| November Monthly Accolades (Until December 7th) |

Hey folks. Let's do this.
For those of you who are unaware, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.
You have until December 7th to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. An exception to this is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.
If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters/threads, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.
The winners will become this month's "Community Stars". And what benefits does this bring? Here is an explanation, courtesy of Alex:
(07-26-2016, 11:34 AM)Alex Wrote: As part of being voted as a Community Star/User of the Month (I use the terms interchangeable mainly because Community Star is less formal-sounding than User of the Month), these members gain a color (you must select this in your User CP) and access to the Omni-World R&D forum. In the past this was my pseudo-private forum, but it's now a place for myself and others to discuss the Omniverse. This is also the meeting place/brainstorming area for Story Aides and Story Guides, so for all intents and purposes, winning an accolade lets you become a pseudo-Story Aide for the duration of your reign.
Forum access is for the month following a member's selection as a Community Star, and this is irregardless of which 'accolade' you were selected for.
And the categories are:
‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?
‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?
Most Helpful – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.
Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last month and a half OR have less than 8000 OM)
'Best' Story – What story did you find most riveting/entertaining? Dark Data is excluded from the running.
'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason). Please note who the 'owner' of said NPC is, just in case I am not familiar with them.
Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than last month's winner; the July-September winner was Blink)

You like having more people to play with, right? That was a rhetorical question, because having more people to write with is awesome. Do you also like OM? If the answer is 'yes', which OBVIOUSLY it is, then please vote for us on the following sites!
RPGfix (every 12 hours. If you register, your votes count as x2. Worth the couple of minutes to make an account if you're going to be voting every day)
Top RP Sites (Daily)
Forum Roleplay (Daily. Please also leave a rating/review/comment!)
Top Site List Planet (Daily.)
~*~*~*~ HOW 4 VOTE ~&~&~&~
Vote on all sites, then post here with "Vote 1". When you vote on all sites again, post "Vote 2". You are allowed to vote again 12 hours after your previous vote, and we're okay if that only affects RPGfix. However, you should be trying to vote on all sites, as the reset times vary.
Tl;dr: Vote for all the sites, put "1". Next day, do the same and put "2". If you're really hardcore, you can vote every 12 hours, but it's not necessary.
If we find out your votes aren't being counted (and yes, we take the times you voted into account) we will give you the benefit of the doubt the first time as a mistake. However, if it happens again, or if we think you're not bothering or simply haven't read this, we will remove your voting privileges and you will no longer be eligible for this monthly bonus.
At the end of the month, if you posted ...
5-10 times: You get 100 OM.
11-16 times: You get 200 OM.
17-22 times: You get 300 OM.
23-28 times: You get 400 OM.
29+ times: 500 OM, and a fistbump from me for being so damn diligent.
Addtionally, if we get over 370 votes on Top RP sites this month, everybody who voted, even once, gets a bonus 100 OM!
If you have an alternate character and wish to claim your reward on that account as opposed to your main one, please let us know in the topic before the month ends. If you don't, we'll assume you want the OM on the account you posted with.
Thanks for voting everyone! If you have time, please also leave a vote and review for us on Top RPG sites(once only).

Darkness mixed with the stench from the lower levels of Coruscant. Yet again, as loathsome as it was, Dr. Doom had found himself pacing through an alleyway. By this point, it was beginning to look like a pattern. Coruscant, the crown jewel of the so-called Empire as most call it. Doom almost laughed at such a thought. The Empire, from what he had gathered from Luci and her lover Jacket, was by all economic standpoints a superpower. A force to be reckoned with but Victor could see past its guise. It was damning. Palpatine's Empire, his perfect little regime, was in the midst of a cold war. They're failing, cracking from underneath from the pressure. The cracks could not be seen by the ignorant nor what passed as scholars here. They were blind or were to entrapped in the war machine to even care. Doctor Doom's eyes were not theirs' though, his analytical mind left no stone unturned.
There was first the issue of mass poverty. The Empire was too busy and didn't much care about such trivial things. Let the poor be damned was their most probable answer. To the faint of heart, it was a sickening thing. Those lost and bewildered by poverty, to Doom that was a sign of weakness. An error that would cost any nation a toll if there were to be any revolt. The Empire's second issue was the war front. Their policy of waiting out their enemies was sloppy, a poor tactic indeed. Do they not comprehend that their armies were far more advanced then enemies'? Were it be Doom commanding such a fighting force, he would have crushed weak and feudal army that amassed Camelot. The superiority of Doom would have been spread throughout out their streets and they would learn their most important lesson of all: Eventually, all will bow to the iron will of Doom.
"Such thoughts as those and many others remind dearly so of my fate, the fate of destiny of course. A destiny that even in the palm of my hands was snatched away. That accursed Richards and his not so Fantastic Four have caused me such torment and pain for too long. In this Omniverse I am free of their most bothersome acts of what they call justice. How long has it been? A lifetime of hate? A lifetime of seeking the destruction of Richards?"
An inferno raging in his eyes, Doom began pacing harder through the corridor-like alleyway. Fury built inside of him until he came to a stop. His gauntleted fingers clenched tight and his eyes narrowed as his head shifted upwards to what should have been the sky. Gutter water started to drip onto to his metal mask, only adding to his hateful rage. The sheer utterance of the Fantastic Four caused imaginary images to loom over him. They were taunting him, laughing at his failures of the past. No, never again will shadow of "The World's Greatest Heroes" be cast over him preventing his destiny, his ultimate plan.
"Richards!" Doom shouted the sound echoing across the city walls. "It was you all along! The one I hate the most! The one who ruined my plans and damaged my near perfect face! You somehow freed Odin from his manacles. Allowing him to take his power back and leaving me to be cast out. Blackened by my actions, have it be that I suffer an eternity!"
Dr. Doom's eyes widened.
"Koal and the others, what am I doing? They were mistaken, misguided by my actions, just as the heroes of Earth are. They do not understand that I have seen the future. A future that is riddled with despair, a future that only by my rule as there supreme leader will save it. Yes! They are my Tarrant card, my checkmate. Koal, Luci, and Jacket are the keys to creating a new Latveria. Bringing forth my unrelenting wrath upon those who are a footnote to my ever onward success. I will become a god among my fellow men I will rule, not even death nor Hell shall stop me."
Slowly, Victor calmed himself lowering his head and losing his tension. Like a wind-up toy, Doctor Doom went back to pacing exiting out of the alleyway and unto the streets. With a flail of his forest colored cloak. He was off, his mind set on a new plan, he needed to get back to Chipra's garage.

So, some of you might recall that Classpect thread I had a while back, the one with a bunch of fan-made quizzes. Well, here's the thing— Andrew Hussie, creator of Homestuck, just came up with this neat quiz that can tell you your True Sign (Gemini, Virgo, Gemga, etc.), your Lunar Sway (Prospit/Derse), and your Aspect (Space, Time, etc.)
I am all the hype.
Here is the quiz: http://hs.hiveswap.com/ezodiac/index.php
I might take it using of one of my character's personality traits later, but I'm just gonna do it for the heck of it right now! Feel free to do whatever, lol.
My results: GEM - Gold Sign + GA - Derse & Space. GEMGA.
Enjoy!

WE'RE DOING IT UP RIGHT THIS YEAR, SKRUBS
I personally, will be volunteering three elements to this year's yuletide shenanigans, but other people can feel free to add their own festive ideas to this whirling clusterclaus.
1. People posting in this thread should feel free to list their absolute favorite christmas songs. It can be a carol, j-pop, a goddamn hymn...whatever gets your noel rocks a poppin'. I'll bundle them up into a youtube playlist and post it here when it gets large enough.
2. People can volunteer here for Omniverse Secret Santa, which will be a tiny OOC event. Basically, people can sign up with one of their characters (Prime or Secondary) and I'll pair them with another denizen that they need to get a gift for. Once christmas-ish rolls around, I'll put up a thread and people who signed up can post a little vignette about their Prime unwrapping their secret santa gift. Doesn't need to be elaborate or huge; just fun. I'll keep a list of participants below.
- Tearen Wover
- Jade Harley
- Marcus Wright
- Desman Black
- Amaterasu
- The Emperor
- Erik Vrell
- Mordin Solus
- Ebonywood Hellscythe
- Gaston
3. I will volunteer to make Christmas themed avatars and signature banners for people who want them. Just...nothing crazy, please.
GET FUCKING MERRY YOU SHAMELESS NOG-QUAFFERS.

Deep within the confines of the fifth Tier, there was a mansion. The mansion of course had been once the property of a few dealers who had been selling things they shouldn't. Of course, since then the property had underwent a change in both ownership, and hygiene standards. The place had been cleaned up by Matthew completely. From the original looks of the place, no one could say that the place was the same as it had been. The once ruined and corroded mansion had been practically rebuilt by Matthew Mcginnis for himself. Every bit of damage that the place had, had been entirely repaired by the youngest of the Mcginnis Family. Deeper within the mansion was an underground base of sorts that was the actual place that belonged to the younger Mcginnis. Currently, he was down on the lower level of the place he now called home. "How did that go again?" asked Matthew, as he looked at the assortment of gadgets he had at his disposal. Dead Shot's Wrist Guns, or a replica thereof, a Replica of the Insider's Will Blaster, and replicas of many pieces of equipment worn and used by the heroes of his home. Some were even used by the villains of his world. Finally he decided he needed to practice a new skill for himself, one that would allow him to have something he could do with the replica of the blade wielded by Katana, her katana. Sighing, Matthew began to practice with the katana that he had at his disposal. Presently he was just practicing the basic moves with the sword. While he may be the rejected piece of DNA at the end of the gene pool, and just a piece of DNA no one but Amanda Waller had seen any use for, Matthew knew here in the Omniverse things were going to be different for him. For the one thing, with the use of Omnilium, one could create whatever they wanted.
Once he had gone up into the elevator, and made his way out to the "yard" if the patch of dirt that nothing grew on behind the mansion could be called a "yard" Matthew had set up several training dummies that he could practice with. All of his supplies had also been brought up by him because he knew he had a lot of skills he needed to learn if he was to become a hero here in the Omniverse. Among the others, he needed to become actually able to use the blade he carried just in case such should be needed by him for whatever reason. While it may seem paranoid, Matthew refused to let being under-equipped be a problem he had to deal with when it could mean life or death for him. Of course with the existence of other Primes any level of weakness could mean life or death. They were not the nicest, in the cases of some of them. It was one of the reasons that he mostly kept to himself for now.

| How d'you handle the Santa story? |

Alright, so... I'm going to assume that everyone here in the Omniverse knows the truth about Santa. If you don't for any reason, you should probably stop reading right now.
...
Still here? Okay. So, with Christmas approaching rapidly, I'm asking myself: why is the "Santa lie" propagated so far and wide, sometimes even outside of families whose religion doesn't include Christmas? Much more so than the Three Kings, the Easterbunny and similar characters Santa Clause is upheld in many households to the point where many parents disguise themselves or hire someone.
So yeah, I'd like to discuss with you guys, what's your experience with the Santa story? Some of you are already parents, how do you (plan to) handle it? Did anyone grow up always knowing the truth? I'm curious to hear it :yay:
Please keep it to a mature discussion.
