Character history: Erik Vrell was born to a poor peasant family in a small, superstitious village. At a young age he discovered his psychic potential and was nearly burned at the stake because of this, but was saved by two members from a sect of psychic users who wanted to recruit him. He went with them and developed his abilities amazingly quickly. By the time he was ten he could rival the weaker elders of the sect. He also discovered a love for reading the books in the library, which housed several books containing knowledge forbidden to outsiders. After years of study and learning, he knew all the secrets the sect had to offer. He was devastated when he realised that there was nothing else for him to learn until, one day, while he was scouring the library for any books he had missed, he was blinded by a flash of light and felt himself falling. He fell unconscious before long and woke up in a void, accompanied only by a grinning silhouette. It spoke, saying

“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Omni handed Erik a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

The next thing Erik knew was he was sitting in front of a fountain in a blank white landscape. Erik was confused and disoriented but he didn't care. His life had meaning again. There were new secrets to uncover and more truths to seek. He was ready for the omniverse.

Physical description: Erik is five foot seven with a pointed chin, unpronounced cheekbones, medium length brown hair and blue eyes. He is a thin and scrawny man without much muscle on him. He usually wears a blue cloak with gold trim.

Starting moves(600): Psi Blades(300) (Physical Strength) Erik manifests two ethereal purple blades that do average damage. The blades can pass through physical weapons and armour but cannot block, leaving Erik defenceless while using them.

Psi Wall(300) (Area Shield Proficiency) Erik creates a wall of purple energy three feet in front of him which will block most forms of attack. Erik cannot move or use Psi Blades while using Psi Wall and can only place the wall in front of him, leaving him open from behind.

Overview:
Freedom and Security sit on a scale. The more freedom a society has, the less secure they are. From the right to bear weaponry, to even as simple a freedom as being able to worship as one chooses, each gives rise to hate, fear, theft, and death. The LAW seeks to take away the freedoms of the Omniverse in order to give the people the peace, prosperity, and happiness they so rightly deserve. In the world we seek to create, the buses would always run on time, there would be no hunger, healthcare would be efficient and free, and no door would need to be locked for fear of intruders. None would need fear the LAW, unless they were unable to comply with our guidelines. For, the punishment for nonconformity, is death.

Politics… What a waste. A bunch of men and women bickering about nothing at all and thus nothing ever gets done. They quarrel over petty differences, and thus the people suffer. There would be no politics in an Omniverse run by the LAW. There would simply be order. Progress. True peace. There are some who would call us dictators. Tyrants. They would say our iron hand is clenched to tightly on the throats of the masses. To these naysayers, I retort: We are not tyrants. We’re visionaries. We’re the saviors of this Omniverse and its inhabitants. The LAW is a Communist organization; we believe that all work done by our citizens should allow them to live in comfort and health. No citizen of the LAW need worry that one man, or woman, is getting more than they. All will be as equals in the LAW.

Nothing less than the total and complete conquest of the Omniverse will satisfy us. Nothing less than the overthrow of Omni and his disastrous methods will suffice. Only when we have united the Omniverse can a true age of prosperity begin.

Bring order and LAW to the TWNN and the surrounding area.

Some OOC notes:
Members are free (and encouraged) to pursue their own goals, as long as said goals don't interfere with the Faction goal of taking control of the Omniverse. And, as a note, there is no "leader" in this group. Individual roleplayers, however, are free to "subjugate" themselves to another Faction member if they feel it suits the story they want to write.

So, I was thinking about this earlier and I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

In the Hunger Games (which is pretty similar to DA), contestants can get "sponsored" which allows them to receive useful items such as medical supplies and the like during the Games. Usually this occurs with "fan favorites" and the like. My idea was, what if we brought something like this to the Abyss? The way I see it working is:

At the beginning of every phase, Karl sets up a voting thread. The choices in that thread will be those who are in the worse shape as of the end of the last phase (least HP left, least SP left). People NOT in DA can vote for which one they think should get some help. That person would receive an item that would give them an immediate 1 or 2 HP or 1 SP. The voting will last until the end of that phase, and at the beginning of the next, the winner will receive his or her boost.

This might be something that would need to wait until this event comes back around, but I figure there's no harm in discussing it now. And who knows? Maybe Karl will like the idea and implement it.

It’s been twenty four hours and nearly twenty percent of you are dead. Congratulations! Let’s start with the fallen…
