Hi,

I was just wondering if I could switch out my proficiency to Ranged? I haven't made any moves that need Physical Strength, and for the life of me can not remember why I chose Physical Strength as my proficiency to begin with. Also, I know that I need a move when I take Ranged, so should I just post the Move(s) in the Move Approval thread?

Hey, so I got approved for the Recognition Bonus, but I never got my 500 OM reward for it, or at least it doesn't appear in my Purchases Log. Just a little oversight, I think!

I also never got my Fortnightly Gains for 21st-5th, even though I posted in there.

Character history: Loki Laufeyson is the son of Laufey, the ruler of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, but shortly after his birth, he was abandoned and left to die. Found by the Asgardian King Odin, Loki was raised by the King and his wife, Frigga, as an Asgardian Prince, along with their biological son Thor. When he grew up, he became known as the God of Mischief.

When Loki learned the truth of his true origins, he devised a plan to have Thor banished, leaving him next in line for the throne of Asgard. The first part of his plan worked well, but he was ultimately foiled by his brother and the Warriors Three. Lost in the universe, Loki struck a deal with The Other, a servant of Thanos, gaining him command over their army of Chitauri, in an attempt to conquer Earth. 

Upon his arrival, Loki managed to take the Tesseract into his possession, however his plans were foiled once again by his brother and his allies, the Avengers. Thor moved to return Loki to Asgard, to pay for his crimes against the Humans, however, only Thor returned to his home, Loki had slipped through his fingers once again, thrown through space and time to another universe.

A light blue bolt of pure, destructive energy, fired from the gem held within the Chitauri Scepter. The minimum time required to fire one of the blasts is roughly half a second, without aiming. Once fired, it travels up to 20 foot at around the same speed as an arrow and is around a foot in diameter. The energy blasts are also capable of being charge for a maximum for 5 seconds, affecting the overall strength of the blast.  

Illusion Manipulation - Tier 1 Defensive Super Move - Requires Ranged Materialize, Stealth, Remote Control (600)
Loki summons an exact clone of himself that remains stationary in the exact position Loki was in, he then dissipates from view in the same moment, leaving his clone to take the damage. The clone and disappearing happen in the same instant, the clone is summoned instantly and remains in place for a total of 5 seconds, or until any damage is taken. Loki reappears as soon as his clone is destroyed. This ability is rather exhausting and cannot be used in quick succession. (Shown through SP)

I had an idea for a fodder move, regarding Loki's scepter and the mind control ability. Would it be possible to use the mind control with strict OOC permissions from the target, it would be unusable in combat as it requires Loki to concentrate on his target(s) for the duration. Just thought with now real use for combat (which Loki would be involved in) it wouldn't require a purchase. As for strict OOC permissions, anything that Loki would have the target do would be discussed and all the details would be given. If it's deemed too OP or would require an OM spend I'll through it in the move creation workshop at a later date.

So my friend reintroduced me to this MMO, because I didn't know that they were giving it an English release. I had thought that it was only in foreign languages, so I didn't look at it after initially hearing about it. 

So we started playing and, as usual, he leaves me behind. So now I need people to play with... Anyone interested?

Caira- hmm. For her I think my writing style is a bit more in depth, as I try to show the reader how she is contemplating the justice of her ongoing decisions.

My progress: i would say since I started about a year and a third ago, I'm a completely different person than who I was when I began. I still love writing as her character, but I also feel the need to express my own personal growth through her, because she's based off of some traits I value personally. Currently I'm hoping Omni/OV stuff will help.

Gildarts: it's almost our 1 year anniversary - 2 days from now!

I think I've changed a lot since I originally wrote him too. He's grown on me in more ways than one, but I DONT want to see this character change. Sure he can progress, and continue to make a name for himself Omni-world wide, but he's a canon character, and I think if I tried to change him drastically I'd be compromising to who he is and more specifically, who he means to me.

Seventeen stumbled his way through the white land.  Despite being alive, he felt increasingly sluggish with almost every single step he took.
 
The hell is this place!
 
The cyborg held back a frown as he paused and look at what lay before him.  He was about a mile, mile and a half from the fountain, and in front of him, he could spot at least three grayish walls on the horizon.
 
Not walls... The center was a different color. Doors? Passageway?
 
While his muscles were still stiff, the machine-hybrid managed to traverse the last mile or so that separated him from the door-looking shape.  As he drew closer, he could confirm his suspicion that he was looking at a big old archway.  Dull gray stone outlined an area that seemed to shimmer as he drew closer to it.  With a faint smile, he walked up to the arch and started to reach out toward the wavering white wall.  He stopped right before his fingers brushed against the surface and paused for a thought.
 
What’s the worst that can happen?
 
“I mean, Death Number 8 probably won’t be any worse than the first three.”
 
Wait, does the last one count? The thought made the young man twist up his lips and furrow his brow.  Technically, he’d resigned himself to oblivion, but there hadn’t been that wonderful split-second burst of horrifying, skull-splitting agony that usually came before the darkness.  Then again, the prospect of being able to make a lot of ‘nine lives’ jokes probably would make any accidental death worth the cost.
 
So the man leaned forward and let his hand touch the surface.  Upon impact, it met no resistance and passed through to whatever lay on the other side.
 
Can still feel it. Seventeen wiggled the fingers he couldn’t see and grinned at the familiar sensation of skin brushing against skin.  After clutching his bony digits into a fist, he stepped through whatever the wall was made out of and into whatever lay beyond it.
 
At once, the machine-hybrid’s eyes and nose were assaulted by a mixture of sulfur and ash.  A forearm moved over the top half of his visage as his other hand clamped over his mouth and nose.  For a few moments, he just stood there as the new environment washed over him—dousing him in whatever unnatural blend of dust and particulate floated in the air.  When he finally dropped his arm and hand, he found himself partially amused by the scene in front of him.
 
Hell?
 
All the tropes were there:  Active volcanoes, lava-filled cracks in the ground, and a black-red skyline that could fill any sinner with instant regret.
 
Unfortunately, the artist here was missing some of the details.  Hell was a little darker than this place, and there was just a little more red involved in the equation.  If this was supposed to be the Underworld, it was the poor man’s edition.
 
In the cyborg’s head, words that didn’t belong to his thoughts passed through. ‘This is not the world you know…’

The dragon was gone—its body crumbled and swallowed in the heart of the dying galaxy.  He’d seen the light fade from the creature’s eyes and knew that it was no more, but despite his satisfaction, he knew that his end was now as well.  The fight had taken everything from him.  Every fleeting grasp of strength had left his scrawny, battered body, and as he watched, the darkness drew him closer.

He’d slain the creature.

He’d won the day…

A faint smile spread across his face as the torn hole in reality reached out for him.  Dying was different, even when you’re already dead in the first place, but what waited for him now was something altogether different.  Was he just going to cease to exist?  Just blink out of existence?

Should he have been scared as he slipped into oblivion?

The smile lingered on his battered visage as the universe he’d known faded into the distance.

He fell.

Memories swirled around him in a blur as the darkness consumed him.  Friends, rivals, strangers… they all came and went in an instant as the world crumbled into pieces.

At the bottom of the blackness, there was a sudden flash of light.  A strange face was in the cyborg’s head, and there were even stranger words that filtered through his head as he fought to regain his senses.

By the time he could move his hands again, he felt the rush of water against his pallid countenance.  Cold, damp water.

Alive?  

Seventeen let out a groan as he lifted his head up out of the water.  Although he was still a little shocked from a combination of frigid water and his continued existence, he could see that he was in a large fountain.  Outside of the fountain, dozens of people were milling around.  Some were having conversations that seemed amicable, while others were engaged in tense standoffs.

Well this is a party.

The man grabbed for the edge of the metal fountain and dragged himself through the water.  Before standing up, he verified that he was still clothed in the tattered remnants of his old attire.  Most of his shirts were just tattered stripes of cloth, but he had been more concerned with the state of his jeans, which were intact enough to keep him modest among strangers.

With a groan, the raven-haired fighter stood up and tried to further assess his situation.  A quick rifle through his pockets revealed nothing, and the little sidebag that usually held the rest of his belongings was gone as well.  The latter made little sense, since he swore he had grabbed something from it just moments before the final sequence of events that had ended his struggle with the Monster.

Seventeen reached behind his back and noted that his scabbard was likewise missing.  He’d lost the sword after the katchin-infused blade shattered against his foe’s skull, but he didn’t recall losing its sheath from its usual spot on his back.

Where am I?

He’d been in the Western Quadrant.  He couldn’t recall the name, but the galaxy had been one devoid of any sentient life.

Then why was he in a fountain surrounded by a few dozen people?

“Hey,” Seventeen replied, reaching a hand for someone standing just a few feet from the fountain.  The person—some kind of strange little person in a heavy coat—turned and looked at him with a furrowed brow.  “Where the hell are we?”

“Nexus.”  The thing replied.  From the tone, they must have thought the half-naked man to be an idiot of some sort.  “Don’t worry, Fountain Fresh, you’ll figure out everything soon enough.  Just try and remember what the white man told you.”

“…White man?”

“Omni.  He spoke to you before you woke up.  Just… think real hard and it’ll come back to you.”

Just like that, the person walked away, leaving a still confused Seventeen to reflect on what had happened.

Well, that and a super sweet new drawing tablet! Aw man, you guys don't even know how sweet it is to FINALLY have a new drawing pad after like 5 years of having an unusable one! And guess what! Here we have concept art of Granite. Two busts, one being from the side, and a small drawing of the scene where Cat gives Granite the Omnitruth. I drew this picture using Fresh Paint, I found it to be far more forgiving than MS Paint and far less complicated than Gimp.




Here we have a drawing of Cat and my rendition of JasonRen. I had some trouble with the scale, so it certainly isn't drawn to scale. And I coudn't edit/erase any guide lines once I exited out of the photo, so it's still messy. But I'm still proud of this picture!


This picture was made as a joke for Akame (CondomFox/Amber Veritz/Princess Dawny Doo) and as a thanks for being to first person acknowledge my existance. Basically, she called me 'Shark bait'. So I drew Granite being used by Akame as shark bait. This photo was drawn in Paint.net, and I am perfectly satisfied with this program. It's everything I could have asked for!
