His body lay still in the motionless void. As if in space, it constantly floated in place, weightless without any gravity to hold it. Was Beta Ray still in the void of space? Or was this what death really felt like? A void of nothingness and black, nor heaven nor hell. Not even the nine realms that surround Asgard were close. Was this a punishment or a trick of some kind designed by the World Eater, Galactus? Questions but no answers.

Beta Ray Bill's body still yet ached from the previous battle with Galactus but, to his surprise, no blood or scars were visible to his pale white eyes. Perhaps his hammer Stormbreaker, which was floating beside him, had somehow healed or protected him.  

Bill scowled at the thought of the World Eater. By Korbin, he hoped - no, he prayed - that Galactus felt pain from the battle as he himself did. At least he could settle on that for revenge on the destruction of his people, a small and yet better taste of vengeance.

His thoughts were short-lived however. Squinting his eyes in the ocean of black, he saw a speck of light beginning to grow larger and larger until it was blinding. And then he saw it. A creature of some sort, glowing in all white, smiling.

By the realm of Eternity, what was it? A Celestial, maybe? No, perhaps it was a creature of fable and rumors, a Beyonder? There was no telling. The being could be hostile or even friendly. Maybe it can't speak or doesn't know his tongue. More questions and no answers.

Ready or not, Bill was unable to guard himself. His body incapable of moving as some invisible force like hands kept his limbs and torso from making any movement. Gritting his teeth, the Korbinite forcefully tried to move, yet it was a losing battle.

“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

It spoke! Yet how did it know that which Bill sought? Beta Ray Bill's eyes widened. He realized he couldn't speak. What manner of madness is this?

Reaching out with his hands the being… Omni placed a brilliant glowing orb of many vast colors in Bill’s palms.

“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours.”

Anything he desires? What a large boast that was. Such a thing meant that this Omni was indeed a cosmic entity.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

As quickly as the being had appeared, he faded away, leaving only the black void once again. Slowly, the darkness began taking form in his sight. Fearing what was happening, the Korbinite shouted, yet still he couldn't utter a single word. Slowly he drifted into unconsciousness.

Dr. McNinja straightened his mask as he breathed in the air of the Nexus. 
 
"Well," the physician sighed, "Time to get going."
 
Master Millet looked up at him. "Yeah, right."
 
"What?" Doc sneered, "I'm magical now. You remember how strong I was without the magic."
 
"Dracula," Millet sighed, "You're gonna attack Dracula."
 
"He's never fought me- you know what, I don't feel like going through this."
 
Doc rolled his eyes, checking his blade. He drew one of the incendiary throwing stars that the old man had made for him. He stuck his finger in the hole of the weapon and spun it like a fidget spinner. Embers and sparks spun from the throwing star. Master Millet waved a hand, and a glyph appeared a few inches from the spinning star. The star stopped in its place, and the sparks disappeared. Master Millet glared at Dr. McNinja, who shrugged.
 
"Still hate magic," Doc sighed, "But that is pretty cool."
 
"You have some better gear," Master Millet nodded, "But that's not enough."
 
"Probably not!" Dr. McNinja chirped, "So you should come with."
 
"I like living."
 
Doc rolled his eyes. 
 
"You know how to use those beads, right?" Millet asked.
 
"Yeah," Doc said, fingering the bracelet with his other hand, "You tested it?"
 
"Don't need to," Master Millet sighed, "It's hard to make, it's not a new design." 
 
"Fine," Dr. McNinja said, "But if this thing breaks and I die, then it's on you."
 
Master Millet pulled out a yellow mask from his robes. Doc glared at it as he noticed the red lines outlining the eye holes and the red caduceus climbing up the bridge of his nose. The mask shimmered lightly as it waved in the Nexus' light.
 
"Enhanced in the way you wanted," Millet said.
 
Doc nodded as he slipped it over his ninja mask.
 
"Wait, really?" the old man snickered, "You... You're gonna put another mask... over your existing mask?"
 
Dr. McNinja sighed in the McLuchador mask, his voice beginning to modulate as the mask adjusted to his face.
 
"I do not want anyone to see my real face, amigo."
 
Doc cleared his throat again. It was always very strange to hear your voice sounding different.
 
"This is one of the thinnest disguises I've ever seen," Master Millet sighed, "You sure you don't want... like... the rest of the luchador outfit?"
 
"No gracias."
 
"Some armor?"
 
"No."
 
"...did you just say no in a Mexican accent?"
 
"...Sí."
 
Master Millet rolled his eyes and started walking back towards the gate to Camelot.
 
"Whatever. My student just lost utterly in Dante's Abyss, so he's probably on his way back to Dalaran," the old man shouted, "Let me know when you come back to life."
 
"Gracias for your vote of confidence," Doc snapped back, "And, as a note, Mexicans probably don't say gracias sarcastically!"
 
Dr. McLuchador looked at the gate to the Pale Moors warily. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. This Dracula, as far as he could tell, was WAY stronger than the Dracula from his homeworld. Maybe it was best to just join Darkshire and fight him smart instead of doing it the traditional ninja way, which didn't work last time.
 
Doc stuffed his katana in his labcoat, making it somehow vanish. He ran through the portal, coat flapping behind him.

Beach Party – You’re on a pristine beach, like one straight out of Costa del Sol. There’s a life guard tower, some blankets and beach balls, along with anything else you might find at a restor-y beach.The Fight Area is a 60-foot stretch of sandy beachside property (roughly 20 feet of sandy fun and 20 feet of ocean). You can wade out up to about 12 feet deep, but there’s no undertow given the barrier at the edge of the Fight Area. While everything is beautiful where you are, if you look in the distance, the sky is dark and foreboding.

"What is this?" Sasuke muttered as he glanced at the battle standard that flapped in wind that had no right existing in an enclosed dome. He recognized them from years ago.

"I'm assuming it's supposed to be ironic," Victor Wolfe spoke from across the courtyard. The assassin stood before a pair of large tattered banners that bore the golden imperial lion. Turning from his adversaries, he ran his thumb across a rack of weapons and smirked. "I wouldn't take it all too seriously," he muttered.

Beyond the boundaries of the Fight Area, there was a flash of yellow light that caused the four men to wince and glimpse away.

Victor squinted. He swore he saw familiar shapes fighting out there in the perma-haze. Karl had really open the purse strings on this occasion.

“Battle of Nippur” – The most famous minor city in the Omniverse not run by a Princess and filled with talking ponies. This recreation of the Battle of Nippur is a Fight Area that encompass the front exterior of the Royal Palace and the surrounding blocks. Beyond the barrier, you can spot the forces of LAW and the defenders of New Babylon locked in eternal struggle. Both teams are provided with optional equipment armories on their side of the Fight Area related to the side they represent.

Ben’s Knife (300): One of the blades forged by a serial killer for every murder he committed, the knife that Chrollo possesses is roughly twelve inches long. The blade branches, not unlike a fork, and its three points curve inward towards the same point. The design is likely for aesthetics, though a similar blade could be caught through the notches by someone deft enough. Nevertheless, the blade it designed to be incredibly sharp.
