| Courier service without payment? |

So I had this idea to have my character start a courier service transporting vital packages from place to place in the Omniverse. This would of course be done for a monetary reward. Then I hit a stumbling block.
I remembered thay we cannot transfer OM between characters.
So I'm a bit at a loss here since I planned to use the courier service as a drama/conflict generator for my character until I get enough writing done, and threads laid out, to start his ascension arc (and no, not ascension in the rules term of the site, my character is the mortal reincarnation of a god, I plan to have him assume that Karmic Destiny).
So... Any ideas on what I could do? Any other stuff I could take as payment that wouldn't just be fluff? And I know that I get OM as I write, but that's not what this topic is about. Do we have a player-player economy? If not, could we implement one in some form?

A disembodied voice huffed loudly, seeming as though he was trying to catch his breath. The voice was quite obviously of a man. But it was impossible to see who exactly he was. A classical song played over it all, like a crazy parody of an old horror flick.
"Grr!! How did I get into this mess...?" he asked, a tired undertone to his speech. It almost sounded desperate. He was obviously in a bit of a panic.
"THAT'S FAR ENOUGH!" yelled another voice. It was loud, commanding, deep. Angry, too. "You can't run forever, Mr. Phoenix Wright!"
From somewhere, a light shone. The sky was a strange, writhing, purple mass that didn't seem like air at all. Over it all stood two figures. A giant, bearded figure clothed in shadow, and a much smaller man in a blue suit. He was trying his hardest to stay standing, in the way of a heavy wind. The giant's eyes glowed like fire, betraying his demonic nature.
"Wha...!?" the blue-suited man stuttered, eyes filled with fear at the sight. "What have I done wrong?!"
"I cannot allow you to go on like this!" responded the giant, his face unmoving, forever stuck in a stoic show of sternness. The orbs that took the place of where his eyes would be began glowing brighter.
On the other hand, the person that faced him went silent for a minute. The confusion wrought by the shadow's words were showing on his features.
"B-But I'm just a simple defense attorney!" he shot back, attempting to look brave despite himself.
"Silence!" roared the shadow. His arm raised, revealing a large, wooden hammer. A gavel. "You are no longer worthy of your title."
The lights faded, and the gavel swung down. There was a loud, final smash, as the song reached its crescendo.

"Ngh..." I sat up, letting the dizziness course through me. Man, what a dream that had been. And I had slept in my suit! Must have been a tiring day. Or maybe my age was getting to me. Though I wasn't really that old... No matter. First, I had to find a way to explain what had just happened. There was a man... no, a monster? I couldn't tell. He had no eyes, and a very wide smile. He explained to me that I was in the Omniverse, a world he created. Apparently, I had interested him. I can't really understand why, though. I'm a defense attorney. Nothing more.
And yet, here I was. In this empty landscape. Alone. Toccata and Fugue was playing from a place I couldn't see, and for a moment, it baffled me. Was there a speaker somewhere? As my mind warmed up again, though, I realized that it was my phone. I still had that dumb ringtone. Maya must not have changed it back. That explained the nightmare, too. With a small chuckle, I pulled the thing out of my pocket. Nobody was calling. It was an alarm of some sort. It had no description, it was just there. I stuffed it back into my pocket, pushing myself to my feet.
"Nick! Hey! There you are," a familiar voice called. I immediately turned toward its source. Maya was here too, it seemed.
"Hey, Maya," I replied, flashing a weak smile. I was alive, at least.
"Where are we? All I remember is that we were out getting burgers back in L.A... Now we're here?" Her voice carried the telltale signs of confusion, and anguish. This Omni guy had gotten in the way of her burgers. You never do that.
"The... Omniverse, I think it's called. We were pulled here by its god, Omni. Obviously, he likes the publicity."
"Well, he better let us out! We have food to eat, people to see! I still need to catch up on everything I missed with Trucy!"
Right, Trucy. She was still at home. Apollo could take care of her for the moment, but I was still her father. I needed to get back home.
"Well, come on then. We have work to do."

Hi again.
I made this thread to ask some questions about Primes and employment, but first I want to thank some people: enduroEndures and manormachine, thank you for the tips you gave me last thread. They helped.
But back to the actual title of this, jobs.
What employment opportunities are there for a Prime that wants to stay on the legal side of things? I heard that the Empire is always looking for more Promes in their EPD, but what other options are there?
Sincerely,
wheelingLotus

Total OM: (Grabbing that Ganon OM and switching from him to the Steven. Link here.) 15,313.14
Total Spent OM: 15,000
Character Name: Steven Universe
Character Source: Steven Universe
Character History: Steven Quartz Universe is the result of the love between Greg Universe, a human, and Rose Quartz, a Gem. Due to the non-biological nature of the alien Gems, Rose had to give up her physical form to give birth to Steven. This left Greg, and her fellow Gems, to raise the unique Gem-Human hybrid without her.
For much of his childhood, Steven was much like any other human child. He grew as normal, and didn't display any strange abilities. Due to his cheerful and amiable nature, Steven became well-known and liked throughout Beach City, making many friends.
Sometime during his young teen years, his apparent age seemed to slow or freeze and he began to manifest unusual strength, speed, and durability. During his adventures with the Gems, other abilities began to manifest as well. Some of these abilities include the ability to form a durable protective bubble, to heal others with his spit, and to animate plants.
While in transit during one of these adventures, Steven was pulled outside of the warp-stream by some mysterious force. His consciousness faded away and when it was regained, he found himself in a black void.
Physical Description:

Starting Assists:(1000) Watermelon Stevens (1000)
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.
Where did you find us? I've always been here... lurking in the shadows.
Floaty Thing: (Super Jumping) Steven has the strange ability to regulate his own personal gravity. This allows him to "float" safely down from any height. While he can control the speed of his descent, without something to brace himself on Steven cannot make any lateral movements while in the air.
Bubble: (Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Buff Proficiency, Area Shield Proficiency, Ranged Proficiency, Debuff Proficiency) The first power Steven learned how to use is his titular Bubble. This translucent pink shell is extremely durable, able to withstand extraordinary force and can protect Steven from attacks from any direction. Though incredibly strong, the Bubble is not indestructable and sufficiently powerful attacks, or repeated assaults, can break it. If broken, Steven is momentarily stunned and cannot immediately summon another.
Steven can adjust the size of his Bubble, allowing it to protect those close to him as well. For those people further from him, Steven can extend a "tunnel" from his own Bubble to encapsulate another, both protecting them and pulling them close to him. Because of its size, when Steven forms a Bubble it can push enemies away from him, giving the boy and anyone protected by him a bit of breathing room.
The young Universe can create a spiked exterior to his Bubble, which can deal minor damage to those who attack it in melee combat, though it doesn't affect ranged attacks. Another "attack" use of his Bubble allows him to trap enemies in it with him, though it is far less durable from the inside and makes Steven himself vulnerable to that foe.
It takes a fraction of a second for the Bubble to fully form or to disappate, so exceptionally quick foes may be able to attack Steven before he is protected. He also must be aware of an attack to form it. While within the Bubble, Steven cannot affect anyone outside it with either attacks, debuffs, buffs, or healing. Nor can anyone in the Bubble with him. He also can only move at half his speed while Bubbled.
Because the Bubble isn't fixed in space (unless Steven "spikes" it into place), it can be knocked around by powerful attacks or people with a fair bit of strength. This can allow allies to "throw" Steven into enemies like a bowling ball, though it isn't particularly damaging, though a Spiked Bubble will deal a moderate amount of damage.
Rose's Shield: (Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency, Area Shield Proficiency) Steven's second method of defense and his primary offense is his Shield. Like his Bubble, it's a durable, translucent pink formation of energy. In fact, it's a fair bit more durable than his Bubble, though it cannot protect as fully as his Bubble can. Like his Bubble, Steven's Shield is not indestructible and can be broke with repeated assaults or sufficient power. If broken, Steven is momentarily stunned and cannot immediately summon another.
The Shield is typically about a half-meter in diameter, though he can increase the size to about three meters wide when needed. Such an increase takes a fraction of a second to perform, and it takes a similar time to form or disappate.
As a Shield, Steven primarily uses it for defense, though he can also use it to "bash" nearby foes and can throw it at opponents that are further away. A larger shield is thrown at a slower speed than a smaller one. A normal sized shield moves as quickly as a thrown baseball, while a maximum sized shield would seem to move at a snail's pace in comparison. However, its larger area can make it easier to hit some foes. The size of the shield doesn't affect its damage, though its nature as a defensive item doesn't make it much more powerful than any mundane thrown item.
Steven can summon either one or two Shields, which allows him to protect himself from or attack two foes, or throw two Shields.
Healing Spit: (Ranged Proficiency) Steven's saliva carries his healing powers within it. While he typically licks his hand and places it on people to heal them, he can also... spit on them from a distance to use his powers. All effects under the Healing Power which would normally only be able to be used by touching someone can be used at range by Steven.
Cheeseburger Backpack: Steven's backpack always seems to have something useful in it. While it never contains weapons, unique items, or anything of benefit in a fight, it holds many items which can make someone's life or travel easier. Examples include: an inflatable raft, sandwiches, a sleeping bag, and a flashlight. For some reason, the backpack never seems to be without some minor useful item pertaining to the the situation he's in.
Double Bubble: (Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Ranged Proficiency) By placing a Bubble inside of another Bubble, Steven can increase its protection. However, the strain of this keeps Steven from being able to use it against more than one attack. In all other ways, it works similarly to his normal Bubble (it can protect himself AND others and protect people are range).
Watermelon Stevens: Steven pulls a piece of watermelon from his backpack and spits the seeds around him. From these seeds, 5 Steven-shaped watermelon warriors appear. Though not particularly strong, durable, fast, or skilled, they are fiercely protective of Steven and will attack any hostile target relentlessly. Then can also be affected by Steven's buffs and healin, which can make them a bit more of a formidable force.

I have a suggestion that multiple bases be allowed, so long as you save up the OM for each one of them to be paid for, including all the components individually. Would such a thing be feasible?

The soldiers in the white armor that was an eyesore to King Sombra had left. Once they had, he went to his kitchen and fixed himself a yogurt parfait. Truly having his magic back was a wonderful thing as he loathed to do things with his hooves. Sure eventually he'd gain all the powers of an Alicorn including the strength of an Earthpony, but he didn't need the strength. His own magic was more than sufficient for the tasks that lie ahead. Or was it? Twilight Sparkle had nearly bested him which had been an impressive thing to say the least. Of course she had the advantage of being an Alicorn but more to it had to be there than just that. The powers of an Alicorn couldn't always equal instant win, could they? If so, he ws more than a little screwed presently because he didn't know how to fight an Alicorn. Sitting in a recliner, Sombra let his hooves up.
"Starswirl would be useful right about now to tell me what to do about my current situation. Tartarus buck it all, I'd even take the mentor of Twilight, Princess Celestia. Surely one of them must know how to ascend to an Alicorn. The way things are going ascension may be my only option to survive. As much as I would hate to have any but the magic boost of an Alicorn, it is essential. Going to war after all will not be a piece of cake. What could I do though? I fought Celestia, Luna and their armies to a stand still on my own. But still, the Alicorns won because I was over confident. I can't afford weaknesses like that."

Typhone was a simple man , he was a self professed hero in a lawless land . He quickly found this idea to be a poor one growing up though , heroes died in shallow graves out here . His father was no different in that regard , when he was but a young boy his father had stood up to some criminals . Typhone was helpless but to watch him die for his foolish attempt to quell the lawless nature of his home town , once he came of age he set out . His father's gun at his hip and a sword he looted from the body of a dead thief when he was fifteen , his messy hazel locks tied back to keep it from his face .
He sighed as he looked back at his once home one last time , slinging a bag over his shoulder . His coat pulled up to cover his handsome face , to keep the sand out of his eyes and mouth . He was ready to go then making his way through the sandstorm that would cover his departure , not wanting his mother to know he had left against her wishes .
His first day out was an easy enough one , he had plenty of food and water packed up for the long journey . The storm subsiding as the sun rose that morning , giving him a clear view of the world beyond his home . The endless dunes was now his home , and he intended to make the best of it . His amber hues scanning to find a lot of nothing , sand , sand , more sand , and oh some sand for good measure . He lamented the fact that outside of the towns this was a largely dead land , a whole lot of desert and not much else . Shaking his head he continued to put boots to the ground , hoping to find some sort of adventure to start making a name for himself .
As luck would have it there was a water source not far from his hometown , at one time it was the reason the town sprang up in the first place . Now what was once a place for people to gather and talk , was a bandit infested hell hole that no one wanted to even get near . He found himself smiling as a small group of bandits was talking about a cave up north , and some incredible prize they had gotten a hold of . Aiming his revolver in silence as he watched and listened , he silently counted down from five lining up his first shot .
When his count reached zero six shots rang out from the ridge near the oasis , each shot striking its intended target . Either he had some crazy talent with that pistol , or he had gotten crazy lucky with that exchange . Sliding down the sand he was quick to scoop up the loot on the men , a couple hundred gold , a few guns , some ammunition , nothing else really he could make much use of just yet . However he would keep the gold and weapons . The shots drawing the attention of four more bandits who had been on the way down for a meet up , his eyes widening as he was surrounded .
" Well shit today just got a lot longer "
