He searched the dataverse looking for a name called “Echo”.

He pulled up the screen and found nothing of interest and sighed, he’d have to do it the hard way he supposed.
He’d have to uncloak himself to find her though. Taking a few hours trip lead him to the front of the verse and the scanners, those damn scanners that knew a lot about him, but luckily only picked up his code name back home.

He stared past the scanners, searching for the woman. A flash of red past his eyes as he swore he was seeing things.

“Echo!”

Echo turned to hear a whisper of her codename, the only ones who would know was .. LUCAS!”

She couldn’t help her sighs of relief as they didn’t need to fight each other to figure out it was both of them and not some others.

Lucas pulled Echo to the side “Shhh… Let’s get out of range.”

Echo nodded, quickly “Right, good idea.”

Before the security scanners, they found a wall to hide behind and both stealthed.

Echo whispered back, “Lucas? You had to do the scanners?”

Lucas growled lightly “I didn’t like them. I don’t trust this place. Did they pick up stuff about you?”

Echo raised a eyebrow “No… why?”

Lucas frowned “This is a police state, just like New Helghan. One wrong move and we could have these white helgans all over us!”

Echo shifted uncomfortably. “I was with a man named Ash. He was alright, he offered me a ride to the Pale moons. Told him I was going to find you.”

Lucas raised a eyebrow “What did you learn about him?”

Echo said “He likes playboy magazines, drinking and he was going to the pale moons for something i recall a metal hand?”

Darkness…

Oleander was the son of a relatively "mad" scientist in the year 2118. His father was working on a teleportation technology devised around creating a wormhole through an exotic dimension (as a fuel source.) Oleander decided to try and be the first human to teleport, but was trapped in this dimension.

The dimension was an unstable mess of matter converting to energy and back. Oleander's body exploded, imploded, desintigrated and reassembled repeatedly in a dimension where time moved at an equally chaotic pace, fast and then slow, not at all and then all at once. Eventually, his atomic structure had been entirely replaced by the "matter" of the exotic dimension. Not long (or very long) after, he learned that he could somewhat will the exotic matter to do his bidding, if only to stop the endless torment.

Mastering control of this dimension, he eventually found a means to rip his way out of this dimension and return to his own, using the remnant atoms to create an anchor to his reality. Only, it did not have him reappear in his time. Instead, he arrived somewhere in the medieval era. With the ability to draw exotic matter into this dimension and manipulate its physical properties, he became known as a shape-shifting sorcerer.

He knew it was not wise to mess with the timeline, but he did so anyway. It was not with evil intent, more in spite. He would not let his hard-earned abilities go to waste after an eternity of suffrage. He overthrew the king of a land of barbarians and brought order to the savage land, ending sacrifices to dark gods. He ruled on high by day, and by night he would walk among the commoners as one of many faces he could take. He was working towards a bright, medieval utopia, bringing scraps of technological knowledge in with it.

The Sorcerer-King married, only to watch his wife grow old and sickly before his eyes. On her death bed, he pulled her into the exotic dimension. Her body was shredded and her mind broken. She did not make it through as stable as Oleander had. In the end, her mind was too weak. In the dimension he could do naught but capture the fragments and give it a body of his own design; a raven, befitting his wife's dark complexion.

Time went on. His last day in the land of Sola Lux, he had bit farewell to his people. One hundred years of rule, to the day, he wished to pass on the torch. With no children, he elivated his vizier of the time (the daughter of her predecessor) to the throne. The people were outraged, but taking from a legend of his era, he promised to return should they fall from grace. None doubted his threat.

He laid in bed, a face taken that was not his own. When he awoke, it was to an absolute darkness.

Oleander can alter the physical properties of his atomic structure to create deadly claws. This change takes ten seconds, which transmutes both arms from the elbow down. The result is each digit extending several centimeters into claw shapes. In edition, a spike extends backwards from the elbow, which can be used to attack. The claws and this  ten centimeter spike deal as much damage as a normal strike would, however it cuts instead of bruises, adding brutality to Oleander's combat style.

Oleander can alter the physical properties of his atomic structure to create deadly talons. This change takes ten seconds, which transmutes both legs from the knee down. His feet split, toes separating closer to the ankle. The hallux (big toe) migrates to the back of the heel, allowing excellent grip. In addition, the toes become far more dexterous, acting as individually as if they were fingers. Each toe extends a few centimeters into deadly talons, which can deal a moderate amount of slashing damage.

It is impossible not to notice Oleander entering this state. Even ignoring the cackling howl of his battle rage, the properties of his exotic matter transition from matter towards energy with visual and auditory results. His body vibrates on a molecular level, releasing energy in the form of head a flickering red aura, as well as a high pitched whine that crackles as if it were sparking static electricity. The outlines of his appearance even blur as the surface of his body becomes unstable.

I was bored and started googling roleplay sites, and ended up here!

It's been about a year since I was last here. I guess I just got busy and kinda forgot about this forum. Now that is not as busy I'm hoping to join again. I was considering just making another account and acting like I forgot this one existed, so I didn't embarrass myself, but I don't want to break the rules. Im not even sure if this counts as me asking for my character to be re-activated because i never got to doing my purchase log. My character sheet was approved, though.
