.

Physical Description:
Ace's history of martial training has earned him a fit body, complete with a slight muscular lining. His six foot, three inch height keeps him just above average and lends to his martial prowess.

His brown hair is shaved on the sides and back with a crown of hair long enough to tie back in a ponytail or spike/comb up into a brilliant mowhawk, depending on how he feels that day. Sometimes it will just remain a mess, haphazardly brushed to one side. Ace's blue eyes are not the brilliant gems of animation. They are murky, arguably deep with flecks of gray near the pupil.

As far as gear goes, he is never seen without his sword, which he carries in hand. Ace does not wear armor or padding, nor does he wear overly baggy clothing. Short sleeves or none at all are his thing - with a particular love for vests. Pants wise, he prefers denim jeans, U-crotch, relaxed fit. Comfort for every kick.

Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 2
SPD: 2
TEC: 3

Starting Proficiencies:
1000 - Melee

Starting Powers:
1600 - Insight

Starting Moves:
300 - Iron Fist:
A move "borrowed" from the Marvel Universe, it involves charging the hand with a large amount of the user's own Chi and discharging it in the form of a strike. Specifically, Ace focuses his chi into his left hand and then punches. The nearly explosive force has very little to no range beyond point of contact, but the contained explosion is very intense, capable of turning brick to dust or burrowing a hole straight through a tree. Against another prime, the damage could potentially break bones if the defense is weak, or at the very least knock back a foe.

The Iron Fist technique is not used with the primary hand, as it causes great fatigue of the entire arm post use. It takes three seconds to charge, where the arm is flexed and held away from the body. Ace can continue fighting with other portions of his body, but if his left arm is struck, it can cause an early discharge, causing the attack to fail. Due to the drain on his Chi, Ace often uses this move sparingly, or risk losing his left arm for the entirety of the battle.

As Chi flows down the arm and into the fist, it becomes externally visible, as an energy appearing similar to "flowing" electricity, ranging from deep red nearer the fist to an orange-yellow as the energy arcs outwards. This is Ace's aura manifested physically due to the heavy concentration of Chi, and does not add any "electrical" effects.

600 - Nameless Asuachi
Ace's Katana possesses a Torri Sori (Middle curve) and a wide-straight hamon (blade pattern) making it relatively common in appearance. The guard is a black rectangle and the handle is wrapped in black wire. The sheath is little more than cloth wrapped tightly around the blade, held in place by three strings tied with obvious care. The overall length of 5'4", with a blade dominating four feet of its length. Despite the extended length of the handle, Ace only wields it with one hand, allowing the other to be used for brawling-style combat (or even the Iron Fist move.)

Offensively, Ace strikes with broad swings. These broad, powerful motions are capable of slashing across a target's front from shoulder to hip. Against a weak opponent, the damage could be immense, but against a tougher hide, it may take several clean strikes for a wound to become deep enough to end the fight. Because of the broad motions used in his one-handed technique, tight spaces or very close quarters can be difficult to deal with in terms of swordplay. Luckily the broad strokes also help keep opponents at a distance.

Defensively, Ace is proficient with using the long blade's flat sides or back edge to stop, deflect or simply redirect attacks moving slow enough to visibly see. His level of mastery does not allow him to deflect arrows, but another melee weapon is fair game, as is a slow projectile, such as thrown axe.

Which Coruscant Tier is the Endless Dunes Gate
Posted by: Carmelita - 05-04-2016, 05:47 PM - Forum: Help Desk - Replies (2)

The question is in the title, but to clarify, both the portal to the Nexus and the portal to the Vasty Deeps are on Tier One. I was wondering if the Endless Dunes Gate was on a lower tier, providing a backdoor into the city, or whether the lower tiers only outside access was through Tier One.

So I been having problems trying to decide my alt character. I have so many ideas and here they are. ><

OC:

Donovan Sparks AKA: "The Night Runner" -

Quote:Que VHS static, New Retro Wave music, and epic trailer voice
The year is 2011 in San Diego, California; The city has become the most criminal out of all the major cities in the USA. It fell into chaos after the year 1987 when a terrorist biological attack devastated the city in terror. Many riots broke out in the city due to the attack, panicking people to loot stores for survival. Police couldn't help die down all the madness in the streets. The state's government did call in the military but that still didn't help anything and made things get out of hand too much due to executing people in riots and the infected. This made the country's government go in debt and left the city in it's terrible state. Now it has been a decade and the city has been split up into two parts, the civil part is within the Downtown which has a local government control and justice system called the SPA (Serve, Protect, and Acknowledge) they started developing when the military moved out of the city and maintain control of the society within the district even having operations to make places more civil outside the district. The justice system in some parts is corrupted from the politics and is order to do some dark classified operations outside of the maintained district. The other part is the uncivilized and not in control by anyone or government but mainly consists the criminal, the poor and infected. Locals call this district "The Land with no Future." but the Justice department calls it the "Grey Zone". A man who is 25 named Donovan Sparks, grew up in the city during the terrible times and lived with a family in the downtown area who was involved with the city's politics but was killed from the justice forces ordered by a corrupted individual. Donovan was the only one left alive and mistakenly not killed from the forces that was sent to kill him too. He survived from the incident and lived in grief for years losing his perfect life and the only family he had. The days he lived without his family was in the Grey Zone and trained himself to do the right and destroy the evil and corruption of life. Through his early adult years, he scavenged for weapons and etc to build himself up to be the true hero of the city. He also obtain a black Camaro IROC-Z28 and customized it to make it fast and a well built vehicle for action which is his signature car. Now he drives through the streets of the ghetto in the Gray Zone and helps the ones in need and kills off the evil that threatens anything. Some people call him a hero and others call him a criminal because of the actions he does but many call him "The Night Runner" since he mainly drives through the night and gets away from the SPA or other enemies that chase him.

  [S] Dave: Strife Party
Posted by: Dave Strider - 05-04-2016, 02:34 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (9)

Dave gave a calm stare towards the large molded mountain, smoke bursting from its sides, along with the steady flow of lava. It reminded him so much of his land, as well as the friends that were still not here, It was like the meteor all over again. However, he could also feel a rising tension around him, the same he felt when he had to leave the mayor's side. Once he felt that rise in tension he knew he was no longer in the Alpha timeline. Something had changed. Maybe things weren't all the same here, but he knew that where he was now, that he was in more danger than ever. But then again, maybe he was just overthinking this and it was only--

A soft, plush object fell by Dave's feet. He didn't even need to look down as he reached out to the side and swung over it with his sword in a sweeping motion and jumping back, feeling the sword split the obnoxious puppet's ass clean in half. He was definitely in a doomed timeline. His bro was no doubt here, and that only meant that he was about to receive the ass kicking of his life. But LOHAC would freeze over before he would go down without a fight.

The Knight of Time gritted his teeth, clutching Caledscratch in both hands as he glanced left and right behind his shades, waiting for the movement that brought back horrid childhood memories. Countless strifes. Countless beatings from shitty katanas. In the distance, he could hear others, but they weren't a part of his focus, however, it would be better if he could hide among others. Quickly, he dashed across the molten surface of the Ashen Steppes, stopping right before the group.

"Anyone seen a douche in anime glasses holding a creepy ass puppet?"

Dave didn't really need an answer. He could already feel that his bro was close. Hopefully that slight diss would bring him out of hiding.
