Torn sat on the other edge of a communicator line with his old associate and friend, Jak. He was able to contact Jak easily by Daxter giving him the number to Jak's communicator/dataverse device.
Torn stood up crossing his arms and nodded "Jak, you hear me from here?"
Jak eyed the communicator and nodded "Torn, of course I do..."
Torn grunted almost seriously "Well then, let me get down to business. The F-zero races are dangerous.. Not fit for secondaries, so if you take Daxter and he... disappears, Don't blame me. I warned you once."
Jak growled "Tell me something I don't know, Torn. I'm here with Eric.. "
"You mean.. that guy from New Babylon..". Be careful, Jak...
Jak was quiet and closed his eyes "New..babylon is .. none of my damn concern right now.."
Torn remained silent only for a few seconds "I'm sorry Jak, i shouldn't of brought that up.. Listen.. let all of us help... Daxter and Cat offered to help us... I can get us some valuable information.
"We'll be a team again, Mar."
Jak eyed the communicator and said "Let me think about it. I'll ask Erik about it. He'll have to meet you guys before we go to start building cars for the f-zero races."
Torn frowned as he hid himself in a quieter part of the bar and said "Listen to me, Just be damn careful out there, Jak. I don't know who you are up against this time out there and there could be a fate worse than poisoning out there waiting for all of us."

The gunsmith stood at the end of the grand hallway, hands behind his back and staring directly at the entrance. On both sides of the hallway were large, golden pillars that shone as brightly as the sun, and it was a good thing they did, as the windows next to each one shone no light due to the darkness outside. The inventor didn’t quite know why his partner-in-crime, Chara, wanted to place her castle inside the diseased land of the Pale Moors, especially since it wasn’t exactly close to the Frozen Fields. He could only assume it was because she had some sort of connection to the undead that roamed the land.
He glanced down to his right, seeing the metallic box he had placed down a couple of minutes earlier. With the multi-colored buttons and the antenna, it looked like a fairly normal boombox you would see in a traditional city. It was the blue-colored crystal at the top, sitting upon a pedestal, that differentiated it. He thumbed the controller behind his back, the switch on the device set to “OFF.”
If the others listened to him, then that would soon change.
He looked back towards the entrance as he heard footsteps approach. It was the rest of the Society of Supervillains, walking towards him in a disorganized line. He sighed, shaking his head as he spoke.
“That distance is preferable,” he said, holding his hand up to halt them in their tracks.
The other members promptly stopped, some of them eyeing the machine next to him. Before any of them could ask any questions, however, he paced back and forth similar to how a drill sergeant would pace back and forth between his recruits.
“Some of you are most likely wondering why I called you here,” he said, pausing for a bit before continuing, “I’ve been observing each and every one of us during our time together. For a couple of calendar months, to be exact. What I have seen has made me ponder for an extensive period of time. At first, I thought it was merely my standards and my sense of paranoia, but with a combination of observations and inferences, I have concluded the following..”
He stopped, staring at his “allies.”
“Each of you are commendable fighters…”
He paused, listening to the various sighs and murmurs going on within the group he had called for. He smiled, interrupting them with:
“Alone. Any more than that, and you are nothing.”
Almost immediately, the excited whisperings soon turned into annoyed protests. The gunner brought his gloved hand to his forehead, shaking his head. He didn’t get why his partners had to have such magnificent egos to them. If they wanted to win so badly, why were they so unwilling to work with each other to do it? He had learned the dangers of working alone within the first week of him being in the Omniverse! These jokers had no excuse…
“Enough!” he shouted, silencing the crowd, “I understand my words offend you, but I don’t care. The point is, this is problematic, and if any of you want any chances of success, then you’re going to have to realize that, right now, your teamwork is atrocious.”
“Which is why,” he said, removing his hands from behind his back and where everyone could see, “I am going to teach it to you, as an officer of a gargantuan and perfectly trained military.”
“Before any of you ask, this is a simulation device. I had mister Warren make it for me, so you can thank him for it. In any case, I contacted all of you to see if you can’t learn teamwork. How to play off each other’s strengths and compensate for each other’s weaknesses. I’ve watched you all, and as much as it causes you mental anguish to hear this, we are not a team. We are just a collective of criminals who THINK we are.”
He closed his eyes, his thumb slowly pressing down on the switch of his device.
“If we ARE a team, though…”
As if on cue, the crystal on the machine began to rotate, the multi-colored buttons flashing in a rapid manner. In just a few short moments, the entirety of the hallway began to change form into a large room similar to that of a parking building. Cars of various sizes and colors stood side by side where the pillars were, and the faint sound of police sirens rang out from outside of the building. What truly stood out, however, was the fire. The entire room was covered in flames, with two large splotches in particular blocking off the exits for both Ballad and the SoSV members. The gunsmith himself had already placed his device inside his belt, pulling out his revolver and his flamethrower.
“Then smiting me will be a simple task.”

Saint Walker was someone Warren wasn't in the most patient of moods for. Having waited atop the mountain/floating island where the individuals were SUPPOSED to teach him magic for about 3 days now, Warren was a bit miffed. There was no more waiting. He simply would not wait any longer because he had things he needed to do. Learning this power meant that he could be prepared. The Empire after all had to fall and that meant he needed more power than he currently had. Of course this power was but one power he planned to obtain for himself. Chances are there were many abilities he didn't have that were obtainable on the various worlds. Each and every last one of those powers was one that Warren was going to claim and actually make his own in order to ensure his own survival. Whatever lessons they were going to teach he would jump to like a fish out of water.
Approaching the individuals, Warren asked.
"Where do I begin to learn magic?"

Character Name: Dan
Character Source: Dan Vs.
Character History:
Dan lived in an exceedingly poorly kept hotel room in California with his pet cat Mr. Mumbles. In every episode of Dan Vs., the world constantly bashes him with a bunch of things loosely related until he gets fed up and takes action against that episode's topic. He has been in jail quite often, and this may be part of if not THE reason why the police no longer take his calls. Dan has severe lactose intolerance, and has to take medication in the case that he accidentally ingests the substance. He keeps a small notebook, "The List," of which he writes down various things of which he intends to enact vengeance upon in the future, and only very rarely erases an item from it if it works along with his plans.
His best and only friend is Chris Pearson, a bit of a push-over with an immense appetite for practically anything. Dan calls upon the aid of Chris whenever he needs help in getting revenge, which is quite often. However, his feelings toward Chris' wife Elise are less than favorable, though they do see eye-to-eye from time to time. Beyond them, Dan doesn't really have many friends as he sees many of the citizens of his home city as troglodytes at best, and whoever he does get close to ends up leaving (like Hortense) or just becomes his enemy (like his neighbors).
Not much is known about Dan's past, though it is quite obvious that his parents were quite neglectful to him as a child. In "Dan Vs. Dan*", Elise's enemy re-programing agents ran away in horror while Dan was describing his childhood. He got a root canal when he was 5, before he even had his baby teeth, and he didn't learn to tie his shoes until the age of 12. He was practically raised on TV because his parents couldn't be bothered, and because of this he has terrible social skills to this day. He first met Chris at a terrible summer camp named "Camp Atrocious," of which Chris believes the name is an understatement. Dan was also pretty popular in High School with all his crazy schemes, though he never realized it at the time.
He enters the Omniverse on a random day sometime after the events of the whole series.
Physical Description:
![[Image: latest?cb=20120924200010]](http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/dan-vs/images/2/29/Dan-dan-vs-20547197-600-398.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120924200010)
Starting Stats:
ATK: 3 - Very violent, physical restraint difficult without sedatives.
DEF: 2 - About as sturdy as a typical human in-universe, easily succumbs to Police force.
SPD: 2 - Same as above, seen chasing a normal kid with relatively similar speed.
TEC: 3 - Is shown to have good accuracy with garbage can lids or hatchets from time to time.
Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength - 1000 OM
Starting Powers:
Foresight - 1500 OM
Starting Moves:
Brass Knuckles - 300 OM
Given to him by his mother, these brass knuckles give his attacks a bit more "punch." The metal around the fingers reaches about 1/4 of an inch thick, and the part that's held fits comfortably in an average-sized human palm. The brass knuckles Dan only owns one set of brass knuckles, which he uses in his right hand.
I have indeed read the rules of conduct.
I attempted to make a separate Dan account for this joining form, however I was not allowed to do so by the forum so I'll use this account instead, if that is fine by the Omnigods.

| Frozen Fields Void Quest Interest Check |
|
Posted by: Amaterasu - 07-25-2016, 02:04 PM - Forum: Omniverse Discussion

Just a clarification at the start: this is intended to be an interest check for a void quest coming further down the line, sometime after the next 4-5 months. If you don't want to plan that far ahead, do move on and/or wait for updates!
In brief, my plan is that Amaterasu finishes the Dwarfholm quest, becoming pals with the dwarves. In their halls she hears some rumors according to which the frozen peaks of the Frozen Fields reach so high that they break through the limits of the verse, and actually poke into the realm of Omni - or something along those lines, anyway. Hearing about it she decides to organize a small party to go find said entrance.
Who could participate? Anyone who meets the requirements below. Amaterasu will ask a few individuals around in Dwarfholm (not necessarily in the halls, so having completed the Dwarfholm quest is not a requirement) and if that's insufficient will attempt to recruit others by the entrance to the Frozen Fields - IC reasons will be established depending on who's participating. I would aim for a small party of 4 people tops as managing a big group would be rather difficult.
REQUIREMENTS:
-You must have at least 10.000 earned OM (1.000 away from level 3): having level 3 to finish the quest is a requirement and while the word requirement is shared among party members, you should still pull your own weight and write ~10.000 words (that's around 1.000 OM) at the very least.
The above has been changed, please refer to the bottom of this post for the updated requirements.
-You shouldn't have anything planned for your character to do for the time where the expedition is set to start (4-5 months from when this thread is posted: 25.07.2016), or if you do you should be willing to adjust your plans. You should also count in ~6-8 months of time where you can dedicate this character to the void quest.
-Have a consistent presence on the site. That's not to say you must be around daily, but poking your head in once every couple of days is preferable. (I'm not counting real-life unexpected interferences, of course. The real world takes priority, always)
-Literacy. As I would prefer people who're able to pull their own weight in an acceptable amount of time so as not to create uncomfortable situations for anyone, consider the following: do you trust yourself with writing 20-40k words for the void quest, 3k words for the Void and then some more when you meet Omni, all with a character who would thus be occupied for 6-8 months of OOC time, possibly more? (note: I am basing my calculus on that every participant writes ~3k words per fortnight and that the void quest requires 30k words to pass => 140 days, nearly 5 months, plus time spent in the Oververse. 3000 words every 14 days is not a hard requirement, but you should aim towards something like that)
Geez Ammy, that's a lot of words! Yep, but the Void Quests are quests requiring a fair amount of dedication. I don't mind going at a slower pace, but that just means that we'll take longer to finish the quest. Keep in mind that 3000 words per fortnight is 215 words per day, which you can write fairly quickly.
I also recommend that you read a little of the posts of whoever may be in the party already, if you feel confident in writing with those people - or on the other hand you're not worried that we may drag you down. Remember that you'll be working with those people for half a year, probably longer, so ask yourself if you're really up to the task.
Finally: while the main way to do this will be first-come-first-served, you can still ask to be put on the waiting list if the party is full. There may be issues for some player who needs to drop out or changes their mind. And of course if anyone else wants to do their own expedition you're welcome to hijack the thread later on, or contact the people who didn't make it.
On another note: if the involved are willing we can organize live-chat meetings through Skype, GDocs or the like, where our characters can interact in a fluid environment. Dialogue ramps up the word count very quickly and live-chat will make you write much more than you realize. I can explain this to you if you're interested!
UPDATE ON REQUIREMENTS
As you may be aware requirements have been changed. Currently the requirement to be able to tackle the Frozen Fields void quest is:
5+ ATK between entire group (may use powered-up stats as basis). Requirement lowered by 1/2/3 if you have a Tier 1/2/3 Super Attack.
8+ SPD and/or DEF between entire group (may use powered-up stats as basis). Requirement lowered by 1 for each Power of any type.
5+ ATK should be met easily: Amaterasu has 3 ATK and a T1 Super Attack, which means that to meet the minimum we only need 1 ATK (and just about everyone has that).
8+ SPD and/or DEF is feasible as well: Amaterasu has 3 SPD, 1 DEF and two Powers (Super Jumping and Master Acrobat), meaning that 2 more SPD and DEF is required to reach the minimum. Most people (save for Demetri) have 1+ DEF so things should be okay.
In total, this means that people with lower level characters can also join in, if they are interested.

Word Limit: N/A
Time Limit: N/A
Damage Meter: N/A
Rounds: 3
Random Elements: Yes
Call system is in place, since it is a group thingy.
You post on the OOC thread to "call" the next post. Then, you have 3 hours to make your post. Once those 3 hours are up, it passes to the next player, then the next player, then the next, etc. Until everyone has posted. Then, we move on to the next round to do the exact same thing. Continues like this until we end the 3rd round and get judged.
Location: Burning Building.

"What's the job?" Mick asks.
"I represent an anti-Imperial revolutionary cell that operates throughout the lower tiers." the employer explains, her voice commanding. "We need someone to...'Repossess' a factory, if you catch my drift. We need you to disable the guards and turn off the power to the factory before we clean the place up."
"What's the payout?" the arsonist inquires, leaning on the wall opposite to her.
"Acceptance into the Rebellion and some Omnilium." she responds. "Not sure just how much, gonna talk to the higher-ups about it."
"I guess I'm on it...Where's the factory?" the hot-blooded Rogue asks. He stops leaning on the wall, and approaches her some.
"Somewhere down at tier 7. It's somewhere to be careful about, though...Not even organized crime thrives there; it's all chaos." her voice shifts to a more hateful tone as she talks about the lowest tier, her face shifting to a scowl. "Nothing but chaos."
"Sounds like my kind of place." Heat Wave responds. This prompts an eye-roll from the employer.
"You might want to make a communicator, too. You can update me on your progress, and tell me when to call in our clean-up crew." she explains. "You're obviously not going to go into a full on rebel comm system just yet, but it'll come in handy."
"So, you'll be playing some sort of mission control?" Mick asks.
"Yeah...I guess so." she responds.
"Probably gonna need your name." Mick says.
"Cassie." Cassie responds. "And you are?"
"Mick." the arsonist responds. "And, while I'm at it, I'm usually with my partner...Leonard Snart."
"I've heard of him. He has done a few jobs around this area." Cassie says. "If he's as good as people say he is at what he does, he'll be in the Rebellion too...Anyway, you should be summoning that communicator."
"Alright..." Mick says. He focuses, creating an object which forms into...An earpiece. "This should work as a communicator, right?"
"Yeah. It'll work fine." Cassie says. "Gonna be honest, I have my own earpiece. Covered by my hair."
In a few minutes, Cassie and Mick's comm pieces are synced together. "Now, hold the button on the side to contact me when you're in the factory." Cassie says.
"Got it." Mick says. He then walks out of the alleyway, and back onto the streets. He sees Snart walking back.
"I found a job for us, Mick." Cold says. "It's simple; the Mattit gang and it's leader, Jason Mattit, had stolen a crucial document from the Archangels. The leader of the Archangels - John Lough - is paying quite a pretty penny for the safe return of the document."
"I found a different job." Heat Wave responds. "Some rebellion wants me to clear out a factory. Already said I would do it, I doubt jobs will come easy to us if I don't follow through."
"Point, Mick." Snart says. "I'll handle the Mattit gang, you go do your thing."
"On it." the hot-blooded Rogue states. He turns towards the elevator, Snart following behind. As they enter the elevator, Snart pushes the button for Tier 6, and Mick does the same for Tier 7.
"You're heading down to Tier 7?" Snart asks.
"Yeah." Mick responds.
"Be careful down there, Mick. That place just ain't right." Cold warns.
"I've already received enough warning." the arsonist responds. The elevator starts to go down, and the two prepare for their work on the two lowest tiers.
