  Cole Tyson
Posted by: Gaston - 04-02-2017, 02:20 AM - Forum: Joining - Replies (5)

(Note: I used to play Saint Walker. However, I was unable to log in as him. I want to include this to make it clear that even though this is a new account, I did play someone else.)
Character name:
Cole Tyson

Character source:
OC, with base in DC Universe

Character history:
Cole was born in an ordinary neighbourhood in Metropolis, on an ordinary day. His childhood went as most people would expect it to; he went to school regularly, played with friends, everything anyone expected him to do. But when he was 12, everything changed. Cole's mother died, and with her, something snapped inside of his father. He began harming his son at the slightest sign of disobedience, ranging from a simple punch to brutal beatings. Cole managed to hang through it, with the hope that things would get better. But one day, during a particularly brutal beating, something snapped inside of Cole. He grabbed a baseball bat and smashed at his father's face, knocking him out. Horrified, Cole looked at the scene. He feared he had killed his father, and all because of him letting his rage get out of control. Cole ran, not even packing a bag in his desperation to leave. Thus began his life on the streets.

Cole lived on the streets from the age of 14 onwards. He initially made his way to shelters, where he found safety from the dangers of the streets where gangs lay. It was in one of these shelters that Cole gained one of his biggest inspirations. Superman came to visit the shelter he was in, as a plan to raise the morale of the people there. Until that point, Superman had seemed a distant thing to Cole: something that helped, but not for him, not for Cole. But then he saw Superman, near him, caring for him, helping him. This was inspiring and amazing for Cole. From that point onward, Cole vowed to help other people, like Superman did.

It was near the age of 17 that a major turning point in Cole's life happened. Still homeless at the time, and working his way between shelters, he was attacked by a gang for trespassing on their territory. It was at this point that his Metagene was awoken. He discovered that his senses- all of them, but hearing affected the most- were greatly enhanced, and he could truly understand the world better than most. He used this power to escape from the attack and managed to find merchandise based off of Superman's costume. It wasn't much, but paired with a ski mask it allowed Cole to become the hero he always wanted to be, and he began performing vigilante acts of justice. It was soon after this that Cole was found by the Blue Lantern Corp, and recruited, for he had truly managed to keep hope over these horrible odds and become a better man through it. It was nothing more than a few days after this, just as he was learning how to use his ring, that Cole was brought away from his world and into the Omniverse, and was where his new adventure began.

Physical Description: (originals only)
Cole Tyson stands at a somewhat intimidating 198 centimetres, with long, muscular arms and legs. His typical attire is nothing more than a normal Blue Lantern Uniform, light blue with a white and black emblem in the middle of his chest. However, if he wishes it he can easily stop wearing this, in which case he reverts to more common clothing, most often blue jeans with a white shirt underneath a brown jacket. Cole has somewhat long hair, which goes down to the nape of his neck, in black curly strands. His eyes are bright blue, a similar colour to his Uniform, and his eyes have bags under them more often than not. Tyson has a thin jaw with a small chin, which sits below a small, mouselike mouth.

Stats:
ATK: 2
DEF: 2
SPD: 3
TEC: 3

Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength – 1000 OM

A unique proficiency, this allows characters to become proficient hand-to-hand combatants without purchasing any additional moves for normal punches, kicks, etcetera, the strength based on your ATK stat. It also allows for picking up heavy objects with your bare hands, strength dependent on your ATK stat. Once purchased, you may also purchase melee weapons such as swords, staves, or whips as moves, or other advanced melee moves such as charged strikes. For the purposes of clarity, any move that reaches further than 12 feet away from yourself requires the Ranged proficiency.

Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM

Allows you to purchase moves which use projectiles or attack from range. For example guns, bows and long-range beam attacks.

Area Shield Proficiency – 400 OM

Allows you to create defensive moves wider than three feet in diameter, such as a shield that covers your entire person, an entire group of people, or wider still. Of course, the wider the effect, the more diluted the power, but such moves are nonetheless extremely handy. One cannot have shields that provide extra benefit against a particular element.

Starting Powers:
Basic Super Jumping- 300 OM

Allows you to jump up to 10 metres high

Master Acrobat- 400 OM

Allows you to perform handstands, flips, and cartwheels with ease, even when attacking or defending

Basic Regeneration- 1300 OM

Basic Regeneration does not let you regrow limbs, but it does let you heal your accumulated damage and minor injuries to moderate injuries at a much faster rate than normal Primes.

Starting Moves:
The Burning of Hope (Requires Ranged Proficiency)- 300 OM

Using the power of his Blue Lantern Power Ring, Cole can form a small ball of light blue energy in his palm (With a circumference of 12.7 centimetres) and fire it.  The ball doesn't take much out of Cole, allowing him to continue fighting after casting it easily even if he fires many in rapid succession. This ball takes about 5 seconds to charge and can travel 10 metres within the span of 6 seconds. During the charging of the attack, Cole needs to maintain concentration and must stay rooted where he is. However, after travelling 15 metres it no longer becomes effective, dissipating into a mist. It does, however, do a noticeable amount of damage, enough to at least get the attention of someone.

The Protection of Hope (Requires Area Shield Proficiency)- 300 OM

By using his Blue Lantern Power Ring, Cole can form a light blue translucent bubble around his body which will protect against some attacks. The ball is about 3 metres in diameter and doesn't take much out of Cole. Cole can easily move around with the protective orb up, though the ball makes him less manoeuvrable than he usually would be (As if he were actually walking in a bubble). It can be put up with little effort and will be kept up for about 60 seconds, though it doesn't protect much. Cole's own attacks can pass through this bubble, although the bubble will weaken the attacks and cause them to do less damage than if he were to cast them without it. It takes about 10 seconds to charge within his ring, before being released.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

  Depression [Mature]
Posted by: Omni - 04-02-2017, 01:38 AM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (30)

How do you guys deal with depression and suicidal thoughts? I've been getting those a lot lately. Broke up with my girlfriend in January, which had been the one thing keeping my life together and happy. Since then I've been smoking weed pretty much nonstop because it shuts my brain up, keeps me happy and staves off the suicidal thoughts. If I stop, I start falling again. My ex cut me off despite me having done nothing wrong and that made me get even worse. Trying to get back in contact with her made things worse still. She hospitalized herself, I don't know how, but after that I've not tried to get in contact. It's been a few weeks since then and I have run out of weed.

I'm on 40mg citalopram (the max dose) and I've been trying to keep myself busy with videogames. But it's like the joy from everything is diminished. Nothing gets me excited it's just ... busywork. Last year I had to move out with really little notice and now I'm sorta trapped out in the boonies, no friends here except for a possibly-insane housemate who had until recently been providing me with the weed.

Now I'm sober again and it's back to waking up crying, dreams filled with the things I'm trying to forget about. I've considered going on the dark web and getting either more weed or a cyanide pill for a more permanent solution. I have tried cutting, suffocation, and in the times I'm lying in bed trying to sleep, my brain likes to go through every other possible way I could pull it off. I've avoided posting things like this on the Omniverse before, limiting them to the staff room. My position makes me feel like I have a responsibility that includes not sharing things like this. But I'm having a difficult time and any help/advice would be appreciated. Please keep it mature and respectful, thank you, and if you'd like to share troubles of your own then this a place you can do so.

My dad died of cancer at the end of 2015 and while it didn't affect me the way it affected my sister and brother, at least not at first, it lead to an argument with my brother who's not spoken to me since. My brother and father tend to visit me in my dreams a lot, as well as my ex. I just spend a lot of time wondering if I did the right thing. I know that I did, but that doesn't stop me from going over and over it.

The Right Monster for the Job
Posted by: King Ghidorah - 04-01-2017, 05:54 PM - Forum: Camelot - No Replies

When the agent of Harnburg who called himself Chatterly needed to talk to Duke William Conrad van Harnburg, master of Castle Harnburg and its lands and titles, he always tried to do it over breakfast. The Duke was at his most agreeable in the morning, before the frustrations of the day had had the chance to set in. Also, his chef always prepared hearty meals that would keep a man alert and contented well past lunch-time, and Chatterly wasn't above eating his employers food.

On this particular morning, the menu consisted of a cream-of-onion soup, with garlic-loaf and an assortment of smoked fish. Chatterly could smell the savory scents wafting through the opulent corridors of the Ducal chambers as he made his way towards their source, striding purposefully down avenues adorned with burgundy carpets, fine wood paneling, and just enough golden trim to achieve tasteful decadence.

Reaching a set of embossed double-doors, Chatterly adjusted his black leather gloves, handed his cloak to a liveried guard, and waited. The guard pushed open the door and announced him: "Sir Harmon Briggs!"

The agent managed not to wince. He hated his given name, but it was just one of many small penances he had to put up with. Smiling carefully, he entered the room.

The Duke's private dining hall was perfectly square, ten meters on a side, and situated on the southwest corner of the fourth floor of his keep. It was austere as such places went: No tapestries adorned the oak-paneled walls, no carpets covered the red-granite flagstones, no chandeliers hung from the vaulted ceiling. Simple braziers wrought from black iron stood in each corner, and the eastern wall hosted a small fireplace. All were currently unlit. The southern and western walls were given over to a series of high windows in lean frames, granting a view of the town of Harnburg, the lake, the surrounding pine forests, and the waterfall tumbling from the crimson cliffs on the far shore.

Other than the view, the only concession to princely luxury was the table. It was a massive, heavy thing, carved from cherry-wood and stained and polished until it shone very nearly black. The legs were embossed with a motif of golden vines. It could sit fourteen people comfortably, though there were only chairs for four.

Only one of them was occupied. In it, the Duke was enjoying his meal.

Not for the first time, the agent was struck by his master's unfortunate appearance. W.C van Harnburg was a thin man with a fat face, and a thicket of brown hair that looked as though it were dying of shame. Though he wore fine clothes, silk brocade in patterns of black and gold, they always seemed either too large or too small. He also had horrible taste in hats, favoring wide-brimmed affairs in a futile attempt to make his head appear smaller, though he at least had the social grace to take them off indoors.

Chatterly positioned himself at the end of the table, directly opposite his lord, clasped his hands behind his back and waited.

The Duke put down his spoon and folded his hands under his considerable chin. "Hello, Harmon. You're looking pleased with yourself today."

"Very much so, my lord. The spring-season caravan to Shatterdun has been destroyed."

The Duke's expression didn't change. "How unfortunate," he said. "I assume that we're responsible?"

"Of course, my lord. Not that anyone would ever guess. The caravan was attacked, you see, by a three-headed dragon."

W.C van Harnburg's eyebrows rose. He forked some smoked haddock onto his plate. "Literally, or did you only plant evidence that that's what happened?"

"Literally, my lord. The caravan was annihilated by a ravening monster."

"How did you manage to arrange that?"

Chatterly smiled, producing a scroll from a pouch at his belt, and approached the table. His narrow-faced reflection shimmered in its polished surface. "You'll recall that we had discussed soliciting for a third party to disrupt Shatterdun's trade-routes? Well, a very interesting Prime responded to one of our fliers. At first I thought he was just an ogre of some kind, but after I gave him his instructions and sent him on his way I rode out to investigate the recent disturbances that had been reported in the forest and on the eastern slopes. What I found there suggested that we may be dealing with something unusual, so I paid a visit to your pet hedge-wizard, and together we did a bit of digging."

The agent placed the scroll on the table beside his lord and unrolled it, spreading it flat with both hands.

"This," he said, "is King Ghidorah."

A nightmare glared up from the parchment. Three sneering, reptilian faces bedecked with crowns of horns perched atop long, sinuous necks, the spine of each lined by a tiny ridge of saw-tooth spikes. An almost human torso anchored two massive, bat-like wings. Two stumpy, elephantine legs  terminated in a pair of clawed feet, and it had two long tails, ending in spiky nubs. The entire creature save for its leathery wings was covered in scales.

There was cottage in the picture, for comparison. It was smaller than one of the monster's toes. A man standing beside it was barely visible, little more than a dot on the parchment with a vague suggestion of limbs.

The Duke stared.

"Of course, this isn't his current shape," Chatterly continued. "As I said earlier, when you meet him he more resembles an average-sized ogre. However, preliminary reports of the caravan's destruction indicate that he has the ability to transform into something resembling what you see here -  though not quite on this scale. Being a Prime, however, its reasonable to assume that he'll get stronger."

Van Harnburg pushed his chair out from the table and stood, his breakfast forgotten. He began to pace, one hand massaging the flesh of his chin. "How powerful is he, would you say?"

Chatterly re-rolled the scroll and returned it to his belt. "There's ample evidence to support the conclusion that he's at least above average, as Primes go." The agent began to tick off points on his fingers. "The remains of the caravan tell a story of sudden, overwhelming force. Large sections of the eastern forest road have been ravaged, and he seems to have destroyed the Coxley gang on his way through - also, I believe that the commotion on the slopes several nights past was our new friend killing another Prime."

A subtle grin flickered across the Duke's round, fleshy face. "Powerful and violent... a volatile combination. Do you think we can control him, Harmon?"

The agent smiled again.

"I think so. In all likelihood he's completely insane - based on what little I've seen of him, he seems to enjoy destruction for its own sake. He was incredibly eager to do a job that would leave most mercenaries interested at best, and his curiosity about everything he sees borders on obsessive. But I think if we pay him, give him a steady supply of information, and use him for the right kind of jobs, then he'll do as we ask."

The Duke went to one of the windows, overlooking the lake, and crossed one arm over his chest, the other still massaging his chin as he gazed out across the water. Chatterly crossed the room to stand beside him. Across the way, the cliffs glowed rust-red, the waterfall shining like liquid diamonds.

"Do you think, Harmon," asked van Harnburg, "That this could be the solution to our elf problem?"

Chatterly paused for a moment, refusing to be irritated by the Duke's insistence on using his first name. Instead, he reviewed the facts.

A few months ago, a group of nomadic elves had moved into the forest to the west, beyond the crimson cliffs. Mostly they kept to themselves, only occasionally attempting to trade. The citizenry of Harnburg, however, both the town and the duchy, found them intensely suspicious, blaming them for everything from sour milk to unfaithful wives. After all, they weren't really people were they? Everyone knew you couldn't trust elves; They made the serfs restless, and more importantly, they made the merchants that used the western road nervous.

The Duke, personally, didn't care about elves one way or the other as far as Chatterly knew - but anxious townsfolk and dwindling trade had him very concerned indeed. Several attempts had already been made to convince the squatters to leave, but the Duke's arguments had fallen on deaf, pointed ears.

Nobody of consequence would give a toss if a bunch of  elves were attacked by a monster. The only concern would be that the County of Shatterdun might link the new incident with the attack on their caravan, but even if they did, Harnburg's culpability for the initial atrocity would be impossible to prove - at least, not well enough to justify retaliatory action.

Besides, the Countess of Shatterdun didn't like elves either.

"It very well could be." said the agent. "I think that a creature as evidently bloodthirsty as Ghidorah could be convinced to solve it permanently with very little prompting at all. In fact, begging my lord's pardon, I've already taken the liberty of inviting him here to discuss it."

Van Harnburg smiled. "Perfect. I should have known you'd already be on top of the situation... one does wonder though, what will happen if our new asset proves less tractable than you believe... Would you care to discuss the matter over breakfast? My soup is getting cold."

Chatterly clapped his gloved hands and rubbed them together in anticipation. "I would, my lord. After all, as you say, it wouldn't do to be caught without a plan..."

Outside the castle, the sun glinted off the surface of the water, scintillating gold and nearly blindingly bright. Everything else appeared a mere silhouette in the light of early morning, as though scorched black by the glare.

  Vote for Us! (April)

You like having more people to play with, right? That was a rhetorical question, because having more people to write with is awesome. Do you also like OM? If the answer is 'yes', which OBVIOUSLY it is, then please vote for us on the following sites!

RPGfix (every 12 hours. If you register, your votes count as x2. Worth the couple of minutes to make an account if you're going to be voting every day)
Top RP Sites (Daily)
Forum Roleplay (Daily. Please also leave a rating/review/comment!)

When you vote, please post here with your total vote count for this month. So "Voted: 1", "Voted: 3" or whatever. Just keep track of 'em. For our counting purposes, clicking vote on all sites, or on RPGfix if only that is available, counts as 1 vote. If you post less than twelve hours since your last post, we won't count it. This means you can get up to two vote counts a day if you vote exactly every twelve hours. Simple? SIMPLE.

At the end of the month, if you posted ...

7-13 times: You get 100 OM.
14-23 times: You get 200 OM.
24+ times: You get 300 OM.
Every day: You get 300 OM, and a hug from me for being so damn diligent.

If you have an alternate character and wish to claim your reward on that account as opposed to your main one, please let us know in the topic before the month ends. If you don't, we'll assume you want the OM on the account you posted with.

We're going to trust in this that people actually click the links and don't just reply. I mean it only takes a few seconds to click these links anyway, but if there's a discrepancy between the posts here and the number of votes, and people really want to try and scam their way to a few hundred extra OM without voting, then we'll just remove this. Capiche?

Thanks for voting everyone! If you have time, please also leave a vote and review for us on Top RPG sites (once only) and Distant Fantasies.

  Line of Scrimmage (SA Quest)
Posted by: Jack Darby - 04-01-2017, 01:57 PM - Forum: Camelot - Replies (9)

Camelot was a place where technology didn't hold sway but instead was replaced by the abilities of magic. It had a series of floating islands as well as many places of interest. The air of the place smelled fresh and clean, unlike the air of Coruscant which had smelled toxic in the area he had been in because of the fumes in that area he had been in. Sure the presence of the Empire in the area he had been at had been low, but that didn't mean he had to like the area he had been in previously. Unlike that area, Camelot was clean and fresh in comparison. Having trekked towards the woods of Camelot Warren sighed. Normal people were likely to be scared of the woods that he was in. The woods contained many animals that were likely to be problematic if the one he had encountered. Some of the animals had dangerous tusks and could impale him on them if he were not armed. His spear was something he could use in the meantime while he worked to level up as it were.

"Here I go again!" Exasperated as he entered the forest, Warren was annoyed about the situation.  Once he had entered a grove in the forest, one that had black gnarled trees that needed to be pruned badly. There was a woman who had waited in the grove, the same lady he had encountered before in the same place.  "Why do you want to go down this dark path, my lord? What does it possibly gain you, that you couldn't learn from the Mage's Association?" asked the woman to the Quarterback of Chaos.  Her words were something that gave Warren pause for a moment. Normally he'd shoot her and be done with the situation, but she had piqued his interest for a moment. As she noticed that, the woman conjured up a book in her hands, and approached him. "Just think. There is more to magic than darkness. Why waste your efforts learning how to be a villain when you could be a hero instead, my lord?"

At that, Warren was snapped out of her beauty inspired mesmerization. "Because it is who I am."  He said, summoning his spear and impaling her on it causing her to disperse into golden particles of light. Warren had no use for someone who was going to fool with his brain with magic or anything else of that nature. Such was not enjoyable, to say the least for him actually. Continuing his trek deeper and deeper into the forest the Quarterback of Chaos started to look around the place. Upon seeing a statue of a swordsman standing in front of him, the swordsman statue said to Warren Zimmer.  "I am the Guardian of the Fortress of Darkness. Unless you pass my trial you will not be allowed to go deeper into the forest." said the Guardian as he looked at Warren.

War on YouTube and freedom of Speech
Posted by: Revan Noctis - 03-31-2017, 09:08 PM - Forum: The Whateververse, Man - Replies (3)

So some of you may or may not be aware of the recent boycott of advertisers and youtubes attempts to use this to change their advertising rules. The old dying media which is news sites etc are doing their best to kill off YouTube creators and have been for some time.

I would just like to remind everybody that many companies wish to stifle free speech and that anything we can do to take it back is good. I for one enjoy my news from many more honest sources on YouTube and so I feel strongly enough to share this issue. I think that the old media needs to die off but obviously this may still take some time. Please keep in mind many people on YouTube do make money off of YouTube and many of them continue to battle with YouTube in an attempt to speak about their points of view on truths about the world despite countless attempts to silence such information.

It is important that we continue to support both freedom of speech and freedom for people to make content showing their points of view on subjects. The last thing I think we all want is for our minds to be trapped and controlled by somebody else. So please keep in mind sharing knowledge is important but also so is letting people that may be wrong share their opinions to be judged as well.

I hope the internet wins.

  Wheua Mīti [Dark Data]
Posted by: Kopaka - 03-31-2017, 03:38 PM - Forum: The Frozen Fields - Replies (50)

"I create and control ice." Kopaka said to his sorcerous companion, keeping his gaze focused on the frozen archway in the distance. He was aware that Keldor had passively inquired as to the nature of his biological configuration. Kopaka didn't see how that was relevant at the moment. The Toa then gestured over his shoulders, at the tools he kept strapped to his back.

"I also have a sword and shield. Use your imagination."

It may have been pertinent at this juncture to also explain the Kanohi and their various powers, but Kopaka thought better of it. Each one was completely unique, and there wasn't even a guarantee that he would have need of certain masks for the duration of this undertaking. Skeletor simply made a slightly hesitant sound indicative of comprehension, and the rest of the trip was made in silence.

When, however, the pair of Primes finally reached the gate to the Frozen Fields, Kopaka paused for a moment and ran a white, metallic hand over the smooth surface of the glittering aperture. The Toa shuddered with a slight shiver, not because his body was reacting to the stark chill of the surface, but because it had been so long since he'd been in contact with physical, natural ice.

"Are you...alright?" Keldor asked, peering over Kopaka's shoulder. The Toa glanced over his shoulder with a sharp stare.

"Yes..." Kopaka breathed. Keldor nodded slowly, his dark-rimmed eyes slightly wide with concern. Without further hesitation, Kopaka stepped through the whirling chaos of the portal, and emerged a moment later into the fury of the glaciated Verse.

The power of winter hit him like a sack of bricks. On his first breath of the frozen, snow flecked air he felt his entire body straighten and come alive. He hadn't even realized he had been walking with a slightly hunched posture for so long until this moment. The blue light in his eyes flared and he stretched his arms out, as if to embrace the sub-zero climate. There was a great temptation to lash out with a blast of elemental power, but Kopaka restrained himself, bringing his arms down to his sides with a long breath out. The shrill voice of Keldor brought him back into the moment.

"I don't mean to encroach, but...how do we presume these devices the doctor gave us function?" the sorcerer asked, brandishing his Liberator Aid. Kopaka looked down at the device attached to his own forearm and gave it an experimental tap. It didn't respond in any discernible fashion.

"I am unsure, but perhaps they will respond as we venture deeper into the tundra." Kopaka said, his voice noticeably brighter and clearer. The Toa blinked for a moment, and then realized that Keldor was standing knee deep in snow, while he himself was standing on top of it. He had forgotten that others did not share the benefits towards traversing snowy drifts that he did.

"Do you require me to clear a path?" Kopaka asked, his tone suddenly cold and blunt again.

"Indeed! Show this power over frost and snow you have asserted so deeply!" Keldor said in a sneering tone. Kopaka nodded and gestured towards the direction straight out from the gate. There was a great sound of shuffling and grinding as the snow split and spread in an arrow straight path off over the nearest hill. Kopaka stepped off of the bank he had been standing on and set off, not waiting to see if Keldor was following...

Chapter 3: Lifeguard Tower 9 and Three Quarters
Posted by: Harry Potter - 03-31-2017, 11:56 AM - Forum: The Vasty Deep - No Replies

Harry James Potter lay on the beach of Costa Del Sol as the tide came in. To his right, his eyes closed, recovering from the psychic attack from earlier that day, was Frank the Abra. His girlfriend, Fen'iya the Twi'lek, lay with her head in his lap, looking at the stars. To Harry's left, sitting cross-legged, was the Buddhist Warforged known as Cheese Doodle.

"You are quiet," commented Cheese Doodle in his mechanical voice. This was nothing new, and Harry did not respond, but kept his bright green eyes focused on the farthest recesses of The Vasty Deeps. After some time, a figure arose from the water; a handsome teenage boy with dark hair and sick abs.

"Hello, Cedric," said Harry as he rose to embrace his deceased friend.

"Blimey," said Cedric Diggory as he hugged Harry, his abdominal muscles grating against Harry's stomach. "It's been a while, then?"

Harry nodded, but did not speak.

Cedric sat down in the sand while Cheese Doodle and Fen'iya introduced themselves and explained about the Omniverse. Harry's eyes stayed focused on the ocean. After several minutes, a second figure arose from the water.

It was a beautiful blonde woman, her perfectly curved, bikini-clad form dripping with the crystal clear waters of Costa Del Sol and pure innuendo.

"Hello, Fleur," said Harry quietly.

"'Arry!" Fleur Delacour exclaimed, as she threw her soaking wet body into Harry's outstretched arms and hugged him tightly. "And Cedric!"

Cedric grinned at Harry over Fleur's shoulder as he too hugged the french witch.

"I also could use a hug," said Cheese Doodle, and Fleur jiggled over to embrace him.

"Excuuuuse me," said Fen'iya as she stepped between them so she could hug the beautiful blonde as well. "Oh my goodness," said the Twi'lek, her pink complexion turning even rosier as Fleur bounced a little. "Oh wow, aren't you friendly?"

Harry smiled gently as his old friends met his new friends; Frank even woke up to greet them. Harry wished Hnaaag and Marla could be here, but Hnaaag was still watching over the Blue Caster Minion in the hospital after the tentacool attack. Harry remained silent as he waited for the talk to wind down, his eyes still on the horizon. Eventually, there was nothing but the night wind howling across the beach.

"Cedric, Fluer," Harry began. "Do you know why you are here?"

The beautiful secondaries shrugged.

"You are here," said Harry. "To live. To love. To grow. You are here to follow your own destiny, whatever that may be."

The really hot secondaries nodded solemnly.

"That's what I'm doing," Harry continued. "I have to leave. There is something I need to do."

In his mind, Harry heard the not-altogether-freindly chuckle of Tom Riddle.

Harry ignored him and pressed on. "Can you still cast the Bubble Head charm, like you did in the Triwizard Tournament?"

The puzzled secondaries nodded, and then demonstrated the complicated charm by casting it on each other. Immediately, a bubble of air surrounded their heads, distorting their attractive features, before they dismissed the spell.

"Good," said Harry. "But the people here, that come to this beach, they can't cast that charm. Some of them can't even swim. If you wanted to do something, something good, well, you're the best swimmers I know."

"Oh, 'Arry!" cried Fleur. "You are so caring! Of course 'e will watch ze beach! No, Cedric?"

Cedric nodded. "You go do your thing, Harry Potter," he said, his eyes twinkling dreamily.

Harry nodded, but did not trust himself to speak for some time.

"Stand back," he said eventually.

The group of secondaries scurried away as Harry whipped out his wand with a flourish. He started to move it in a complex pattern, grimacing as he concentrated. Slowly, white wooden started to appear in the air and knit themselves together; first into a long ramp, then a set of stairs, and then a small kind of room at the top. Harry painted something on the side of it, then stepped back.

Lifeguard Tower 9 and Three Quarters stood tall on the beaches of Costa Del Sol.

As his friends inspected the tower with glee, Harry got an impatient telepathic ping; a bright red eye was glaring below the surface of the ocean.

"I have withdrawn my flock," came Golduck's hissing telepathic voice. "Now fulfill your contract, young prime." Harry nodded, and pulled Cheese Doodle aside.

"Hey," he said to the warforged quietly. "Tell Hnaaag to keep an eye on Marla. That Blue Melee Minion, her ex boyfriend or whatever, he's got a temper. And I think I saw him outside her apartment one night."

Cheese Noodle nodded solemnly.

"Ok," said Harry as he grabbed his surfboard and his backpack. "Ok," he repeated, with determination.

His friends stood on the life guard tower, watching him silently, as he stared back at them.

"Thank you," he said finally, his voice shaking.

Then Harry Potter jumped on his flying surfboard to follow Golduck to his home island so he could stop the pokemon poachers and give the tentacool their home back.

Harry could hear Tom Riddle laughing in the Pale Moors.

  Chaotic Fumble
Posted by: Jack Darby - 03-31-2017, 09:38 AM - Forum: Camelot - Replies (3)

Camelot was the world where swords and sorcery ruled and where technology had little sway. It wasn't the ideal place for him to begin his mission to get stronger, but Warren Zimmer had no choice in the matter. As he was now, he could be defeated by a Secondary Child, and that was disgusting. His irritation boiled as he began trekking through the world. Some of the books he had read had mentioned a sword that could be of use to him, or at least that would provide him an edge in combat. His current Wazikashi as he had was not able to be useful against more powerful weapons. No, what he needed was a bit of an upgrade so that he could survive his next encounter with the Stormtroopers.  A frown formed on his face. Was he supposed to play nice with every enemy who came his way? No, he wasn't a good guy nor was he a saint. There had been one of his mistakes the previous time he had been here. He'd been too nice and had gloated about his plans. Those who didn't know the mistakes of the past were doomed to repeat it, and Warren wasn't going to repeat any of his previous mistakes.  Camelot could make an excellent home to Fort Zimmer possibly although he wasn't sure. His home had to be somewhere that he wasn't likely to be bothered by the heroic types. It had to be such a place because he refused to underestimate his enemies again. The Quarterback of Chaos could ill afford to lose this pickup game because now he had no choice but to win. Compassion was not something he was going to deal out to his enemies this time around.

"The time has come that I can no longer play nice with my enemies.  As the Quarterback of Chaos, and as Wild Card I cannot afford to be soft any longer."  Warren said as he spent the required time to summon a motorcycle for his own use. Getting on it, he'd start to drive it through Camelot as he made his way to one of the locations he remembered from the books that he had read. Finding an old abandoned castle that was in definite need of being repaired he thought of what he had read. There was an evil twin to the sword Excalibur somewhere in this area, and that was interesting to him because he needed another sword for himself. Once he had arrived at the castle he dissipated his motorcycle and began looking around the place, to see if he could find anything of use.

  A Chaotic Interception
Posted by: Jack Darby - 03-30-2017, 10:29 PM - Forum: The Nexus - No Replies

Warren Zimmer sighed, as he began the trek through the Nexus.   While he hadn't learned everything he'd wanted to, he realized that he couldn't have allowed himself to waste any more time there. After all, the Stormtroopers who hated his guts were probably still around and that meant he'd have to get stronger. His next stop was as such; not one he wanted to visit.  It was a world of swords and sorcery, one where science held no sway. Sure it wasn't his favorite place, but it did have it's advantages. Case in point, it was going to allow the Quarterback of Chaos to get to where he needed to be. His skill at weaponry alone was not enough, what he needed was some enchanted weapons. Science had failed him, and so he had little choice.

Here he had no resources. There were no blitz bots to join the team, should he encounter any problem he couldn’t defeat on his own. Furthermore, he had no soldiers that were capable of being summoned.

"Looks like you screwed up badly this time, Warren. Being brought here once was bad enough, but twice."

At the start of talking to himself, Warren banged his head into a stop sign that he conjured out of Omnilium, and then dismissed. The pain distracted him from his irritation at himself. The sick and twisted games of Omni were just one of a series of vicious annoyances he ahd to learn how to cope with, because he couldn't cure them. Summoning his Wazikashi, Warren began to think of darker thoughts. As he did so however, he realized that even if he were to try that out, it wasn't going to work. Omni said that he was going to remain here as long as he entertained him, and so dying likely wasn't going to work in this case. What he needed was a way he could get stronger than he was and fast.

Weaponizing the energies of emotions seemed like a good option. Saint Walker had wielded a ring based off of the power of hope. It had certainly been powerful, and that was to say the least about it. Granted he needed to plan out how he was going to achieve similar power because he wanted to ensure he was ready. One didn't enter battle, or fight without a plan of attack after all. Just what was his plan?

His plan was to acquire the resources that he had in the past. Fort Zimmer was paramount to those plans, but he knew he couldn't have his old base back. A new one was needed, and most likely he was going to have to spend the Omnilium to build a new place for himself. But his place was not going to be a castle unlike previously. No, he'd disguise it as a two story house and instead of building upwards... build downwards. It was going to have tons of sub levels as opposed to being gigantic.

Continuing his trek towards Camelot, Warren eventually arrived there about five and a half hours later. Exhausted from the trek and all he had done, Warren still knew he had to keep pushing himself. Going through the gate into Camelot he made up his mind. He was going to come back with the skills that he needed, and he was going to show the people of Coruscant just how vindictive the Quarterback of Chaos could be.
