Starting Moves-
Broadsword (300 OM)-
A large double-edged sword that's roughly about forty-five inches in range and three inches wide to the base. The sword has the ability to be used one or two handed, purely built for short ranged combat. The blade is made from a martial known as promethium which gives it the ability to absorb large amounts of energy and is stronger than titanium. The broadsword ranges its use from fast to slow attacks allowing for moderate damage to targets.


Dual Glock 22’s (300 OM)-
Two small sidearm pistols that are holstered upon both sides of Slade’s hips. Fast fire rate of one bullet per second, lightweight, and built for easy use both pistols are perfect for short to mid-range (20 to 50 meters). Each clip of ammo is infused with promethium metal for better precision and the ability to penetrate through thick armor dealing light damage. Both side arms can hold at least 15 rounds per clip. It takes about two seconds for Slade to pull both pistols from their holsters and at least a second to fire. This move can be used with other moves but one pistol has to be holstered, for example, Slade can hold both his broadsword and one of his pistols.

There were many things in the world that some people might find unamusing. For example, if someone had lost a tooth due to a punch in the face, they might have found that situation such. Another situation some might not think of as amusing was when someone was beaten by someone who was lesser than them in some way in the Omniverse. Still another situation was that they had lost access to their house, and private property, and possessions. Of course, this was not why Warren was unamused. No, the reason he was unamused was that someone he disliked....no, loathed the existence of had gotten a job with Nippur. Given the amount of time he had spent attempting to build himself a house in the Endless Dunes, Warren wasn't happy to say the least. Right now he wanted a sniper rifle that he could shoot from another verse, namely the Nexus. Of course Omnilium could not make something like that, as he had been trying to make it for the better part of the day. 

This left him but one option to handle the situation. Coping with it, to be exact. Though how one coped, when one had basically been thrown out of their home, and stripped of everything, for the 2nd time. The situation was maddening,  and he had grown increasingly more and more frustrated. Perhaps he had been going about dealing with it wrong. Sure he had gotten the Empire to deal with Hecate, but now Yandere was untouchable, for now, anyway. Really, there had to be some way he could deal with all of his problems. As he was hit by the pure platinum color of the Nexus, Warren cursed the fact he had been underprepared. About a minute or so later a set of sunglasses now covered his eyes, blocking the white of the Nexus from being blinded. 

Unlike what he had done before, Warren was about to begin a recruiting campaign. There had to be some Primes that he could convince to join his side. The more he had on Team Zimmer, the better the chances of his survival would be. Given some of his plans were ambitious, the Quarterback knew he needed to find a way to recover his full power. Such was not going to be easy, mind you, and he still had not found the person who had impersonated him yet. Hopefully someone would show up in the Nexus, because he was honestly bored, as he made his way from the gate of Coruscant towards where the Fountain was. 

If he was fortunate, perhaps a real power house might show up in the Omniverse. Of course, things rarely went the way Warren wanted them to in the Omniverse. At least Jason hadn't turned out to be a psycho like Hecate had been, and thankfully showed no signs of Multiple Personality Disorder, or Disassociative Identity Disorder. Either one of those was a problem Warren frankly didn't want to put up with. Of course, no one could really blame him for not wanting to put up with them. Multiple Personality Disorder had led to the problem that he had now, because of the fact Hecate had it. Yet, she was not his true problem. 

No, his true problem was not her, or Yandere. It was Omni himself. Omni needed to be more selective as to who he abducted and brought into the Omniverse. If he were, Warren wouldn't have this problem. Logically, the right thing to do would be to ask him to be more selective about such individuals. The logical side of his brain was eclipsed by another side of him, that Warren often ignored in favor of planning, and complex schemes. This side wanted to take the Chaotic Quarterspear Staff, and stick it in Omni where the sun didn't shine, for his current situation. A deep breath was taken by Warren, and he banished those thoughts. It was wrong to do that, and he was not able to do that yet anyway. Today was a day he was going to look towards the future by recruiting aid for himself, not dwell on the past, and what had been.

I know that the Mickey-Gilgamesh matchup was one that entertained a lot of people, given the history of the characters and the fact that Wyatt and Jacob are both just such jolly people.

Are there any other matchups *you* would like to see as the tournament progresses?  Whether because of the characters involved or the writers involved?

During the contest, the preshow facility will remain open to all the watching public and those present, as well as triumphant primes waiting for the remaining match ups to conclude.

Anyone may post in this thread, but I'm not giving out free (Bonus/'Participation') OM for this thread unless you are a participant writing your character here between rounds (because your fight finished early and you wanna stay sharp or whatever).  So if extra OM was going to be your incentive to write in here, please don't.  Go write an actual collab story in another verse. Spectator thread is a privilege, not a right, and I'll close this if I feel like it's serving no genuine storytelling purpose.

That said, all areas of the Preshow outlined in the original Preshow thread are still present.

Like everyone else, Handsome Jack and Dane Regan materialized on the slightly elevated stone platform.  The two partners gave each other a once over before turning their eyes to the pair of blips that flashed across from them.
 
Pepsi-man and Aero shared a similar gaze.  Having just met a few hours prior, they had no need to exchange pleasantries.  The pair stood and waited for the metaphorical opening gong to give them to go ahead to hydrate the living shit out of their adversaries.
 
“Isn’t there a bell?” Handsome Jack mumbled beneath his breath.

“Hey, Karl,” one of the employees stationed at a console lifted his head and flagged over the company CEO.
 
“What’s the matter?”  The man inquired as he casually made his way down the row of monitoring station.
 
“Are you sure that you calibrated Platform 21?  There’s some… weird stuff going on with the field.”
 
Karl Jak scowled as he looked up at the decorative ‘#21’ sign that hung over the station.  Unlike the others, that sign had been hastily secured with bolts, rather than properly seated and polished.  “Oh, yea, that’s right,” the man said with a smile as he snapped his fingers.  “Totally forgot.  I wasn’t paying attention when Fabio slipped his registration in at the last moment.  Let me double-check the settings.”
 
The worker slid over to allow the mastermind of the verse to glance down at the console.  A quick succession of taps brought up a series of holographic images that Karl started to swivel and twist around with gentle, precision movements of his hands and individual fingers.  “See?”  Karl replied as the whole projection flashed green before fading away.  “Now they’re safe and snug like all the others.”
 
“Yea, but…” the worker pointed to a side screen on the console.  “Is there supposed to be five people in there?”
 
Karl, tilting his head to look at the console, frowned as he recognized the readings.

Overhead, the four primes heard the crackle of Karl Jak’s automated voice message.  In the drone of the announcer-slash-producers voice, they failed to hear the strange, nearly melodic noise in the background.
 
“All right, you goofy fucks!”  Aero declared with a smile as he smacked his palms together and grinned.  “Me and this soda-looking mother fucker are going to give you diabeetus… and then kick you in the nuts.”
 
Pepsi-man stepped forward and produced a can of liquid refreshment from nowhere in particular.  “Prepare your taste buds for refr—” Mid-sentence, the mascot’s chest exploded outward, spraying warm, carbonated Pepsi far enough to splash Dane and Handsome Jack in their faces.
 
While Dane found himself pivoting backwards to wipe the fizzy deliciousness from his eyeballs, Handsome Jack’s second face spared him the full burst of carbonated fury.
 
Standing just two feet from Pepsi-man, Aero should have been able to react faster, but the last thing he had expected was to see his partner get insta-merc’d right next to him.  As the mascot crumbled to the ground, his body melted into a pool of warm soda.
 
Aero, shaking the confusion from his head, turned his wide eyes and found himself staring at the damp, heaving chest of someone who towered over him.  By the time the blue-haired man had lifted his eyes to share the gaze of the man in the hockey mask, a wet, leather-clad fist clapped around his head.  A trained warrior, Aero tried to counterattack, but he was pulled off his feet.
 
From the other side of the arena, Dane turned his slightly bloodshot eyes just in time to see and hear the splintering crack of Aero’s skull being shattered.  Without a second thought about it, Jason hurdled the corpse from the arena and clenched the handle of his machete.
 
Chh chh chh … ahh ahh ahh...
 
Handsome Jack turned to Dane and tapped him on the shoulder.  “Was this in the script?”  He asked once Dane had craned his head to meet his gaze.
 
“I, uhh, maybe?”  Dane said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Both men snapped their attention back to the now empty spot on the far side of the arena.
 
“The fu—“ Handsome Jack stopped mid-sentence when he saw that they were standing in someone’s shadow.

Posting goes: Dane -> Jack -> Jason -> Dane -> Jack -> Jason , although there may or may not be a Jason post.  Mr. Voorhees has all his movie powers, and is stronger, more durable, faster, and more technical than either of you, regardless of power ups (he has those too).  So please be aware that you're writing a fight that is mostly you getting your asses kicked.  Can't always be the super hero.

Please review Rules Pages [2] and [3] to review logistics for the fights and to figure out he fight order based on your thread title.  I ain't holding you hands, I do that enough with teenagers during the week (<3)

Fight Area Description: 

“Dante’s Abyss: Budokai” – Both teams are transported into an empty, Eastern-style tournament ground.  There is an elevated stone platform surrounded by a short brick barrier that would normally keep the crowd away from the central platform.  North of the platform is an ornate brick wall with some eastern-style monsters and an archway. The backdrop is also filled with mountains and pretty trees, but the limits of the fight zone terminate just beyond this archway and just beyond the brick audience barriers.  The fight itself takes place on this platform, for a lovely dose of 'up close and personal' (apologies to you range fanatics).  The barrier of the Fight Area is just a few inches beyond the brick wall and the entrance archway.
 
Stipulation:  Fighters will battle until both members of one team have been thrown to the ground outside the platform (writers may obviously not roleplay eliminating their foes as that will be saved for the end post)
 
 

From the preshow facility, Daxter let out a hoot and smacked a nearby stranger on the back as the live feed for Jak’s fight appeared on the monitor.  “That’s my boy!”  He shouted into the large orc’s face as he pointed to the screen.
 
A few yards away, Proto Man smiled and took a sip of water before turning his laser focus back to the feed featuring his best friend and worst enemy.  At least this particular drama could be settled early into this festival of senseless violence.
 
In the arena, Ash smiled warmly to her ally as she rested a hand on his shoulder.  “We’ve got this,” she said with that tiny, devious grin that made boy’s quiver.
 
“Y-yea!”  Jak stammered as Karl’s voice rained in over the speakers.
 
“Hello, one and all.  This is Round 1, where the stakes are pointless but everyone’s still going to freak the fuck out all the time.”
 
A gong sounded.  Ash let her hand fall from Jak’s shoulder to her waist.
 
“PG-13!”  Karl shouted over the PA system.  “I’m not paying Coruscant for those premium content filters!”

Zedd unconsciously puffed out his chest as he smashed his scepter into the piled surface.  Next to him, Violet bristled.  At this point, the pair could barely stomach one another, but in their defense, the other pairing also lacked the smiles and fist bumps that marked many partnerships.
 
“A clown?” Shantotto inquired as she looked up at her partner.
 
“I’m Pennywise.”  The voice was cheery and happy, but there was something in the man’s—creature’s?—eyes that caused the little Tarutaru to second-guess signing up for this tournament.  “The Dancing Clown.”  At that, the orange-haired clown started to hop from one foot to another as he smiled down at his little partner.
 
“Hello,” Karl Jak’s voice pulled the focus of the two ‘teams’ up to the skies above them.  “Welcome to Dante’s Abyss:  This Time… with Friends.”
 
“With tools.”  Zedd growled as he glared down at Violet.  The woman grabbed her own arm before she could stank the skinless braggart.
 
The gong sounded.
 
“Kill them,” Violet snapped as she took off toward their opponents, leaving Karl Jak no time for his remaining pleasantries.
 
“Only so I get to kill you myself at the end of this circus!”  Zedd shot back.
