February Monthly Accolades (Until March 14th)
Posted by: The Vision - 03-03-2018, 01:42 PM - Forum: Bookkeeping Archive - Replies (33)

So a bit of explanation. Because I was so off my game for the January Accolades, posting in the middle of February, a lot of people were nominating February stuff. So I've made three things: an executive decision to skip that month, a mistake by not saying anything about it, and then this thread. Go ahead and renominate some of the things from January Monthly Accolades!

For those of you who are unaware, the Accolades involve nominating (and later, voting for) those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.

You have until March 14th to nominate your choices. After that, we will proceed to the voting phase where members will vote among the two individuals with the most nominations for each category. An exception to this is if someone manages to get 5+ more nominations than the runner-up, in which case that person becomes the winner by default.

If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters/threads, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.

The winners will become this month's "Community Stars". And what benefits does this bring? Here is an explanation, courtesy of Alex:

(07-26-2016, 11:34 AM)Alex Wrote: As part of being voted as a Community Star/User of the Month (I use the terms interchangeable mainly because Community Star is less formal-sounding than User of the Month), these members gain a color (you must select this in your User CP) and access to the Omni-World R&D forum.  In the past this was my pseudo-private forum, but it's now a place for myself and others to discuss the Omniverse.  This is also the meeting place/brainstorming area for Story Aides and Story Guides, so for all intents and purposes, winning an accolade lets you become a pseudo-Story Aide for the duration of your reign.

Forum access is for the month following a member's selection as a Community Star, and this is irregardless of which 'accolade' you were selected for.

And the categories are:

‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?

‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?

Most Helpful – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.

Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last month and a half OR have less than 8000 OM)

'Best' Story – What story did you find most riveting/entertaining? Dark Data is excluded from the running.

'Best' NPC – What non-player character (can be a site, personal, or story NPC) entertained you the most (for whatever reason). Please note who the 'owner' of said NPC is, just in case I am not familiar with them.

Most Romantic - Who had the best love story, in the spirit of Valentine's Day?

Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than the last winner; the December winner was King Ghidorah)

SECOND PRIME: Sunny the SkeleFlower Fusion
Posted by: Essent Rose Allison - 03-03-2018, 06:04 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (7)

If I had to create an account for Sunny before making this application then I'll get to it.

CHARACTER NAME: Sunny

CHARACTER SOURCE: Undertale AU - FUSIONTALE

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Sunny is the result of a fusion between Sans and Flowey. Near the end of a genocide run, Sans confronted Flowey with a suggestion: To combine their bodies and powers. With this plan, the two may have a chance at stopping Chara from destroying the timeline and world. Flowey reluctantly accepts and absorbs Sans' soul, creating Sunny the SkeleFlower Fusion. With the help of their timeline's Gaster, they create a new timeline where fusion is possible between two souls. Sunny is the oldest fusion, having to keep the other fusions in check and to keep Friska (fusion of Frisk and Chara) in their place.

Sunny was brought into the Omniverse just as they won their first fight against a Chara-controlled Frisk.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
They're about six feet tall.

STATS:
ATK: 1
DEF: 1
SPD: 4
TEC: 4

STARTING PROFICIENCIES:  [SPENT OM HERE (2200)]
Ranged (1000), Ranged Materialize (600), Remote Control (600)

STARTING POWERS:  [SPENT OM HERE (800)]
Master Acrobat (400), Basic Telekinesis (400)

STARTING MOVES: [SPENT OM HERE (1800)]

Quote:Botanokinesis - (600) (Ranged, Ranged Materialize, Remote Control) - Sunny is able to, after two seconds, create thorny vines that shoot up out of the ground towards their target. These vines travel at roughly the speed of a bullet and have a reach of about 10 meters before they stop and retreat back into the ground. Each vine is covered in hundreds of razor sharp thorns that, while not deadly on their own, are able to cause quite a bit of damage as a whole. This doesn't take too much energy or concentration for a single vine but, for the duration of a fight, it is possible to tire from over use.

Sunny may also choose to cause cacti to sprout from the ground, also at the speed of a bullet, after the same charge time and energy use. The cacti look like the stereotypical representation of Cacti and are equipped with hundreds of needle-like thorns that stick into an opponent. The maximum height of the cactus is 6ft and 2 feet in diameter.

Quote:Bone Meal (300) (Ranged, Remote Control) - Sunny focuses for three seconds as ten, sharp, pieces of broken bone form around them. Each bone is between 5 - 15 centimetres in length and is wrapped in thorny vines. Sunny is able to pick a target and then make the bones shoot towards them at the speed of an arrow. This move can be quite draining if used in rapid succession.

Quote:Good Time Pellets (300) (Ranged) - Sunny focuses for 1.5 seconds as 5 bullet-like pellets form in front of her and then fire at the target. Each pellet is the size of a small marble and travels at the speed of a 9mm round in a straight line. While these pellets travel pretty fast, they aren't actually durable enough to break the skin, and will only cause a target to feel a stinging sensation on the point of impact. Not very draining, even if used in rapid succession.

Quote:T1 Super Attack: Blue Mode (600) (Telekinesis) - Sunny focuses for a few seconds on a target, causing them to glow with a blueish hue. After they have turned blue, Sunny picks them up with her telekinetic powers and slams them, rapidly, into the ground three times. The target loses the blueish hue as the super move ends.

Posted by: Kaleigh Dactomb Nox - 03-02-2018, 11:37 PM - Forum: Joining - Replies (8)

CHARACTER NAME:
Kaleigh Dactomb Nox

CHARACTER SOURCE:
Original

CHARACTER HISTORY:
Warning
The following takes place in an earth-like reality not dissimilar to our own, on a planet conveniently called earth itself. In fact, there is almost no difference whatsoever to our earth; they are identical in every way except for those few details that are different.
Reader Discretion is advised.
Kaleigh’s earliest memory was waking up in the center of a rain soaked four-way intersection, clothed in tattered rags and unable to leave on her own. The only fact she knew was her name, it’s exact spelling burned into her mind. As time passed, she slowly learned details about who and what she was, her quirks and the rules of her life. She never aged, neither grew hungry nor thirsty, and though her physical body had its limits, she never tired. She had achieved immortality, and her memories had been the lesser of two costs for it. The second was the dark spirit that now resided within her. His name was Nox, but she called him The Black Dog.

She was not the first to bond with Nox; if she closed her eyes for too long, she would see visions of other people that had been in same situation as her. Each had housed the same spirit that was in her now: some for a short a time as a few days, others for hundreds of year. Each time, the spirit had inevitably left them behind to die and moved to the next host. It was the spirit’s power that granted everlasting life, and it gained its power in a macabre way.

Of the rules she now followed, the most important was to never sleep, never fall unconscious. Doing so released Nox from within her, allowing it to roam free. Those who met the gaze of its fiery eyes would be marked for death, doomed to die a gruesome death in exactly one year. Portions of whatever time they would have had left in the world was given to her, extending her cursed life. When she finally awoke, she would find herself caught in a crossroads, unable to leave without guidance.

As the years went by, she sought to atone for the lives she had unintentionally taken. Each place she visited, she did what little good she could before moving on. She deliberately avoided highly populated areas, taking whatever route was available to her and never staying in one place for too long. Superstition followed her wake, and even deaths that were not her fault were often laid at her feet.

As her borrowed years finally started to run out, she hid herself into the most remote areas she could find. As she wandered the lonely paths of the wilderness, her path suddenly took an unexpected turn. In a single blink, she went from a heavily wooded forest to a black void, and then she heard a voice.

OM (4200/5000)

STARTING PROFICIENCIES:
Physical Strength – 1000 OM

STARTING POWERS:
Survival – 2000 OM

STARTING MOVES:
Attack descriptions are based solely on the attack in the hands of an average person. Because of their variable nature, Stats are not taken into account.

Black Omen (requires Physical Strength) - 600 OM
Weapon Description
For beings of sufficient power, it is trivial to craft items out of the even most exotic materials. By reaching through the threads of existence, one can forge a weapon out of the very essence of a being, resulting in something truly unique. Being made literally from the person themselves, these weapons form a permanent bond with their users. They become less a tool and more an extension of the person and over time slowly grow and adapt into a reflection of their innermost person. These changes are subtle at first; decades pass before anything is noticeable, and lifetimes go by before they reach their true potential. It is possible there is a way to speed up this process, though it has never been accomplished without serious consequences to the owner.

Kaleigh’s weapon is a greatsword forged out of pieces of her own essence. The actual blade is made of incredibly dense bone, bound to the hilt by ligaments and sinew and decorated with tufts of jet black fur. It is more an extension of her own body than just a weapon, and it pulses lightly in rhythm with her heartbeat.

The blade is roughly five feet in length and 8 inches wide, the insides of this blade hide numerous complicated organics that manipulate the momentum and energy of each swing. Though typically wielded with both hands, Kaleigh is capable of using her weapon effectively with just one hand as well, although with a slight loss of control and accuracy.
Basic Attack
Attack Stats:
Activation time: Instant
Speed: Slow as expected from a common great sword
Power: Significantly heavier than a great sword.
Mobility: No restrictions
Accuracy: As expected of a common great sword
Range: Melee
Area Of Effect: Single Target
Attack Description:
While a normal swing is slow and predictable, excess force and recoil is channeled through the blade instead of acted upon its user, allowing the wielder to stay much more mobile than a blade this size would seem to allow. Potential energy is stored at the base of the blade in an organ similar in composition to a human heart.

Fast Attack
Attack Stats:
Activation time: 0.5 seconds to brace against swing momentum.
Speed: As fast as a common long sword
Power: About as much as a common great sword
Mobility: Stationary until after swing
Accuracy: As expected of a common great sword
Range: Melee
Area Of Effect: Single Target
Attack Description:
Potential energy stored in the heart of the blade can be utilized with an appropriate application of will, which allows its user to unleash portions of this potential energy into kinetic energy that accelerate the swings dramatically. Activating these lightning fast swings require the user to temporarily suspend the momentum dampening effects of the blade, necessitating a firm stance which effectively immobilizes the user for a brief moment. Additionally, this effect must be released before impact to avoid damaging the heart. Once reactivated, the recoil storing effects overcompensate for the speed of the blade, drawing power from the swing and making it hit slightly less hard than a normal swing.

Kinetic Override – Tier 1 Super Attack – 600 OM (requires Physical Strength)
Attack Stats:
Activation time: 0.5 seconds to brace against swing momentum.
Speed: As fast as a common long sword
Power: Super level 1, like being hit by a freight train going full speed, except that can also cut you in half
Mobility: Stationary until after swing
Accuracy: As expected of a common great sword
Range: Melee
Area Of Effect: Single Target
Attack Description:
By activating the stored energy of her blade and holding it through impact, Kaleigh can cause a complete discharge of the heart of her blade. The resulting swing is both blindingly fast and explosively deadly, and the similarity to the blades normal function makes it difficult to predict. However, the kickback is enough to break the arm of anyone not familiar with how the blade functions, and also causes severe damage to the sword, negating its ability to store enough energy for a second override, (Short bursts of speed are still possible). This damage ‘heals’ over time, in line with Kaleigh’s own natural healing.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.
I do hereby confirm.

  Character Switch Desco to Schwi

Changing from Desco to just Schwi

Schwi already has an approved roster http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=9149

The only change would be the OM change and merging of the two accounts or resetting Desco's OM to 5000.

Starting OM: 17277

  Vote For Us! (March) [Done]
Posted by: Crocodile - 03-02-2018, 03:40 PM - Forum: Bookkeeping Archive - Replies (502)

You like having more people to play with, right? That was a rhetorical question, because having more people to write with is awesome. Do you also like OM? If the answer is 'yes', which OBVIOUSLY it is, then please vote for us on the following sites!

RPGfix (every 12 hours. If you register, your votes count as x2. Worth the couple of minutes to make an account if you're going to be voting every day) https://www.rpgfix.com/site/the-omniverse.538/vote
Top RP Sites (Daily) https://www.toprpsites.com/
Forum Roleplay (Daily. Please also leave a rating/review/comment!) http://forumroleplay.gotop100.com/in.php?ref=431
Top Site List Planet (Daily.) http://www.top-site-list.com/jaycatschoice/vote/461934

Vote on all sites, then post here with "Vote 1". When you vote on all sites again, post "Vote 2". You are allowed to vote again 12 hours after your previous vote, and we're okay if that only affects RPGfix. However, you should be trying to vote on all sites, as the reset times vary.

Tl;dr: Vote for all the sites, put "1". Next day, do the same and put "2". If you're really hardcore, you can vote every 12 hours, but it's not necessary.

If we find out your votes aren't being counted (and yes, we take the times you voted into account) we will give you the benefit of the doubt the first time as a mistake. However, if it happens again, or if we think you're not bothering or simply haven't read this, we will remove your voting privileges and you will no longer be eligible for this monthly bonus.

At the end of the month, if you posted ...

5-10 times: You get 100 OM.
11-16 times: You get 200 OM.
17-22 times: You get 300 OM.
23-28 times: You get 400 OM.
29+ times: 500 OM, and a fistbump from me for being so damn diligent.

If you have an alternate character and wish to claim your reward on that account as opposed to your main one, please let us know in the topic before the month ends. If you don't, we'll assume you want the OM on the account you posted with.

Thanks for voting everyone! If you have time, please also leave a vote and review for us on Top RPG sites(once only).

Since the thread is late, but I'm sure folks have already voted, go ahead and make Staff aware in your first post if you voted on March 1.

(I did this on Mobile, so excuse the ugly links)

Posted by: Koal - 03-02-2018, 09:58 AM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (2)

"What did the big, scary man want, sweet cheeks?" The sing-song voice of Cheshire rang around his ears, through the chatter and ambient noise of the restaurant and brought a small, albeit strained, smile to his face. Tucking the small flash drive away in his pocket, Koal walked back to the table and slid smoothly back into his place next to the wrath demon with the thousand-watt smile.

"Sweet cheeks? I don't think so. Try again." He said, mirth creeping into his voice, the thoughts about his mission being pushed to the back of his mind, the chance to actually act his age was too rare to be bogged down with thoughts of espionage.

"Aw, don’t be so Koal-d, babe, It's just a pet name!" Her smile stretched a bit more, and she poked his side as she began to chuckle.

"That was bad, Sarah. Like, I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than hear another god-tier shitty dad-pun than that." He deadpanned, before looking across the bar to Tobias, who was nursing a bottle of beer whose name he couldn’t pronounce. It was... normal. As normal as it was ever going to get anyway. Smiling to himself, Koal turned his head to face Cheshire and they engaged in an energetic, albeit nonsensical conversation about the raven-haired demon's adventures. Two shots of whiskey and a couple pizzas later, he was animatedly regaling his two companions, as well as half the restaurant, in the tale of his travels while conscripted under the Raiders of the Ashen Steppes, consciously not mentioning the parts he would mind forgetting.
"No way! You rode a dragon?!"

"Technically it was a wyvern, but yeah. I named him Whiskers because he had these long scars on the side of his snout-"

"No way!"

"No, I'm serious!"

"So cool! Did you hear that, Toby?! He-"

"Rode a dragon that he named Whiskers that wasn't actually a dragon, yeah yeah." Tobias griped despite the small smile on his face, before his serious demeanor cracked and he chuckled, raising the dark, muddy-brown bottle in a toast before taking another swig.

" So where do you come from, Koal? You one of those big, bad Primes that everyone's always trashin'?" She said with a smile, although Koal saw the genuine uncertainty behind those chocolate colored eyes of hers. It was an innocent enough question and he couldn't find it in himself to get upset with that. Down here, in all this fear and uncertainty, people feared Primes as harbingers of death. Or crime-lords who held fate of everything in their hands. All too often, Koal gathered, the people in the slums of society were the ones who got burned.

"And what if I am? Are you scared of me? Like some shadowy monster that hides beneath your bed at night?" Koal felt the happiness leave him as he withdrew into himself and leaned forward on the bar, his left eye burning with what he knew to be demonic energy, turning it to that deep red hue he loathed so much.

"Self-pity does not suit you, Koal. As a demon of pride, you have a very low opinion of yourself, no? And to answer your question, no, we do not fear you." Gesturing in an offhand matter with the neck of his beer bottle, he continued on, his voice sending rumbling vibrations through everyone in the immediate vicinity. "You have the cruelty, but it is not your own. I realize while that does not make sense now, it will. The sadism you feel isn't unnatural, young blood. It’s a mind over matter situation. You hurt deeply, and that apparent to anyone looking at you.

"You walk with pride, and yet your eyes are always so downcast, as if you have never relished to be alive. And it disappeared for a while today, in the company of trusted friends and companions." He got up and put a hand on Koal's shoulder, while the young man blinked back tears as he stared into the crystalline material of his shot glass.

"You are not a monster, Koal. Monsters don’t regret their actions."

"No, I suppose they don't, do they?" Koal laughed, a bitter and hollow sound, before pounding back the shot in his hand and making to get out his seat. He felt his cheeks burn with shame and embarrassment as he felt a few stray tears carve their way down his pale skin. Shaking his head, he brushed past Tobias, who let out a deep sigh and threw a loaded glance at Cheshire, who stared at the Pride Demon's retreating form, eyes shining with unshed tears at the pain she saw in his beautiful violet and red eyes.

"Go after him, Kid. He needs somebody to keep him grounded."

"But-" She tried to interject, whimpering as she quickly got off the bar stool.

"You've wanted to get out of this place for a long time, Cheshire. This is your chance. Make something of yourself and find someone to share it with. And as much as he may loathe to admit it, our young friend there needs the help." He gently said, waving a hand around the restaurant in a roundabout gesture, encompassing the world they had faced together for so long now. His eyes were soft and yet they held a firm grip on her own. The woman shifted back and forth from foot to foot, worrying at her bottom lip with her sharp teeth, fiddling with her hands and exuding an air of uncertainty and hesitance. Then she focused on his face again, eyes widening a fraction more, the fiery brown orbs almost comically big and innocent.

"I-I... But what about you?" The tears finally spilled from her eyes, a small whimper escaping her as she lurched forward, hugging the silver-haired man with a strength that belied her small frame.

"Don't worry about me. I've been through worse." He gently removed her arms from his torso and gave her a gentle push towards the door, not letting her see the small, proud smile and the tears gathering in his own eyes. Oh, how quick they grow up, indeed.

"Now go get em'."

~Line Break~

"Koal! Wait up! Jeez you walk fast, you and your fuckin' long legs." Koal acted like he didn't hear her, continuing to expertly weave through the crowd, subconsciously lengthening his stride, his hands gently guiding people out of his way as he tried to stem the tears and the slight haze of the alcohol over his head. Not like it mattered anyway. Them he felt a sharp, searing pain clamp down on his wrist, and he saw the fiery hand of a wrath demon.

"Wherever you're going, I've got your back. And I'm not taking no for an answer." And looking into her brown eyes that were alight with flame and determination, he couldn't find it in himself to deny her.

"Then I guess we have some work to do."

Taloc Sa’Koro blinks once, twice, not believing what he’s seeing. It’s impossible… Just a moment ago he was… but now… Something felt strange though, like a sticky wetness and it seemed to have soaked through his sleeves. Looking down at his hands he sees a red so dark it might as well be black in the flickering light of the fire. This is a color and feeling he knows… Blood. However, that doesn’t explain. Wait… Fire…?

Another piece clicks into place and he looks up at the burning remains of Koro. His life, his home, his people. The dead and the dying lie strewn throughout the streets, their eyes, even in death, stare at him. Confusion, betrayal, disbelief… It just couldn’t be… No outsider has the skill or knowledge to do anything like this. Not even close. Whoever did this was exceptionally skilled as well… Many of these veteran death-dealers went down without a fight, and all of them appear to be looking not only at him, but drilling into his soul. Bloody hell - those eyes...

Taking a step back under the weight of their dead stares, he trips, landing hard but not feeling it as he saw what it was that caught his foot. The silken raven hair, the obsidian black eyes now glazed over, the flawless face of his wife looking back at him, a black hilted dagger still lodged in her chest. “N-no… Please no. Anything… Anything but this…”

His hands slowly reach forward, terrified of confirming what he’s seeing, but it can’t be denied… The black hilt is that of Woe, and Ire lies not far away its curved blade a mocking smile. Both blades laughing at him, relishing in the slaughter of all that he knew and loved. He silently clutches his wife to his chest, tears streaming down his face as the slow realization hits him.

'I did this...'

Reaching forward once more he grips the hilt of Woe. It had been his partner for many long years… It will see his final job complete as well.

“If you can’t defend your own, be sure to avenge them.” Taloc says softly. Without another word, he plunges the blade into his chest, feeling the hematosis poison seep into his veins. Through burning tears he looks down for the last time at his wife, his love, his life and the world slowly goes black…

Almost instantly the pain vanishes and sensation of gravity vanishes leaving him with the uncomfortable feeling floating in the midst of nothingness. Out of the darkness the silhouette of Omni appears… Tentatively Taloc tries moving, but to no avail, clearly this intends to be a one sided meeting since even the simple action of speaking seems to be unavailable to him. Still… If this is the afterlife, it’s a lot better than some of the possibilities he had heard of… And then Omni began speaking, making it rather clear that this wasn’t death. He went from complacent to madness in a mere moment, rage roaring through him.

‘How dare he deny me the death I deserve!’

The thought rockets through Taloc’s mind as he’s held in place. The fact that the reason is because this figure, this ‘God’ of the Omniverse, finds him interesting only makes matters worse. He strains against his binds, pushing with all the will he can muster to get at this figure, though it is all for naught. Still it continues its explanation, as if it’s not clear how upset Taloc is. Then again, being unable to move makes it rather difficult to express emotion. Maybe Omni really isn’t aware…

And then it brings out this orb, Omnilium it calls it, going on to explain more as if there was any choice but to listen... Finally, just as it was seeming to wrap up it’s speech, it added one final tid bit.

Quote:“Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.”

Adding insult to injury, Omni just outright said that death isn’t permanent here. That he’ll just keep coming back, again and again and again. Why?

As the darkness fades, Taloc finally finds himself able to move again and a single question rips through his lips. He yells at the top of his lungs, trying to bring the accursed god back, “WHY? Why won’t you just let me die?”

Silence. “Of course he wouldn’t answer. Why would he? If he wanted to have a full discussion he would’ve just let me do so earlier, now wouldn’t he?” Taloc mumbles to himself softly. “So now what do I do? Go on about my life after what I did… No. Maybe he was bluffing. Just like…”

Taloc holds a hand up to his head as a sudden pain shoots through. Something is missing. Just like who? It makes no sense… Why can’t I remember something like...

It was only then that he realized he was still wearing the clothes from the village. From the slaughter. His weapons, now sheathed strangely, hang behind his waist like always, ready to be drawn at a moment's notice, but the clothes. God the clothes… Torn in several places and still dripping blood from the sleeves, sheer revulsion rockets through him. His friends, his family… Dripping onto the paving stones... Only now did he notice the sound of running water. The large stone fountain shooting streams up into fanciful arcs in stark contrast of the bleached white of this place he is in.

'Water.'

Without thought he jumps into the fountain and begins ripping off his clothes, determined to get the gore off of his body as fast as possible. In his desperation he breaks the buckle on his belt, leaving his blades to fall into quickly reddening waters surrounding him. With a splash, Ire and Woe sink to the bottom, sheathes and all, causing him to pause a moment. Standing there, half naked, he looks down at his bare torso. Not even a mark where Woe had pierced him... The rest of the scars remained, but it was as if his weapons, his partners, had never tasted his flesh. Slowly, he bends down and grips the hilt of Ire, pulling the darkened steel short sword from its sheath, examining it closely. The damascus weave of the blade seemed to be dancing with rolling waves, giving the illusion that they were moving as it caught the strange source-less light of this realm.

Changing his grip ever so slightly and applying pressure to different areas on the hilt, the pattern on the blade changes, or at least it was supposed to. He knew the different grip combinations of Ire and Woe extremely well, his life tended to depend on it after all. Why isn’t hematosis activating? After a good minute of different combinations he is clearly growing more frustrated, practically glaring down at Ire. Over a dozen different combinations are put in several times over to no effect, until the last… The damascus weave shifts, the waves seeming to stretch and elongate until they take on the form of lightning striking down towards the tip.

“At least the paralysis works,” he mutters quietly. "But this certainly makes things a bit more difficult..."

Slowly he reaches down and retrieves Woe from the fountain as well, the darkened metal weaves appearing to smile at his touch. Laying them down on the stone rim surrounding the decorative pool he removes the blood stained pants and sits down, water coming up to his chest. Cold, especially so in certain areas, but far better then being covered in… He shivers at the thought and eyes his weapons once more, contemplating.
