Quote:Following the events of As Long as You Interest Me and Concept of the Hollow Man
Dante found his senses temporarily overwhelmed with the absolute light that replaced his spirit realm. As he relented his hand used to shield his eyes from the sudden shift into brightness, the devil hunter found himself in a familiar site: the expanse of the Nexus, before the Fountain. A cascade of four streams from a spout in the raised bowl fell away into the pool below it, in an endless display of classical fanciness. So, the fountain did change shapes...
Something seemed strange, however. The virulent haze that covered the Nexus, for one- no, it was just his fogged vision. Yet it, and the gradient of shadow creeping at the edges of his sight, struck more as supernatural for Dante. This was where he had been brought into the Omniverse, yes, but it did not feel like he was there. It bore the sensation of an out-of-body experience, except the half-blood's extremities were still very much attached to him.
"Guess I just have to wait a little longer, then." The voice surrounded him, but not physically- a resounding in Dante's head, as he had gotten accustomed to prior with the Hollow's nuisances. "It's not like I'm going anywhere. Eventually, we'll meet again. One way or another."
But next time, I'll be ready.
The Son of Sparda directed his focus forward, leaning forth as if he intended to break through some invisible barrier. A moment passed, and several more followed it, and only after that did Dante tear away the shroud cloaking his existence. Fully materializing, the mercenary lost his balance, stumbling forward several steps before he fell to his hands and knees at the base of the fountain.
Any evidence of the torture he had been put through in the past week had ceased to exist. Not a single trace of a wound remained, not a spot of blood outside of the man's body. The clothes coating his body in black and red were fresh and whole, as if they were made flawlessly moments before. Dragging himself to the stone lip of the pool, Dante saw that even his skin showed a brighter color than when had first come here. His silvery hair, too, showed only a slight trussing from its apparent groomed state due to his tripping over himself. Perhaps most importantly were the comforting heft of the guns at his belt and the blade at his back- a sensation the hunter had come to miss throughout his ordeal upon Teucer's island.
There existed a certain surreal nature to changing into a fresh set of clothes after going through a devastating experience. Something about looking so restored on the outside, as if whatever you had gone through had never even happened - and yet, you could remember that it did, however vividly. Dante had learned that it was important to remember the situations fate forced him through, however injuring; if such memories brought trauma, then to forget would be to deny they ever happened, that you changed as a result.
Dante plucked himself from the ground, stand up straight after having spent so long in physical anguish. He inhaled the light mist from the fountain's spray, exhaling a deep breath after a couple of seconds. As if he would have a hard time forgetting his own darkness, animated within him. Still, Dante had some more pressing things to be concerned over at the moment.
It looked more and more like the Pale Moors were going to be his home for the next few days.

Blues limped towards the palace, donning the armor of the fallen Hero. His body aching but he knew his quest was over. The porcelain steps felt like mountains as his legs felt as if they could move no more. He couldn’t help but smile that his journey has come to an end and that the bloodshed will finally cease. He finally got to the top of the steps and saw the fog wall that barred himself from Teucer who was finally going to be free. He put his hand up to the fog wall and the air molded around his armored body. The familiar sight of the inside of the temple welcomed him.
However, his expectations of Teucer welcoming him and thanking him for his hard work would not come true. He looked towards the pedestal and saw Teucer flinging sparks of magic at the all too familiar purple apparition. The Warlock’s form was staticy and seemed to patch in and out of this world. The two were permanently engaged in combat, with the fake hope that their own magic would overcome the others. Teucer turned his head to see Blues standing their with all the relics collected.
“Great! Hero-”He grunted as he was starting to get pushed back by the Warlock’s overwhelming force. “Here! This will help you. Capture his soul and you will all be set free. All you need to do is contact his body with that stone. ” He released one hand from channeling magic to allow a small portal to open above Blues. A small clear crystal opened above him as Teucer was flung back and forced to concentrate on forcing Aka back.
The Warlock turned it’s head towards Blues. “Do not listen to him, he is deceiving you. He wishes to possess your body and return to life. Why else would he encourage such violence on your part? You have been deemed the strongest of those he brought here. Capture his soul instead!” The Warlock grunted as his magic was being pushed back.
Teucer protested, “He’s lying to you hero! Please choose soon!” The two Spirits fought waiting for Blues to do something.
Quote: Proto Man now has three options to choose from to determine his relic/the ending.
Proto Man can assist Teucer and capture The Warlock’s Soul. He will receive the artefact “The Soul Gem of the Warlock”
Proto can assist the Warlock and capture Teucer’s Soul. He will receive the artefact “The Soul Gem of the Hero.”
Proto can choose neither option and destroy the armor killing both Spirits. This will result no artefact being formed.
The Soul Gem of the Warlock- Whenever a super move is targeted towards you, you may use the Artefact to challenge that super move with an equal tier super move. The artefact glows and many bright orbs appear above your head before flying towards the opponent. Cost 0 SP can be used once per battle.
The Soul Gem of the Hero- Doubles regenerative abilities through natural causes, OM use, powers, and SP use.

Back to square one I guess.
The blank canvas of the Nexus stretched around Somerled once again, as white and featureless as ever, save for the small dots of the gates off in the distance, and other, smaller dots milling about all over the place. Though they were sort of moving about, they were getting nowhere fast, for the most part, so the sun spirit thought they were probably people he hadn’t noticed before. People off doing their own thing and what not, who knows, maybe a few of them were new Primes as confused as he had been a week ago.
Somerled pushed himself up off the ground from where he had been sitting, with much more speed and force than he needed to use. Whatever was going through the sun spirit’s mind was unknown to Sonny, but he could already tell it wasn’t good news. Sighing with his nonexistent mouth, he prepared for the worst. Thoughts were perfectly fine, provided he kept them there, but Sonny doubted his other half would. No, there was a high chance those emotions would become action that he’d need to scold his other half for it later, along with the myriad of massive fuck-ups he had during their little adventure on whatever that island was.
“Hey, Prime!” words barked out from behind the monster, and the barely-visible dots on the horizon disappeared, consumed by the white blur as he swirled their shared vision around. Just around the fountain, which was now a great stone celtic cross, a pair of figures swung into view, and stopped center in his sight. The monster’s gaze settled upon them, silent and intense, not so much as a sound escaping him.
Ah shit.
There was really only one thing that could come of this, the sun spirit knew. Unless their brief stint in the land of the dead caused his other half to have a sudden and miraculous change of heart, a change that not even the Old Gods themselves could inspire in him, whatever was coming would be very sudden and violent, and most likely all over the place.
The figures in front of him, clad in some sort of white and black futuristic looking armor, shouted some sort of order at Somerled. Said order was drowned out in its entirety by a furious scream, and with as much haste as they could muster, they brought their weapons to bear. Black and dully gleaming in the ubiquitous light, they absolutely reeked of danger, especially to a monster whose demise was brought about by guns. Even with their rush, however, they had not drawn fast enough.
Somerled surged forward, his cry already gone, and he slipped just past the barrels of their firearms. A shaky hand shot out from one of the soldiers, trying to find purchase on the monster who’d closed the distance so suddenly. His own hand flew out and met theirs, closing around the wrist like a vice, and suddenly a dull clash of something between plastic and metal filled the air as one body was slammed into the other. The monster released the human bludgeon, and the two soldiers crumpled into a heap on the ground. Instantly, the monster was upon them.
CRACK
Lightning flashed, bright and blinding, as one soldier’s chestpiece was caved in and splattered red with blood from Somerled’s hand. The air now reeked of ozone.
CRACK
Another blast of thunder, and the same soldier’s head twisted much too far to the side. The storm spirit screamed absolute fury at the corpse, letting out unintelligible sounds as he tried to vocalize everything. Beneath the body of his comrade, the second soldier laid deathly still, hoping to avoid drawing the ire of the unholy abomination that screeched above him.
Brilliant red lights screeched past, flying from where the monster’s body also happened to be. His vision blurred and shook, his left eye taken entirely out as the laser burned through his skull. Somerled slouched forward, still as he could be, as the guns silenced themselves. The hush lasted for no more than a few moments, before being broken by the monster drawing in a powerful breath.
WHOOSH
A chilled wind rushed out from his body, and the monster was suddenly a few feet to the left. More shots whistled out from the soldiers weapons towards where he used to be, haphazard and panicky, as they shouted frightened nonsense, their vision snuffed out. New screaming exploded into existence, their lasers burning into the soldier stuck beneath his comrade’s corpse. Fatally wounded, it wouldn’t be long before his shouts of pain would fade away.
Somerled whirled around, three more soldiers sliding into view, and halted his spin with a firm stomp. Attracted by the powerful thump, the soldiers swiveled towards him, and unleashed their neon fury upon the sound. The monster, one step ahead of them, catapulted himself forward with the same step that drew their attention, and came to a stop just to the left of the group. His burst was punctuated with yet another stomp, and still blind, the soldiers spun again.
White filled the sun spirit’s vision as Somerled dropped to the ground, catching himself silently, but clumsily, some level of awareness hidden behind his rage. Blood, barely seeping out from the monster’s shaking, mangled hands, stained the ground as the laser light show raged above him. No longer than a second had past before the whistling of the weaponized plasma ceased, replaced moments later by two dull thuds.
The monster sprung to his feet, and met the gaze of the last soldier alive. Four bodies lay scattered about the area, one felled by Somerled’s hand, the other three burned through with their own bolts. Though he couldn’t see nor feel it, Sonny was quite sure that Somerled’s mouth was sporting his usual, terrifying grin as he stared down the last enemy alive. One hand lifted up, slowly and deliberately, and the monster tapped his forehead, right between his eyes, challenging the soldier to shoot right there.
A single shot whistled out, a deadly, glowing projectile fired with near perfect accuracy, and Sonny’s vision shuddered. The sickening scent of scorched flesh now completely suffused the air, inescapable with the two new holes in Somerled’s head. Giggles escaped the monster, as menacing as the smile on his face, a small laugh which quickly escalated into a full blown cackle as he surged forward. The lone soldier, perhaps guided by his training, never screamed as the monster’s hand closed around his throat.
Well that’s enough of that.
Sonny tuned out the extremely gorey sounds of his other half tearing apart the soldier, as he turned his consciousness inwards and concentrated. Magic stirred from Somerled’s body, no doubt noticed by him, and forced outwards. Light stirred and coalesced, at the same time throwing the sun spirit’s consciousness out from his other half’s body, and into the new one he was creating. The veil of light that made up his body drowned out his vision, white light masking the featureless white of the Nexus. Then, everything finally fully formed, his glow slowly faded away. Once his eyes adjusted, the hunched and blood-soaked form of Somerled was revealed to him, holding onto an armored, disembodied hand, and dismembered corpse sitting in front of him.
His hands, shattered by the two lightning-guided strikes he had delivered, were covered in blood, both his own and that of the soldier he had been ripping apart when Sonny had so rudely interrupted him. Four holes that he was not born with were seared through his body, one took out his left eye, one clean through his upper forehead, one center through his gut, and one which had clipped his chest. Each wound, big enough to fit a thumb through, had been cauterized by the plasma shots that had created them. That didn’t stop the injuries from releasing mist, however, as dead and useless flesh and blood dissolved away into the air. The skirmish, having been more of a slaughter by the hands of a raging monster than an actual, left his clothes incredibly intact. The few holes it had corresponded with the wounds he had received. They were, however, blood-stained beyond belief.
“You look like shit,” the sun spirit said bluntly, gingerly stepping over a corpse as he made his way slowly towards his other half.
“So do you,” he growled, voice hoarse and unsteady, pointing out what Sonny had expected. Somerled’s injuries had carried over to his own body. “Stop doing this shit, it gives me a migraine.” The monster straightened up, words absolutely dripping with venom. This shit, of course, being the sun spirit creating his own body. There was no doubt in his mind that Somerled wasn’t ready to cease his tantrum yet, simply putting it on pause because of Sonny’s intervention, an omen that never boded well for the storm spirit.
“This shit was entirely necessary,” Sonny shot back, his own voice starting to match Somerled’s in emotion. “I would have intervened sooner had you not attacked these soldiers so rashly.”
“So?” the response came in the form of a shout, the monster pushing himself up into Sonny’s face. “They deserved to die!”
“For what? For fucking being there? For rounding the corner at the wrong time? You’re the one who brought on your death, not them! If you hadn’t been so fucking irrational and gods damned impulsive, you wouldn’t have ran into that clusterfuck and expected me to bail you out!” His words rang out into the stale air, hanging there for a moment as he regained his breath.
“That’s not-”
“That’s what you always do,” Sonny’s shout drowned out Somerled’s easily. “You fucking pull shit like that all the gods damned time! Guess what? You don’t always have the comfort of diplomacy. I talked the Council out of killing you for a long-ass time, but you can’t talk your way out of a psychopath with a chainsaw. Just ask these soldiers,” he gestured to the crumpled, white-armored figures littering the ground. “Could any level of smooth-talking get them out of this? Fuck. No.”
“That’s not what this is about!” Somerled barked, his voice powerful but not loud.
“It doesn’t change the fact that you fucked up,” the sun spirit retorted. “You melodramatic piece of cactus cock. Three fucking days is nothing to you! That wasn’t your hunger taking over you, that was you throwing a tantrum because you couldn’t eat the two humans. All those wishes that I was the one involved? Blatant. Fucking. Lies. I can guarantee that if I was actually the one chosen, we would still be here, and you’d be complaining your ass off that I got to do all the exciting shit while you were the one trapped.”
“You’re completely forgetting something!” Somerled took the chance Sonny’s pause for breath created.
“What could possibly be more important than escaping this hell!?”
“Kasumi!” The monster’s voice rang out over the blank Nexus, silencing his other half. Sonny remained rigid in the silence for a few seconds, before letting out a heavy sigh, and stepping back. “We’ve been dragged here and she’s been left alone and how could I have forgotten about her?” Somerled stepped back as well, mutilated hands ruffling his hair as he began pacing. “I knew there was a gap in my memory but I didn’t bother trying to uncover it. Now she’s been back home for at least a week and I’m not there but both the Council forces and the squirrel are.”
“The Council has nothing against her,” Sonny responded quietly, hoping to assuage some of his paranoia. “Just like they had nothing against me. They’ll leave her out of it. And you know as well as I do that Chip wouldn’t harm her. His only grudge was against you. Hell, he met her before you and she came back unharmed.”
“But what about others?” His voice was strained and panicked. There would be no end to his paranoia, the sun spirit thought. No matter what he said, Somerled would keep on being anxious. It didn’t matter that she was a monster like him, that the Council or possibly even the GoN could have taken her under their protection. Unless she was with the storm spirit, he would panic. Sonny sighed once again, and quickly stepped towards his other half.
“Sorry about this.” The sun spirit’s hand, as mangled as Somerled’s, shot out and pressed onto his other half’s face, and forced him to his knees. Quickly, the storm spirit’s body began dissolving, starting with the extremities, into mist, and flowed towards Sonny. The dissolving monster could only thrash violently for the few seconds it took to vanish, soon becoming the trapped consciousness that the sun spirit had once been. “I know tha- WHY THE FU-”
Sonny’s attempt at an explanation was, unsurprisingly, cut off by his other half’s rage. As he doubled over in a fit of violent coughing, he wondered why he had even bothered to try and get through. He really should have seen something like that coming. Hell, he’d been the source of it several times, and he considered himself much calmer that his other half.
Fortunately, since the fit was only caused only by the stress of trying to say two things at once, it subsided quickly enough. Hoping that was enough deterrent to keep his other half silent for long enough, the sun spirit launched into his justification.
“Yes, that was hasty.” Though it had subsided quickly, it left a catch in his throat, and his voice came out raspy. “No, I won’t forget or disregard Kasumi. She means a lot to you, but we won’t get anywhere if you just... be you. I’ll figure something out, just don’t fuck it up.” They were harsh words, but he hoped it would persuade Somerled to be silent for a while. Honestly, Sonny wasn’t quite confident in the storm spirit not fucking whatever their plans would end up being.
For now though, the lack of outrage spewing from his own mouth was good enough, and Sonny slowly lowered himself to a sitting position. In order to get to one of the gates in any reasonable amount of time, he’d need to create a mount of some sort, and truth be told, he sort of wanted to try out that whip given to Somerled during his little adventure. With that in mind, the sun spirit crossed his legs and began concentrating.
Minutes passed, and with it, the rainbow coalescence had become two items useful for achieving whatever he would set out to do next. First, the bullwhip, exactly like the one his other half had used earlier. A three meter long, musically enhanced tool made of kangaroo hide. An item which would be vitally important to their end goal. And the second, a generic brown horse with a saddle, something significantly less useful. With these now created, Sonny pushed himself back to his feet, and strapped the whip to his side with as much grace and speed as a single-eyed, mangle-handed monster lacking a sense of touch could. It was an effort that took longer than the creation of the weapon itself, but eventually it was finished, and the sun spirit saddled up.
Wordlessly, he spurred the chestnut beast into action, steering it towards a random gate and hoping for the best. Behind them, the scene of destruction remained. The corpses of the soldiers would be quite the surprise for the next group or individual to pass the fountain, an unsettling and bewildering picture. Two dead from an outsider, three from their own comrades. Sonny briefly wished that he had intervened sooner. He perhaps could have gotten some information from one of them, and would know where to start. For now, he’d just have to make do with the nothing he had, and hope for the best. Perhaps the gate of well-cut stone he was making towards would have some answers.

Character name: Mettaton
Character source: Undertale
Character history: He's being pulled from Genocide. For my full (read: overly detailed) history, here is a link. Because it's like... 1500 words and aint nobody got time for that on an app thread.
Physical Description: sexy rectangle & hot leg
Stats:
ATK: 1
DEF: 5
SPD: 1
TEC: 3
Well, uh. He's a metal rectangle... His metal plating is unusual in the fact that it's not only as solid as regular metal, it's magically enforced as well. Regular, physical attacks and weapons most often bounce off of it. Notably, magic can injure him in this form just fine, as it would hit his SOUL as opposed to his plating. As for everything else, well, he's quite average. Naturally, as a monster, he'd rather use magic than physical attacks if he can get away with it, since it's his main advantage above humans. When it comes to his speed, well... He can roll along the ground on his wheel at around average human speed, but anything faster would probably cause him to fall flat due to his awkward top-heaviness.
Starting Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000 OM), Ranged Materialize Proficiency (600 OM), Area Attack Proficiency (600 OM)
Running total OM: 2200
Starting Powers:
Alternate form (2000 OM).
ATK: 2
DEF: 1
SPD: 3
TEC: 4
Obviously referring to his always charismatic EX Form, linked above. In Alphys's words, it makes him, "Uh... Vulnerable." Lacking his thicker metal casing, his defense falls to average levels. On the bright side, his more humanoid form allows him far more dexterity than being a rectangle, as well as having actual legs making it easier for him to balance and move about more freely than on a motorized wheel. You'd be surprised at how good the man is at walking/running in heels. Finally, said stiletto heels would theoretically make any physical attacks (in the form of kicks, at least) far more painful to suffer... And sharp. However, taking this form exerts far more stress on his battery than being a rectangle, as it's far more complicated to control. So if he wants to use it often, he needs to find a convenient and safe way of recharging.
Running total OM: 2200+2000= 4200
Starting Moves:
300 OM: "Even this attack is...!" (Req. Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency)
To end his sentence for him, Bombs. He always carries a goodly supply of them on his person. Each is around the size of a small apple and is about as dense as a golf ball, so with a little effort, you could hold two in one hand. Hence, he could probably throw up to two sets of two in rapid succession before needing to pause a few seconds to get more. How far he actually can throw them depends a bit on the form he's in's TEC, but tends to be about 30 feet before his accuracy suffers, and a max of around 50. They detonate after about a half-second pause when they are hit with a sufficient amount of force, either from an impact or colliding with any sort of attack. Mettaton's bombs are not particularly deadly, as their magical blasts are easily blocked by solid objects. It's pretty unlikely they could ever kill someone, as their damage is minimal. Their blast is quite wide for bombs so small, though- probably around 10-15 feet in diameter. They're most effectively used to take multiple enemies off guard. They're actually quite standard explosives, though they use magical energy similar to that produced by the CORE as opposed to normal pyrotechnics. So, yes, they could potentially be thrown back at him.
300 OM: "But how are you on the Dancefloor?" (Req. Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency)
Mettaton summons what can only be described as "laser-shooting disco balls". They're around two feet in diameter each, made of typical disco ball materials (read: glass and plastic), and he can summon up to two. But he usually limits it to one, for the sake of his battery. It takes him a couple seconds standing still to channel, generally long enough for him to make some sassy comment about his opponent's rhythmical talents. They can appear anywhere within a fifteen foot radius of Mettaton himself. Firing the lasers takes about a second of delay after the disco balls are summoned, and they turn slightly at varying speeds (but never more often than every half second.) The lasers that do shoot from the disco balls hurt far more than his bombs do and have about the same range at 15 feet, but they also follow a predictable rhythm when rotating and turning on and off. They always come in sets of three, in about a 90 degree cone. So they are fairly easy to dodge to those with high TEC who can out think them, or those with high SPD who can just get out of the way. The attack lasts for around ten seconds. But it can also be dispelled by smashing the disco balls themselves with an attack, as they are pretty much just normal glass.
Running total OM: 4200+600= 4800
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct. yepperoni pizza

(Continued from "McNinja Doesn't Steal Panties")
"And who might you be?"
Doc tried to smile. "I'm Dr. McNinja. Uh... general physician. I uh..."
Dr. McNinja lifted his right hand. His wrist was currently bent backwards approximately fifteen degrees more than was anatomically possible. The nurse rat raised an eyebrow.
"I'm guessing that's not normal."
"No," Doc winced, "Definitely not."
"You need me to look at that?"
"Like I said, I'm a doctor," McNinja shrugged, "I can take care of it."
"Well, it looks like you broke it in a fall," the nurse muttered as she coaxed a patient into opening their mouth, "which means you broke the fall with your right hand. I'll assume, therefore, that you're right-handed. Unless you want to perform a two-handed operation on yourself with only your bad hand..."
Dr. McNinja shrugged, impressed. "Nice diagnosis. But I can handle myself."
The rat rolled her eyes. "You're suspicious because I'm ratfolk?"
"What?"
"Don't worry, I don't shed fur all over the place," the nurse grumbled, "I follow standard medical protocol... Well, as much as I can, anyhow, with the resources available."
"No, no, that's not what I'm- I'm not accusing you of anything! I've honestly seen stranger! I once drank orange juice and it brought me back to life! My secretary is a gorilla! And Judy, well, Judy can be more professional than me. I just... I know some tricks."
The nurse smirked. "I think I got you beat in that area."
"Um... no," Dr. McNinja chuckled, "I definitely have more tricks."
"Really?" the nurse snatched a stained bottle from a nearby shelf and handed it to a strange bunny-sock-doll-with-legs creature which scurried away. "Did you know, for instance, that you could inject the blood of a basilisk into your wrist to set an internal cast which-"
"Oh, don't be so barbaric," Doc scoffed, "Everybody knows the best way to regenerate any part of the body is to isolate it by turning it into its own life form."
"And how, might I ask, would you accomplish this?"
"Simple," Doc said, resting his broken wrist on a nearby table, "Lifeweed."
"Lifeweed?" the nurse laughed, "And run the risk of your hand severing itself from your arm?"
"I'd rather run the risk of that than the risk of petrifying my internal organs."
"Basilisk blood can't petrify you," the nurse said, handing a bird-boy creature some pills.
"If you were to digest it while you weren't petrified," Doc snapped, "basilisk blood has a high chance of doing just that. It wouldn't petrify anything else, just your innards and veins, leaving everything else still-"
"Watch your tone, you amateur," the rat scowled as she spoon-fed a nearby Pokemon, "And you of all people, I would think think, should've heard about the petrification vaccine. It's quite revolutionary. It sends signals of petrification to petratoxic bacteria, tricking the bacteria into mollifying the body instead."
"But that would counteract the bone repair, wouldn't it?"
"Don't be silly. You isolate the fracture with a simple Neo-Gothic Architecture Maneuver."
Dr. McNinja wanted to retort in some way, but it was true. Now that he thought about it, Doc realized that the quickest way to fix a small bone fracture would be to inject basilisk blood into the marrow. He had always avoided it, even when he had basilisk blood handy, because the risk of killing someone was too great. But if you had such a miraculous vaccine handy somewhere... In a place like the Omniverse, one might. But frankly, he was more fascinated that this nurse seemed to know about supernatural medicinal practices almost as well as he did, including the notoriously difficult Neo-Gothic Architecture Maneuver.
"What's your name?" Doc asked.
"Matilda Waltz," the rat answered, "I'm the nurse practitioner in Ambrosia."
"Nice to meet you," Dr. McNinja said. He stuck out his right hand to shake Matilda's. Matilda frowned and stared at the outstretched limb.
"Wasn't that broken just a moment ago?"
"Ninja tricks."
Matilda rolled her eyes. "I should've known."
"Probably. I'm not exactly hiding it," Doc teased, "Listen, I was looking for a place to set up my own practice, but I quite like this place already. Could I stay here for a bit longer?"
Matilda squinted. "You trying to drive me out of my own business, boy?"
"No, no, no," Doc assured her, "Just... work together. You're not exactly drowning in helpers."
Nurse Matilda glanced around the medical tent. Dr. McNinja was right. The only thing in excess around here were the people who kept "feeling icky". She could certainly use another professional on par with her skills.
"Fine," the rat sighed, "But first, you'll have to be naturalized by Princess Guu... or whoever is acting leader, now that she's gone."
Doc nodded and left the tent, shouted back, "I'll see you in a bit!"
Dr. McNinja disappeared onto the streets, leaving Nurse Matilda very, very confused. But she decided to not question it. After all, this was a great opportunity. Finally, someone else with her level of medical expertise to take care of the people here.
"I might even get a weekend off, now," Matilda dreamed.
