Chapter 3: Lifeguard Tower 9 and Three Quarters
#1
Harry James Potter lay on the beach of Costa Del Sol as the tide came in. To his right, his eyes closed, recovering from the psychic attack from earlier that day, was Frank the Abra. His girlfriend, Fen'iya the Twi'lek, lay with her head in his lap, looking at the stars. To Harry's left, sitting cross-legged, was the Buddhist Warforged known as Cheese Doodle.

"You are quiet," commented Cheese Doodle in his mechanical voice. This was nothing new, and Harry did not respond, but kept his bright green eyes focused on the farthest recesses of The Vasty Deeps. After some time, a figure arose from the water; a handsome teenage boy with dark hair and sick abs.

"Hello, Cedric," said Harry as he rose to embrace his deceased friend.

"Blimey," said Cedric Diggory as he hugged Harry, his abdominal muscles grating against Harry's stomach. "It's been a while, then?"

Harry nodded, but did not speak.

Cedric sat down in the sand while Cheese Doodle and Fen'iya introduced themselves and explained about the Omniverse. Harry's eyes stayed focused on the ocean. After several minutes, a second figure arose from the water.

It was a beautiful blonde woman, her perfectly curved, bikini-clad form dripping with the crystal clear waters of Costa Del Sol and pure innuendo.

"Hello, Fleur," said Harry quietly.

"'Arry!" Fleur Delacour exclaimed, as she threw her soaking wet body into Harry's outstretched arms and hugged him tightly. "And Cedric!"

Cedric grinned at Harry over Fleur's shoulder as he too hugged the french witch.

"I also could use a hug," said Cheese Doodle, and Fleur jiggled over to embrace him.

"Excuuuuse me," said Fen'iya as she stepped between them so she could hug the beautiful blonde as well. "Oh my goodness," said the Twi'lek, her pink complexion turning even rosier as Fleur bounced a little. "Oh wow, aren't you friendly?"

Harry smiled gently as his old friends met his new friends; Frank even woke up to greet them. Harry wished Hnaaag and Marla could be here, but Hnaaag was still watching over the Blue Caster Minion in the hospital after the tentacool attack. Harry remained silent as he waited for the talk to wind down, his eyes still on the horizon. Eventually, there was nothing but the night wind howling across the beach.

"Cedric, Fluer," Harry began. "Do you know why you are here?"

The beautiful secondaries shrugged.

"You are here," said Harry. "To live. To love. To grow. You are here to follow your own destiny, whatever that may be."

The really hot secondaries nodded solemnly.

"That's what I'm doing," Harry continued. "I have to leave. There is something I need to do."

In his mind, Harry heard the not-altogether-freindly chuckle of Tom Riddle.

Harry ignored him and pressed on. "Can you still cast the Bubble Head charm, like you did in the Triwizard Tournament?"

The puzzled secondaries nodded, and then demonstrated the complicated charm by casting it on each other. Immediately, a bubble of air surrounded their heads, distorting their attractive features, before they dismissed the spell.

"Good," said Harry. "But the people here, that come to this beach, they can't cast that charm. Some of them can't even swim. If you wanted to do something, something good, well, you're the best swimmers I know."

"Oh, 'Arry!" cried Fleur. "You are so caring! Of course 'e will watch ze beach! No, Cedric?"

Cedric nodded. "You go do your thing, Harry Potter," he said, his eyes twinkling dreamily.

Harry nodded, but did not trust himself to speak for some time.

"Stand back," he said eventually.

The group of secondaries scurried away as Harry whipped out his wand with a flourish. He started to move it in a complex pattern, grimacing as he concentrated. Slowly, white wooden started to appear in the air and knit themselves together; first into a long ramp, then a set of stairs, and then a small kind of room at the top. Harry painted something on the side of it, then stepped back.

Lifeguard Tower 9 and Three Quarters stood tall on the beaches of Costa Del Sol.

As his friends inspected the tower with glee, Harry got an impatient telepathic ping; a bright red eye was glaring below the surface of the ocean.

"I have withdrawn my flock," came Golduck's hissing telepathic voice. "Now fulfill your contract, young prime." Harry nodded, and pulled Cheese Doodle aside.

"Hey," he said to the warforged quietly. "Tell Hnaaag to keep an eye on Marla. That Blue Melee Minion, her ex boyfriend or whatever, he's got a temper. And I think I saw him outside her apartment one night."

Cheese Noodle nodded solemnly.

"Ok," said Harry as he grabbed his surfboard and his backpack. "Ok," he repeated, with determination.

His friends stood on the life guard tower, watching him silently, as he stared back at them.

"Thank you," he said finally, his voice shaking.

Then Harry Potter jumped on his flying surfboard to follow Golduck to his home island so he could stop the pokemon poachers and give the tentacool their home back.

Harry could hear Tom Riddle laughing in the Pale Moors.
