So, as always, you all know that you can leave a request on my Sketchbook thread and what not and I might eventually get to it. However, I'd like to open this up so I can get a little money for doing the pixels (since they are pretty time consuming), and you guys have a less expensive and faster option if you want to buy some art from me.

Now, pixels are simple and small art (no bigger than 200x250), and come in two "flavors" as I like to say. "Still/simple" animated and "complex" animated. I'd prefer 8USD for a still or simple, and 16USD for a complex one.

Still is just that, unmoving, just a plain jane pixel art piece. Simple is anything that fits into two-four frames of animation, such as Finneas (alchemist), or the Two Ezzies. Complex would be anything that requires more than four frames, such as Demetri's (coin flip) which took several frames (and a lot of patience).

The Ashen Blade's private forum isn't working correctly, or we aren't using it right. I'm quite sure it's the former though. It seems the case is that only the members that make the threads can view them. Ex: I can only view threads I make, Renji can view threads he makes. Can we get some assistance please?  :yay:

Hey everyone! I am delighted to announce a very exciting thing that is sure to challenge you all--- THE FALL DRABBLE CONTEST!!!!!


What is a drabble, though? A drabble is a 100 word story, exactly 100 words. Did you get that? Exactly 100 words. No more, no less! Write a story for me that is exactly 100 words by the end of October, and I'll give you a reward. Interpret the theme however you like, but please stay within 100 words.

THE REWARDS ARE NOT OM. They will be Steam games within certain price ranges depending on if you win 1st, 2nd or 3rd.


THEME: Fall (from Halloween to the leaves changing color to ghosts and goblins etc. etc. It can even just be a story where the season is fall.). It can be based around your character or something entirely unrelated to the Omniverse.

TIME LIMIT: Until roughly November 1st.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be within the bounds of 100 words.
- Must be fall-related.

Yukki awoke slowly, groggy from being able to actually sleep comfortably for once. This quickly cleared as he worked his way down the stairs to the kitchen however, as years of training and experience had forced his body to become alert quickly and constantly. That combined with his enhanced senses that he mysteriously had once he reached this place, made it near impossible to hid from him, at least in close range.


He stopped abruptly when he reached the kitchen doorway. He saw Reuben and Scarlet sitting together at the kitchen table. Not only that, they seemed to be acting nice to each other. They were having a talking about Reuben’s previous accomplishments, all his assassinations, as calmly as one might talk about the weather outside, our their favorite colors.


They came to a stop as Yukki sat down at the table with them. “Good morning.” Reuben cast a glance at him.


“We have an idea for a job.” Yukki sat up. Reuben wasted no time as he continued on, now with Yukki’s attention. “Scarlet knows a guy that might be willing to let us start doing jobs for him. Not like our old stuff sadly, we’d have to start off with small stuff, but it’s a start.”


Yukki rested his chin in his hand. “Who’s this contact?” Scarlet started typing on her PDA, obviously pleased we were considering her idea.


“Nobody knows his real name. On the streets, he goes by Reaper.” Yukki laughed a little. “Reaper? Sounds oh so threatening.” Scarlet frowned and pointed back at the PDA. “He runs an underground group of radicals. He’s always looking for new people, and might consider letting us run a few things for him, and eventually move onto the bigger stuff that you two like so much.”


Yukki frowned a little. “How do we know we can trust this guy?”

Reuben responded. “We don’t. Just like we didn’t know we could trust James, or Madison, or even you for that matter. Scarlet says that if we don’t cross him, he’ll be good enough.”


That reminded Yukki of what he had seen earlier. “Speaking of which, when did you two become buddies?”

Reuben answered with a straight face. “We’re not.”

Yukki gave a slow nod. “Uh huh… Let’s go see this ‘Reaper’, shall we?” He got up and walked out the house before getting a response.

Though we will soon no longer be able to dance in September, we can still honour the achievements of those that impressed us with their funky writing. It's time for another edition of the Monthly Accolades!

For those of you who are unaware, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.

You have until October 6th to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. An exception to this is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.

If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters/threads, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.

Well, when that guy mentioned that I was in the Endless Dunes, he wasn't kidding. This place was like the Sahara... if the Sahara was the size of the Earth. Yes, I work with Egyptian Gods. Yes, my uncle leads the First Nome in Egypt. But never in my life have I ever seen this much sand. You'd think that with me being descended from Egyptian royalty, I'd totally be on board with this.

But I'm not. You don't know how much I'd like to be back home in Brooklyn House with all the recruits, eating pizza and teaching magic alongside my brother, Carter. Speaking of which, I wonder how he's doing? Hopefully he could handle himself out there. As long as he wasn't worrying about my sudden disappearance, that is. When I eventually return... somehow, he'll probably yell at me, tell me how hard it was running Brooklyn House by himself, order me to be more careful, then embrace me in an awkward sibling hug.

Right now, though, I was lost in a desert, having been brought here against my will... I didn't get all the details about how, since the guy who brought me here threatened me to help him with a heist. Yeah, no. I like having things I'm not supposed to have as much as the next guy, but you just don't take me from my world and order me to help you-- especially if we didn't know each other five seconds ago. Thank goodness I could still use my magic, although it felt like I was a fledgling magician again since Ha'Di'ing them almost made me pass out.

Don't ask me where they are now; they're probably dead. I don't know anyone who wasn't a God or a monster that could survive a point-blank explosion. Some of their supplies survived though, and they weren't going to be using it anytime soon, so I took it with me.

I wasn't sure how long I had been wandering, but eventually I came across one of the strangest things I've seen today: as I passed a sand dune, I saw a bunch of black buildings in the sand. I wasn't sure what to make of them until I realized that one of them was a pyramid. Black is supposed to be a good color in Egyptian lore, but something told me that whomever made these structures didn't have that interpretation in mind. Nevertheless, my curiosity led me to investigate the place.

That would eventually prove itself to be a very bad idea.

Coruscant Created the Underverse

That is correct! Many think Diablo made it, but he is merely a robot puppet that bows to the emperor. You want proof? I’ll give you proof!

See, long ago, Palpatine was one of the first primes in the Omniverse, around the time Diablo came to power. Coincidence? I think not! He built Diablo way back when. He did it so people would focus on the existence of pure even instead of his gay relationship with one Aragorn!

That’s right, they weren’t just friends, and he created Diablo to distract from that!

No one thinks it’s suspicious that there were so few people in the Omniverse back then? Palpatine wouldn’t let more people into the world because he knew that some of them would be smart and see through his ploy. Omni had to bring more Primes here just so one day someone will see through Palpatine’s plans and find out about his love affair.

I mean, it’s so obvious. Why do you think Palpatine and Aragorn are so obsessed with each other? They must have banged, but no one found out about it until now because of Diablo.

You want more proof? I got it!

What is it that Diablo wants more than anything? Power? Well, who else likes power? Palpatine!

That’s right! Diablo got that trait from the emperor himself!

And who was the first one to escape the underverse? A coruscant loyalist, that’s who!

Also, why do you think they call it the Underverse? Because if you spell it differently… Underwear… As in what Palpatine imagines Aragorn in! The fires of the underverse represents his burning passion for the king! It’s all connected!

People think I’m nuts, people think I’m crazy but they just don’t see the truth like I do, they don’t see my brilliance!

Some more connections, Diablo is famous for wearing Blanes plain white briefs, so does Palpatine! They both use the same deodorant when they want to! I know these things because I say so! Ain't it amazing how blind other people can be! I want to be in a threesome between these two, the emperor wants to as well, but he doesn’t want his gay secret to be out so he keeps his guards close so I can’t fuck him! He thinks I’m sexy! Aragorn too! They just don’t know it yet!

Was researching the Empire recently, and I heard they banned body pillows recently, is that because they don’t want me banging Palpatine? You see, it’s all connected!

Anyways, the underverse is a secret plot by the empire so Palpatine and Aragorn can meet and have their love making sessions. They make everyone think it’s inescapable, they make everyone think people get banished there all the time, but really it’s just their love nest. Aragorn goes down there, Palpatine takes off his Diablo costume and they get down right there on the underverse floor. I dare you to try to tell me I’m wrong! You can’t prove it can you!

In conclusion, the Underverse was created by the Empire. Thank you.

Suddenly, Hare was in the Omniverse.

A boy with tan skin, blue hair, blue eyes, a simple sleeveless white shirt, and red shorts just showed up in Ambrosia’s town square. Just appeared in a ball of Omnilium out of thin air. The boy looked around, the city was mostly bathed in the night, but street lamps lit the nearby buildings.

“Where am I?” He asked to no one in particular, just speaking out loud as he was known to do.

He saw a figure walking by in the night, very short fellow, shorter than Hare himself.

“Hey mister.”

The guy turned towards Hare and a nearby lamp illuminated his face as he got closer, which revealed the face of a really fat cat walking on two legs.

“How may I help you my boy?”

Hare screamed into the night sky, his bellow echoed through the entire town, waking up a number of sleeping inhabitants.

“Guuuuuuuuu!!!” He yelled at the same frequency, causing another dozen or so inhabitants to wake.

“It would be courteous to keep it down, some people are trying to sleep.” Said the fat cat in the deepest of british accents.

Hare fell to his hands and knees as he began to sob right there in the middle of the street, the cat started to look concerned.

“Are you okay? What’s wrong?”

“I should have known. I thought you changed, Guu. I thought you changed when you let them go. I was even sad when you left. But no!” He slammed his fists against the stone street. A sharp pain reverberated through his hands, but his anguish overpowered it easily. Through his tears, he face twisted into a scowl. “It was all just a trick to let my guard down! Just another long about way of messing with me.”

He shot his fists in the air again. “Curse you Guu!” He screamed before buckling down again and crying.

The cat moved in to lay a comforting paw on the boy, but he jumped back on his feet and moved a few feet away from the feline.

“No! I don’t trust you! I don’t trust anyone in Guu’s world! Stay away from me!”

He runs away, dashing down the street while screaming and crying, waking a number of other citizens on the way. He didn’t stop until he was well out of town, where he collapsed into a sobbing mess; face buried in the dirt that composed the hill near Ambrosia.

“I hate you, Guu!” He yelled in between sobs. “I hate you!”
