  What Drugs?
Posted by: Ash - 03-09-2018, 01:05 PM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (2)

Jakob approached his door in the same way he did to any sensible puzzle in his life, in no particular set way. He has all but forgotten what he was doing back at his apartment, but he remembers needing to go back. Something about how he wasn’t sure he was properly equipped for the adventure he needed to go on. He slotted his key into the old-timey lock, the teeth making as little noise as he could prevent them from doing. The drug addict prime was on his knees and looked to be more drunk than anything as he eased the brass key into place.

He looked around thoughtfully, slowly his head turning in either direction before he continued his work. Jakob twisted the key in the lock and sighed a sound of relief when it disengaged the arm that held the door firmly in the frame. He looked particularly proud of himself at this point, and then pulled the key back and gently turned the knob.

A minute later he cracked his door and looked through with his grey colored eye. The room he looked into was a mess. There were piles of clothes everywhere you looked, old fast food bags full of no doubt the remains - if any - of past meals inside them. Papers and boxes that held delicious fast paced high priced food stacked every where you can imagine. He stared for a very long time, paying close attention to the abused floor. Nothing seemed out of place.

Jakob slammed the door back shut before getting to his full height, then with all the grace and finesse he usually held the Russian entered the room. The door smacked angrily into the wall behind it, adding to the chipping hole in the drywall and coaxing a neighbor to scream something incoherently. The man in his apartment ignored him to hold up the crowbar in his red arm and look around in the open concept room. Beside him sat a large standing dresser, which shook with the force of the door’s opening. On top of it, a few pill bottles have fallen and roll to a stop against some socks.

The Rigger looked about until he was confused to why he assumed someone was in here, and longer until even those thoughts turned to blank spaces where his reasoning should stand. Eventually, he even closed his door, put the hook of his crowbar into the hole in the wall and flopped down on his unmade bed. The mattress was torn asunder, cotton clumps decorating its top and hiding the springs that lay in wait for you to put your guard down. His blanket did little to hide whatever nightmares that plagued him during his sleep but did make for an uncomfortable knot in his thigh.

He sat there. Staring into space for a long time before he finally realized he was zoning out. His mind immediately went straight to how he should take some more painkillers before his leg got really bad. Jakob got right back up and approached the pill bottles stashed in various places in his mess.

He found fifteen empty pill boxes, thirteen pill bottles, and two mini baggies he remembered having Bliss in them. He looked at his collection of bottles and boxes with great disappointment and frowned. His lower lip sticking out and creasing his chin with his pain. “Vhere do I get more Bliss now?” He asked himself as if he had all the answers. His slightly future self would know the familiar sting of disappointment a moment later when he realizes he didn’t have all the answers. Lucky for him, however, he quickly formed an observation to latch onto. Here in Coruscant there were things such as drug dealers. He new he was limited in who he’d be able to convince to give him something, buy he should be able to reach out to someone, da?

Da.

Jakob, with his mind, made up, walked over to his crowbar, picking up the impromptu weapon, and yanked open his door once more. It did not damage the wall further this time, but the man that exited the apartment did get yelled at once more by his neighbor. Quickly enough, he was forgetting to lock his door and headed down to tier 5. Where he could hopefully find another thing of Bliss.

  Conversation fragments you overhear
Posted by: Jade Harley - 03-09-2018, 01:01 PM - Forum: The Creative Corner - Replies (5)

I thought it would be fun to post the bits and pieces of conversations I hear sometimes, because I'm a creepy listener. I also figured this type of thread could be useful when developing natural dialogue in writing. Feel free to post some of your own?

"When do you think I should tell him?"
"That's scary-merry... [incoherent]"
"I think it's 314 or something. I dunno."
"[under breath when working on computer and with headphones on] I have a quiz today..."
"You guys waited on me? Aw. Friends."
"I didn't mean to hurt him, mom. But it's not my fault if he's... [walked too fast, cellphone convo]"
"Hoooo my god. Oh jesus. I'm so nervous."

  Tea Party

The waters lapped gently at the beach, the ocean rolling onto itself as the world breathed in and out. The air tasted like sea-salt taffy and brushed against the face of a young man. The sun beating down on his blank white face, which is turned up at the sky. His light-colored hair surrounded his head, the braid off one side being the only clumped up section. Hoseki went for hours undisturbed, the fact that he had not vanished completely meant that he was alive and well enough.

Two very pale shadows cast across his form.

"Who do you think he is?" A young voice asked.

"I don't know, but maybe we shouldn't bother him. He could be sleeping." Another voice spoke back. "He could be a prime. We don't want to bother him if he is."

"But what if he's hurt?" The first asked.

"If he's a prime, he will be fine. Let's go." The second voice tried, getting further away and thus harder to hear due to his distance from the doll growing. One of the shadow's drifted away fully.

The other remained. "I don't think we should..." She replied, turning around.

She was of 3 foot tall, maybe more. Her light teal hair was pulled up in a top-bun, her sparkingly blue eyes looked down at the stranger in the sand. She clung to a huge pastel yellow bunny rabbit stuffed animal to the chest of her brown and yellow plaid over-alls. Her crisp white shirt ended in a circular collar that folded nearly where it was buttoned all the way up. She looked down at the washed-up hero, and just watched him.

Watching...

Watching...

Watching.

As she tried to come to terms with what she should do Jenna found herself staring.

She jumped when the washed-up man's eyes flick open quickly, his dull staring straight into her eyes. She let out a small squeal and hide in the ears of her rabbit. "DON'T HURT ME!" Jenna whimpered.

  Chaos Returns

Pain. His whole world was comprised of that one word as his body reformed in the Nexus, still suffering numerous lacerations from what  Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX had done with that sword of his to him. Likely the wounds were not going to fully heal for quite some time, given what the individual had done to him. Of course the physical wounds were really the least of the problems possessed by Warren Zimmer at present. No,  the mental wounds were the most dangerous. To put it bluntly, Warren was now paranoid about ever going back to the Tangled Green in the future. Of course there were numerous reasons he would not return to such a place in the foreseeable future.

Reason One was Hecate herself. She was a powerful Prime, and had the ability to manipulate ice. She could likely cause him all manner of problems on her own. Given her abilities were likely not to be limited by the heat of the environment, this ruled out one strategy that he could use against her, almost immediately. Had the power she possessed followed the normal laws of physics, he would have had an easier time facing her. Of course, she was not the actual problem that he had to learn how to deal with. No, the actual problem was her other personality, Dark Hecate that made him nearly wet himself as he thought about it.

Yellow liquid ran down one of his legs, for he was that horrified of her. Dark Hecate was a sadist and also had a minion.

Her minion,  Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX was the second problem. The individual may appear to not be much of a threat, but had actually bested him in swordsmanship. Of course that had been who knew how long ago, because Warren didn’t know what day, or hour it was. The guy’s sword had tasted his blood and would need to be permanently destroyed at some future date. If Warren could ever work up the courage to go back there, that was. Right now, he knew he was in no shape, mentally, or emotionally, or physically to do any sort of battle.

His third problem was one that he could solve more easily, assuming he gathered enough Omnilium. It was that he was homeless now, having been evicted essentially from his home by  Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX. It was the last time he tried to show a Prime any kindness in the Nexus, or anywhere else. From now on, he was going to treat everyone, whether they had earned it or not as if they were his mortal enemies until proven otherwise.

His fourth problem was that he had just humiliated himself even further. Through sheer will power he arrested the flow of yellow liquid that had trickled down one of his bare legs. Oh. He was completely unclothed at present. This was not going to do at all, in his eyes. No, he needed new garments for himself, garments that were something he would be comfortable wearing.

However, he was not ready to be the Quarterback of Chaos right now. Being the Quarterback of Chaos meant that he needed to be strong enough to defend his title, and he could not do that as he was now. His body needed time to heal, as did his mind. Unfortunately, it was not like he could just erase those memories that had plagued him, the memory of his brutal murder before he had regenerated in the Nexus.

The memory was likely going to hamper his ability and his drive to fight anyone, for some time. Of course, his injuries that he still had were also likely to interfere with being able to engage anyone in combat, sadly. Improvements had to be made to his arsenal, that was all there was to it. Perhaps he could develop new devices to make him strong enough to survive facing down  Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX in the future. While he couldn’t do it now, he could win later on. It was this thought that somewhat cheered up Warren Zimmer. Now was not the time to dwell on the past, though he was going to seek psychological help in the near future to help him overcome his paranoia, and fear of them.

All in all,  Warren knew what he needed to do. Execution of it was a different matter, though. For his body felt at present like someone had stabbed it all over with liquid sunlight, and then inserted needles containing acid into every nerve ending on his body. In short, he was in no small amount of agonizing miserable, making him want to kill someone even if he couldn’t level pain, at present. Oh yes, when he recovered from this, there was going to be a reckoning.

Forcing his body to ignore the pain, for at least a moment, Warren created a gray body suit. While this reminded him of the prison jumpsuit he had worn back when he had been in Canton, it was all he could imagine at present. Of course this was more latex, or spandex. While he was not a fetishist, he just needed something to wear at present. Disgusted by the outfit, but because it was all he could think of to create,  Warren forced himself to put it on. Putting on clothing felt like it was a torture that had been designed by the individuals he hated the most. In this case, Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX and Dark Hecate. Regular Hecate was easy enough to get along with, but it was her dark side that Warren wished to rid himself of.

Any removal of his problems was not possible - at least at this juncture. There were many reasons he could not even attempt to do so. For starters, Warren was now unwilling to even drink beverages that had ice inside of them. Why this was so, he did not know the answer. It was like he couldn’t make his hand grab the beverages anymore. Like, his whole body was not willing to even be around ice, or extreme cold. His phobia as it likely was, was going to make life more difficult for him than anyone could possibly imagine.

A psychologist, or several were likely going to be needed. Of course, finding ones willing to aid him in recovering was not going to be an easy task. Another matter cropped up, as he thought about that problem. His reputation in the Empire was one that he needed to adjust, so that he was viewed as more of a regular citizen than a punching bag for members of the Empire.

Sadly he did not have an NFL-R, and couldn’t concentrate enough to make one. Every attempt he made to do so felt like someone was playing whack a warren with a super heated crowbar on the inside of his cranium. In short, he was not going to be making anything out of Omnilium at present, until the agony in his skull transitioned down from impossible to concentrate with, to dull throb. The pain did give him a desire to do something though that he wouldn’t have thought of before. Namely Torture. The target of the torture was someone he honestly believed deserved it. Xx_Yandere_Lo♥er_xX to be exact was going to suffer when Warren recovered. If for nothing else than how he was feeling right now, anyway.

No. He was not going to murder them. He was going to instead do something they likely weren’t going to expect. Avoid them entirely. A different verse perhaps was the best choice, one that was as far removed from the Tangled Green as he could make it. So far he had just been to the world of Coruscant, and that verse was not somewhere he was going to call home. The people there, the locals took too much pleasure from beating him up, so he couldn’t call there home.

As Coruscant and the Tangled Green were the only places he knew in the Omniverse,  Warren Zimmer realized that he was going to have to go exploring. Scouting out a new place to call home was not going to be an easy task. Of course few things in life actually worth him doing were considered by any definition of the word to be easy. Obviously he was going to need to get some help, because he felt lethargic, to put things mildly. It was like someone had sucked out all of his strength. When combined with the misery he was currently feeling, it was surprising that he could motivate himself to do anything.

Posted by: Ash Williams - 03-08-2018, 01:36 PM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (2)

Today was the first day Ash decided he was going to make a trip to Coruscant. On that day, he was sitting in the local tavern back in Darkshire after he finished his patrol duties on helping out with the militia. He was lounging around on and decided to play Texas hold ‘em with five other bounty hunters who weren't locals. While playing the game, the people who were strangers were conversating while the dealer handed them their cards. Each of the bounty hunters told stories of their own travels and the bounties they collected from how long they lived in the Omniverse. Some of the stories boasted about themselves and others were humorous.

A short while in, Ash announced that he was a prime that has been living here for some time now and said that he hasn't tried to travel to the other verses that they talked about. He didn't really know any other place for a lengthy period until he met with primes from outside of this verse. All the verses they talked about Ash would like to visit someday but Darkshire needed as much help with primes. There was one bounty hunter named Jackson and he was part cybernetic. A bald Caucasian burly man who stood taller than Ash and had bigger biceps. His left hand was an advanced cybernetic hand and there was a story how he lost that hand along with why he got the augments. The evil dead slayer shared his story too about his right hand and the replacement he has for it.

That's when Jackson told him it would be best to head over to Coruscant and find a cybernetic doctor if he wanted a more advanced hand. So, Ash took his advice and decided to travel to Coruscant but planned not to stay there for too long. He's already heard about the Empire and knew they can be strict, but he doesn't plan to be a trouble-maker, as long no one turned into a deadite.

After getting clearance from the Nexus gateway squad he stepped through the portal-like entrance and entered the sprawling futuristic city verse. He noticed he was inside a humongous building that had a dome ceiling above him that had glass panels with the light of the verse's sun shining through it. Many varied species of beings were inside this building and stormtrooper presence was significant. A huge golden statue of Emperor Palpatine stood in the center of the foyer with a welcoming gesture. It was placed in front of the gateway for the newcomers or returning people of Coruscant.

"Emperor Palpatine of The Empire" was the big printed letters that were engraved into the base that the statue was on top of.

This image of the emperor was made to appear he had the authority over anyone who set foot in his verse.

Ash walked past the statue and went up the stairs that led to a row of counters that had lines of people, standing before them. He noticed it was registration of citizenship for Coruscant due to the holographic words that were displayed on a wall above the counters. The evil dead slayer didn't want to register to live in this verse, so he bypass citizenship registration station and continued to walk into one of the two hallways that were beside the registration counters. While walking away from the foyer, Ash realized there were many people front and behind him. He also noticed that there was a checkpoint of stormtroopers that citizens/tourist lined up at. It was the only way to get to the rest of Coruscant, so Ash had no choice to wait there for a lengthy time. Eagerness was growing on him as he waited to see what this so-called popular verse appeared to be. Each person took at least a minute or two if they had their citizenship ID. If the stormtroopers security scanners went off on something, the troopers had to pat down that person and figure out why their security system was going off. The time lapse for this depended on how fast they could get it done.

After it seemed for about thirty minutes, it was finally Ash's turn. He went through the imperial scanner terminal that was embedded into the floor with three stormtroopers surrounding it and one officer who stood behind a computer system that was hooked up to the scanner right next to it. The scanner blared the alarm off that it detected something on Ash. A groan came out of his mouth from the security system was unfair to the somewhat good guy. They halt him and tell him that the system was going off because of his holstered boomstick.

"Sir, your weapon is required to be removed due to the laws of Coruscant," the Stormtrooper stated to Ash in a demanding manner.

"Fine," Ash replied with his patience becoming thin.

He used his Ominilium to make his shotgun disappear and remained with no weapons attached to him. The only thing he had was his old steel prosthetic hand. They pat him down for more suspicious stuff and shot a mug picture of him to run through the bounty board of the Empire on the computer system. After the four-minute process, they let Ash proceed to pass the checkpoint.

"Alright, you're clear. Move along," the stormtrooper ordered Ash while stepping out of his way.

The Darkshire traveler did so and moved beyond the checkpoint to go down a flight of steps that was fifty feet away. After getting down the flight of steps, he entered an extensive massive hallway that had many advertisements, propaganda, seating areas, benches, and vending machines. Potted plant life was established here to give a livelier style too. This took fifteen minutes for Ash to get all the way to the end of the second hallway. When he left the hallway, the Darkshire defender realized he was finally outside on a massive docking platform that had hover vehicles of all sorts such as taxis, buses, and EPD. Crowds of people waited for certain transports to get here but Ash made his way through.

Ash wasn't really used to this kind of crowding before since he came from Darkshire which was nothing compared to this size. Afterward, from finally getting out from the crowd, Ash can finally see how Coruscant looked to be. Of course, he was amazed from the sight of the gigantic city. Miles and miles appeared to be nothing but the city. Tall futuristic architecture buildings reached higher to the sky than others. There was much flight traffic happening with the hover cars that populated Coruscant. The sun shined down upon the city, making it look like it was made of gold from the metallic reflection. He was dumbstruck at this moment that he didn't think this city would be the biggest he ever saw.

Seeing it rather than hearing about it does make a difference.

The evil dead slayer finally snapped out of the city's attractive display and got into one of the taxis.

His taxi driver was a green male alien humanoid known as Rodian.

"Where ya headin' to?" the Rodian spoke in his ruff city accent.

"Just take me to the square of this city," Ash replied to the taxi driver, trying not to get weirded out from his appearance.

The hover taxi lifted in the air for a second and turned away from the welcome center of Coruscant. They flew away than blended in one of the bustling air traffic freeways.

  Robots can Dream Too
Posted by: Aello - 03-06-2018, 05:21 PM - Forum: Coruscant - Replies (1)

Buried in some cramped corner of Tier Four stood a shoddy repair shop. It was the kind of building that was more rust than actual metal. Heaps of scrap and discarded parts laid in sagging piles around back, and the front had a smoker post that was always a few cigarettes away from being too full. Every now and again the staccato scream of an impact driver or some other power tool would light up the air. A single massive garage door sat open during warm days. When it was cold the door would be kept shut and only opened when necessary since opening it let all of the heat escape. Atop the entrance flashed half of a neon sign that read “Jill’s Cybertec Repair Center”.

Out back, straddling one of the aforementioned scrap heaps, stood a robot. Largely humanoid in construction the bot held a sword made from cobbled together scrap. Yellow paint clung stubbornly to his scratched chassis. He wore a sleeveless shirt and a pair of khaki shorts. Not that he had anything to cover up, but he liked the style. The robot’s head was reminiscent of a welding mask with a single rectangular slit to serve as eyes and no mouth to speak of. Surrounding this king of scrap was a ring of latchkey kids, each of them watching with barely contained excitement.

“And so, our brave knight Corius climbed the Mountain of Despair for he knew that the evil wizard Gillandrahall had hidden the fair princess within its morose peaks,” the robot exclaimed with a tinny reverb filled voice, “alas our courageous knight knew not the dangers that awaited him, for you see the Mountain of Despair was home to a vicious and bloodthirsty rust dragon!”

The robot tapped his sword twice against the outside wall of Jill’s shop. In response a small shock-white drone came buzzing out through an open window. This drone was little more than a sterile white cylinder with a propeller on top. A set of built in speakers played several stock dragon roars while tin cans duct taped to strings dangled menacingly from the drone’s body. It dove and swooped past the robot who swung his makeshift sword in response. The children ooh’d and ah’d as the drone made another pass. This mock fight carried on for a minute or two, and finally came to a head as the robot scored a clean blow against the strings and sent the tin cans clattering to the ground. A horrid death rattle escaped the drone’s speakers before it buzzed back inside.

“With a thunderous blow, Dragonslayer Corius brought the beast low,” the robot exclaimed as it leaped from the scrap heap and squashed a fallen can. He raised his sword in victory and continued to speak, “with the dragon slain and the peak in sight, Knight Corius continued his jour--”

“Hey! Cori! Quit dinking around and get in here,” Jill shouted, her voice carrying outside through an open window, “I need you to help me.”

If Cori could have smiled he would have been beaming. What ending could have been better than a cliffhanger? The children groaned as Cori staked his sword into the scrapheap and walked towards the shop’s backdoor. Their disheartened faces tugged at his metaphorical heartstrings, and with a sigh he turned back to face them.

“Sorry kids, but duty calls, and a knight never forgets his duty,” the robot said, “don’t you worry though, the adventures of Knight Corius will continue tomorrow.”

The inside of Jill’s shop was not much better than the outside. Tools and random assortments of futuristic parts were scattered around in haphazard heaps. Cybernetic limbs and implants in various states of disrepair hung against one wall. Grease and burnt oil filled the air with a grungy scent; not that Cori minded, he couldn’t smell anything anyways. At the center of this nest of rust stood an impressively large construction mech. Temporary scaffolding wrapped around its depowered frame and its right arm hung completely detached and suspended by a crane built into the ceiling. Cori scanned the area for Jill, but found no trace of her.

“Jill,” he called out, “where are you?”

“Over here,” she responded.

Cori followed the sound of her voice and found her nestled away in a far corner of the shop. Grease marks stained the woman’s already dark skin and somewhat obscured the sleeve of tattoos along her arms. The drone from earlier buzzed around her head, staying far enough away to not get tangled up in her tied-back dreads. She waved him over to the table she was standing at. A rectangular bundle of wires and metal sat half-disassembled on the workbench. Jill pointed at the piece using the soldering iron in her hand.

“Needya to hold this access door back while I resolder a few connections,” she said.

“Sure thing, Jill,” Cori said.

The robot sidled up to the table and pried back the spring-loaded panel. Jill closed one eye as the pupil in her other one dialated. Hidden implants magnified her vision and turned her eyeball into a hyper-focused magnifying glass. Sticking her tongue out she set to work. Little fingers of smoke drifted off the connections as she melted the solder.

“So how is the great knight Corius?” Jill asked.

For a moment Cori didn’t respond, “he’s fine.”

“Just fine?” She probed.

“Just fine.”

Jill stopped for a moment to look at a wiring diagram before coming back to her work.

“Well, I don’t mind you playing make-believe out back, but can you try and leave BB out of it?” She asked, and added, “she’s impressionable and I think all this is rubbing off on her in a bad way.”

In response the drone replayed the sound clip of the dragon’s roar before zooming off around the shop. The faux dragon completed a few laps overhead while playing roar after roar.

“BB, calm down!” Jill shouted, “I’m not saying you guys can’t play together, just that you should make sure you keep fantasy, well, fantasy.”

Cori said nothing.

“There,” Jill said, setting aside the soldering iron, “all done, but since your in here, I need your help with a few more things, they want that mech up and running this weekend and we still have to refurbish the dampners, you know how pushy they get.”

“Yes Jill,” he said, his artificial voice staying monotonous.

Jill began to walk away, but stopped and asked over her shoulder, “you’re not mad at me are you? I didn’t mean nothing by it, I just don’t want BB flying off pretending she’s a dragon or something.”

“No, I’m not mad,” he said, infusing his voice with a bit of cheer, “I think I kinda forgot it was just fantasy for a minute, nothing to be worried about.”

“Alright, well let’s get working.”

  Books with dragons

To make a long story short, I've got some leftover munz from a gift card for amazon and I want to get myself some more stuff to read. And my mood's really hard on dragons right now.

Does anyone have recommendations for books where dragons are involved in any way? Fantasy, science fiction, modern fantasy, I'm open to everything.

Jumping the gun a little here, but I'll have the necessary OM as soon as the February Voting OM is distributed.

Character name: Kumoko

Character source: I’m a spider, so what?

Character history: The nameless girl now known as Kumoko was once an average highschool student. Socially anxious, a loner, and overall unremarkable, she lived a rather boring life, a life that was tragically cut short when the classroom she was sleeping in disintegrated around her, killing her and all her fellow students. Fortunately or unfortunately, she was reborn, waking in an unfamiliar world, surrounded only by darkness, webs, and spiders. Lots and lots of spiders. As if being surrounded by thousands of spiders wasn't bad enough, it was quickly made apparent to Kumoko that not only was she surrounded by them, she was one of them. Her consciousness, her memories, all of her life experience, had been thrust into the body of a spider and thrown into a massive, arachnid battle royale.
This was a world ruled by survival of the fittest, with her newfound brethren fighting and dying around her en masse, every spider out only for themselves. Luckily, Kumoko had a weapon to thrust her above the masses, her very own special power to even the odds and help her survive this massacre: her human mind. And with such a massive advantage over all of her brethren, she did perhaps the smartest thing one could do in such a situation. She took off like a bat out of hell. Rather than chancing her life in a giant slaughter, she figured her best course of survival would be to skulk, plot, plan, and of course, avoid confrontation like the plague.
Thus she survived, honing her spidery skills, learning when to fight and when to flee (mostly when to flee). She slowly trekked through the cavern she called home, a sprawling system of twisting tunnels that she eventually found out was the Elro Great Labyrinth, a labyrinth she intended to escape.
Near the end of that quest to grow strong and claw her way out of that cave, Omni took notice of her. Another stroke of either fortune or misfortune by the whims of a god, and she once again found herself waking up in a new world....

Physical Description:
[spoiler][Image: kumoko___kumo_desu_ga__nani_ka___by_sumo...at272m.jpg][/spoiler]
Kumoko is a type of spider known in her world as a Taratect, a type of very large spider that look and act similar to Corner Funnel Weavers, though with several distinctions. They have three segments, one of which being a head, instead of the two spiders have, and rather than fangs, they have a mouth, though being spiders, they’re still unable to use this mouth to communicate. They also have much more color variation to them, ranging from greys and blacks, to Kumoko’s purple and pink coloration.
Kumoko’s body measures about 4 feet from her mouth to the end of her abdomen, and she has a total leg span of about 4.75 feet. From the ground to the top of her cephalothorax is about 2.5 feet. She weighs around 40 lbs. She also has 8 black, beady eyes, as spiders tend to have. Despite being a spider, she’s surprisingly expressive (at least in how she flails all 8 of her spidery legs around), and those adept at reading body language might be able to tell what she’s thinking just by her wild gesticulations.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 0
SPD: 5
TEC: 3

Starting Proficiencies (2000): Physical (1000), Debuff (1000)

Starting Powers (2100): Burst Movement (800), Superspeed (1000), Basic Super Jumping (300)

Starting Moves:
Spider Walk (Physical) (300):
Being a spider, Kumoko’s capable of scurrying along walls and ceilings with ease. Since it comes as naturally to her as walking normally, she’s even able to move at top speed, attack, and in general use all of her moves while clinging to one, but she must always have at least half of her legs holding onto the surface at any given time, preventing her from dodging recklessly or jumping. Additionally, it also takes more energy than walking along the ground due to the fact she has to fight gravity, but it isn’t incredibly difficult, and she’s capable of doing it for a long time.

Venomous Bite (Physical, Debuff) (300):
As a member of the Taratect species, Kumoko carries their innate venom, which she can deliver with a solid bite from her serrated jaw. Her venom isn’t the paralyzing type a lot of spiders have, but rather inflicts pure pain upon the victim. Those who are bitten and receive a dose experience intense agony in the wound, the sort that makes one wish they’d rather lose their arm rather than continue experiencing it. This venom-induced torment lasts for about 5 seconds, during which it slowly fades away to a more bearable level. Due to limits in physiology, she only has enough venom for about 2 bites before they become normal, non-venomous bites. Her body does synthesize more venom as time goes on, however. She passively regenerates enough for 1 more bite every 30 seconds, though she can not go over her max of 2.

Spider Silk (Physical Strength) (300):
Kumoko can produce a centimeter-thick rope of sticky silk from her abdomen at a rate of three feet per second. The stickiness will not affect Kumoko herself, and so she can safely stick the strands together to make items such as nets or webs without getting caught herself, if she desires.
If anyone or anything else touches it, however, the webbing will stick to them/it firmly. The strength of the silk is based on her ATK, so characters with ATK higher than hers will have a much easier time tearing free of it (and/or tearing the strands themselves) than those with ATK lower than hers.
Kumoko’s body can produce a theoretically inexhaustible supply of silk, but the action of doing so is slightly draining and requires most of her concentration, preventing her from using other moves that require concentration, though she is still capable of walking/jumping as quickly as she can spin the silk, allowing her to connect it from place to place easier if constructing a web or something. Since it’s essentially just a sticky, durable rope, anything that can be done with a rope can be done with the silk.
