Ogre!
Gildarts is a womanizer, but I think that deep down he wants someone that he can really love. He wants someone who won't have a problem with him going out to do jobs all the time, but who will in turn demand that he commits to her. Ogre is, against the bad reputation of her race, a real teddybear - talk about a gentle giant, because averaging at 2,30m tall she's going to tower any human. Her immense physical strength and endurance also means that she could accompaign Gildarts on his trips should he ever go out for a while again.
Her sweetness and gentleness would lure any man in, and Gildarts is unlikely to be an exception. Conversely, being as tough as he is he is likely to be able to withstand her accidental excessive use of strength that would injure regular humans, and with his age and experience with women he'll probably be able to ask her to be careful without bringing up the touchy subject of her enormous size. She wants to be treated like a woman, not a monster, and Gildarts will be able to do that.
On the bad side, he'd have to commit - Ogre is going to hate the idea of an open relationship, let alone him cheating on her, and his fondness for dirty magazines... well, she doesn't appreciate that. But if he accepts that, if he truly tries to make it work, then in exchange this woman like no other will stay in his life, and they will be happy.

Just as a heads up: if you swap your character before I get to matching you, that character will be skipped. Feel free to re-submit a request with your new character though! It'll just put you back to the end of the queue.
More matches are on the way, I promise :froggonk:

Sans
![[Image: latest?cb=20141022071408]](https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/dailylifewithamonstergirl/images/4/4f/Polt1.png/revision/latest?cb=20141022071408)
Kobold!
Well, let's be real - Sans x Toriel will always be a thing. But, I think that we can offer our skelebro an alternative as well. And that alternative is Kobold.
Kobolds are a sort of good-luck monster who typically takes the shape of a bipedal canine, though Kobolds in other forms exist too. They all have in common that they are physically active, helpful, friendly and social. All of these up to eleven. Most Kobolds are sports fanatics and constantly training. Their workaholic attitude also tends to make them a lot of money.
This is quite opposed to the lazy Sans. Sure he's friendly, social... well, somewhat, and helpful to some degree, but he's more of a thinker than a doer. He has a whole load of issues beneath his nonexistant skin, from being resigned to his fate to suffering from depression. How on earth would he fit well with someone as hyperactive as Kobold? The answer to that is Papyrus, Sans's brother. Or rather, what Papyrus stands for. He's the active, strong, open and naive of the two, much like a kobold, and he's the one keeping their little household afloat. Sans would probably not last very long without Papyrus's driving force. Kobold is very similar to Papyrus in that regard - many of the things that he stands for, she does too.
Of course, Sans might not bother listening to Kobold since she's not Papyrus. Or maybe not initially. That's fine! Kobold isn't dependant on his participation. Her cheerful, open attitude will eventually take roots in his chest, and he will grow to appreciate her. He probably won't participate in her daily 42 kilometer walks and might not listen to her healthy-diet speeches, but there is no risk that his laziness will pass on to her. On the other hand, his intelligence and knowledge will compensate for Kobold's naivety and help her in furthering whatever crazy projects she may pursue. And she's going to appreciate his jokes and puns, too! Well, probably.
And if all else fails and he really just needs his girlfriend to calm down for five minutes, he can just pet behind her ears and she'll melt against him.

Madotsuki
![[Image: Protector_Armor.jpg]](http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y413/AQPedia2/Armours/Protector_Armor.jpg)
Protean!
You might wonder, where is the monster in this picture? It's actually the silver substance that forms an armor! Indeed, Proteans are a sort of alien, a metal slime creature capable of creating a symbiotic relationship with a host, forming an armor around their body and protecting them from outside dangers in exchange of the host's body warmth and movement, as Proteans aren't used to the low temperatures of Earth nor can they move around very quickly to do things like finding food. The host can provide both.
Why am I suggesting this for Madotsuki, you may ask? Because she is someone who hates being alone, she prefers non-human company over human one (then again, any monster would probably do for this particular preference) and yet she is withdrawn, with hikkikomodi tendencies. Protean will never give her up, never let her down, never run around and desert her, he'll never make her cry, he'll never say goodbye, never tell a lie and hurt her.
In all seriousness though - Protean will be happy to be with her, and he is as fiercely loyal to his symbiote as Madotsuki is to her friends. He will never leave her side for very long, if at all, and his nature to form into armor at any hint of danger or discomfort will allow Madotsuki to remain withdrawn without staying in a room. If she feels uncomfortable Protean will wrap around her until not a shred of skin remains visible beneath his armor, and if there is danger he will do the same.
Of course, having an alien creature all up in your personal bubble at all times may not work for Madotsuki initially, or at all. As with a lot of characters on this list, she'll need to warm up to Protean first, and Protean won't pick his symbiote based on a first impression either.
Bendy
![[Image: latest?cb=20131115080956]](http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/monstergirlencyclopedia/images/c/c1/Kitsune_Love.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131115080956)
Kitsune!
Specifically, a kitsune with two or three tails, not the full nine.
Bendy's trickster, mishievous disposition and his duality of lightheartedness and humor against his tendency to do bad things, as well as his liking to be the one in control, all factor into why I made the decision to partner him with Kitsune. These fox spirits are mishievous tricksters, but not necessarily evil unless they fall under a demonic influence. Bendy may be a spirit as well, which further adds to the points that they have in common.
Kitsunes can have up to nine tails which serve as an indicator of their strength - nine is reserved for the strongest and rarest of them, which are worshipped as gods by some. Two to three tails definitely indicates power, but no exorbitant amount of it. Kitsunes of this range are relatively young (which can still mean dozens of years, so no - Bendy won't get matched with a loli) and more open to external influences, meaning that Kitsune would adapt to match Bendy better. If he's playfully evil, Kitsune will stay the way she is as she grows stronger. If he's actually evil, she'll be corrupted into a demonic kitsune. In either case, by the time that she gains additional tails, if ever, she would be close enough to Bendy to not try and take the reins in their relationship even if she would have the power to. Many Kitsunes enjoy someone leading them, in fact - there's no point yelling about patriarchy and female dependancy on men here.
Finally, many kitsunes are skilled with a paintbrush, using their tails as one. Perhaps she can help Bendy in some way using this skill, be it improving him or drawing a few of his friends? Who knows.

Victor Wolfe
![[Image: latest?cb=20160201091931]](https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/dailylifewithamonstergirl/images/3/3f/DoppelClothes1.png/revision/latest?cb=20160201091931)
Shapeshifter!
Victor seems to be an ambitious, intelligent and cunning person who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Especially not if it'll bring him an advantage. And from what it appears to be, he doesn't exactly regard other people's lives very highly. It's not just that he places his own above that of others - anyone would, really - but he seems to be the type of person that would sell their family for the right price. Or his girlfriend...
The remedy? Someone who is more valuable to him than what money could buy. Yes, that may be love and affection and yadda yadda, but that may take years to develop - faqr too long for opportunities to present themselves that Victor could not refuse, that he would end up alone again, leaving his partner behind to reap the spoils alone. Shapeshifter, or most of the trickster-type Obakes really (kitsunes, tanukis, bakenekos etc.) would be a far more valuable partner to have. They build up on the traits that Victor has as well as his skill of infiltrating and spying, through their shape-changing power. A doppelganger would not be as "efficient" as a shapeshifter who can take any appearance, not just that of an existing person, and would thus be able to take any role necessary to support Victor with whatever he sets his mind on - be that the role of a guard that has supposedly captured an interloper and brings him to the inner sanctum of the area, or that of a black cloak to shroud him in darkness so that he may hide and let wandering eyes pass by without seeing him.
Not to mention, Shapeshifter has a way of escaping tight situations if Victor decides to throw her under the bus one day, and while she may not be happy about it she wouldn't mind as much as other monstergirls who demand more trust. Granted, Victor may find himself at the recieving end of a revenge prank, but that's the price he's gotta pay to keep his partner in crime.
The only issue about Shapeshifter is that they can't sleep in the same bed, or room. Because a human mind could not take the sight of an eldritch horror without going insane, and as strong-minded as Victor may be, he is unlikely to pose an exception to this. Unless of course he prefers to try his luck with a bakeneko or a kitsune?

Ezrihel
![[Image: latest?cb=20130609012448]](https://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/monstergirlencyclopedia/images/7/74/Vampire_0.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130609012448)
Vampire!
Honestly put: Ezrihel is not exactly a good fit for most monsters, especially the female types. Many of them want emotions and love in their relationships, and few have the ambitions to achieve big goals like Ezrihel.
Summing him up, Ezrihel is a big thinker: he's ambitious and likes challenges, he will set the bar high and jump it too. He's energetic and enthusiastic about what he does, as well as dominant - imposing in a way, which isn't necessarily bad. On the other hand he is a rational, logic-thinking person with little room for emotions and feelings. Which is not to say he doesn't have any, they're just deep beneath the surface. Very deep. And he will determine if a relationship is worth pursuing based on that rational, logic way of thinking. He's not going to be content with a guy or gal that brings nothing to the table.
That's why a vampire, guy or gal, is the best fit. It may not be perfect, but the best that I could come up with off the above thoughts. Vampires from a certain age on discard dead weight like emotions, things that they had as humans. They still have a trace amount of them - deep down there somewhere, but it's rarely brought out, if at all. Does that remind you of anything? Ezrihel's rational way of thinking and occasional insensitivity will thus not hurt them in most cases.
Some like challenges, others are content with building up what they have without aiming for a big goal to reach. Either one would likely join Ezrihel with his big ambitions and the determination to challenge himself, so long as he doesn't take the suicidal route. A realistic challenge, not an impossible one. I doubt that Ezrihel thinks otherwise, though.
The only thing where the cogs don't fit perfectly is energy. Ezrihel has a lot of it and he invests it. Vampires are slower, calmer, biding their time and often letting things happen rather than actively participating, as an instinct of self-preservation. They have immortality, but if they are found out they're in trouble. The exception to this are vampires who feed on human blood: they are far stronger and more ruthless than their siblings who exclusively drink animal blood, and because they have to be active to maintain that diet they don't take things nearly as slowly. On the other hand, the risk of being found out is far greater.
Either of them will pose a challenge: be it the intelligent, calm, calculating version or the ruthless, active, human blood-drinking one, they won't let Ezrihel take the lead in their relationship without a "fight". If he wants to stay on top he'll have to work to keep the spot.
Whether or not Ezrihel finds that such an involvement's long-term benefits (they're there) are worth the investment is up to him. But in the world of non-human monsters he will have to search far and wide if he hopes to find a better suited partner.

Mario
![[Image: latest?cb=20160911084133]](https://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/dailylifewithamonstergirl/images/b/b6/Kino4.png/revision/latest?cb=20160911084133)
Matango Dryad!
Matangos are a type of dryad who take the shape of anthropomorphic funghus. They are capable of rooting their legs into the ground and energizing themselves via photosynthesis, and more importantly they release spores from their "hats" which have various properties, such as causing hallucinations.
What does this all have to do with Mario? Well, as we all know our favorite plumber's normal girlfriend keeps getting abducted by Bowser, stuck behind all sorts of fortifications and bosses for Mario to then battle his way through, traversing various worlds from dungeons to volcanoes to snowed plains and green grasslands. And for some reason he still invites Bowser to go Go-Karting or to play football and tennis... and things never really stick with Princess Peach either.
Here's a wild theory: what if Mario has already met Matango, and is under the influence of her spores? The hallucinations may differ for whoever breathes them in, but there has been a case where an entire household thought themselves to be in a dungeon - with a shopkeeper, "random encounter" monsters, a wise oracle and everything. The spores may also change their effects over time, making the person see different visions of situations. Do you see the parallels?
Okay, that theory may be a little far-fetched, but let's take things from a less crazy standpoint. Mario is probably not happy about Bowser taking Princess Peach and trying to force her to marry him or be a mum for his (adopted?) children with surprising tenacity. He is probably not too happy about being effectively friendzoned by Peach and getting little more than a "Thank you!" and/or cake for traversing half the world to rescue her. But at the same time, he's not one to settle down and stop the adventuring. If he does he'll start lusting for adventure and entertainment again before long.
Matango can provide him with a safe way of living out his dreams, through her spores. She could portray herself as the princess that he must rescue, and place him in a "dangerous" world full of obstacles that he can overcome. There is no real risk to this because it's a hallucination at the end of the day, and if he left the "boundaries" of the area (such as by exiting the house/palace) the spores would disperse and he would see clearly again. Matango also has little risk of being kidnapped by Bowser as he would be affected by her spores - and she releases more when she feels threatened - plus she could root herself into the ground to at least make taking her away harder. Bowser may be a firebreathing monster but he would not rip a girl's legs off in a kidnapping.
Finally, Mario has a number of friends who are used to supernatural occurences, and Matango's spores don't make it easy for her to make friends. Mario could introduce her to the people he knows, which she would appreciate greatly! And I don't doubt that she'll take friendzone-Peach's place in Mario's heart in no time.

Ash Williams
Lamia!
Ash is, if I understand correctly, an undead time-traveler from the 21st century, with a robotic right arm with a chainsaw instead of hands, and who was brought to the 14th century by some enchanted book. That book also being the item responsible for his life having turned upside down, having made him undead and amputated his arm. Unfortunately that's not a lot to go on, but judging by that Ash had a girlfriend prior to the unfortunate chain of events, he really just wants a normal life.
The next best thing after a human girlfriend would be a Doppelganger, but - a monstergirl like that who will take on the appearance and memories of his girlfriend with a little idealisation on top, that's just too easy.
That's why Ash should try pairing up with a lamia. Why? Because of all monstergirls lamias are some of the most normal, if you discount their tail, and yet among the most adorable. A second-generation lamia, someone who has some experience with humans rather than never having seen one before would be better, as they have immense physical strength in their tails, and they like to use those. If they're not careful they could crush solid steel with it. A lamia that has been taught by her mother to be careful with this appendage around fragile humans will be a better fit.
Lamias are among the least monster-like monstergirls, they have mostly human instincts: unlike snakes they don't swallow live prey whole, they don't have venomous teeth and they don't even hiss. However they are cold-blooded, meaning that they will need warmth especially in the morning - meaning daily cuddles especially in the cold months -, they are carnivores and not the best cooks due to a weak sense of taste, so they'll have to share kitchen duty, and they are damn affectionate even when they don't need to cuddle for warmth. Oh, and they require a good bit of dedication in regards to housing, furnishing and such. If Ash doesn't like cuddly, snuggly girls, if he's a leg person or if he is scared of his girlfriend crushing him during a cuddle session, then he should try a Doppelganger instead.
Nightmare!
Nightmares are a kind of rare subspecies of centaurs, which as its name implies sneaks into the dreams of its "prey", taking on various roles in those dreams and feeding from their spirit energy as they sleep. The particular Nightmare that I believe to fit best with Jacket is one that is somewhat older, more mature and that has developed a "second body". Because Nightmares' bodies are rather quite exposed when invading people the stronger ones transfer part of their conscience into a humanlike extension of themselves, which stays awake when Nightmare is in one's dreams and ensures that no outsider sneaks up on them. This, however, is not the reason why I believe that an older Nightmare would be the best fit. Young, adolescent Nightmares are far more interested in sexual interaction with their prey in its dreams to harvest raw, strong spirit energy, whereas the slightly older ones feed on the more subtle, soft and delicate spirit energy of those who can sleep peacefully and safely after having had recurring nightmares or not having been able to sleep due to fear or bad memories.
Jacket is a war veteran with a kill count so high that he stopped counting long ago, and suffering from PTSD. On top of that the "jobs" he's done for 50 Blessings keep him from finding inner peace even if he could deal with the horrors of war. Nobody, not even the most hardened soldier, can have a kill count as high as Jacket's and not be affected by it. This is evidenced by his smoking and drinking: ways to flee the world, to find refuge in something that numbs you and makes you forget. Similarly after his jobs he keeps meeting his former squad leader, treating him like a friend and giving him stuff "On the house" - the same words that the squad leader spoke while treating a half-dead Jacket -, another hallucination that is the result of Jacket longing for safety, warmth and someone to care for him.
But, onto the pairing. I don't believe that they should meet face-to-face... much rather, Nightmare will be drawn in by Jacket's ill dreams and bad memories, finding that such strong emotions would create a delicious spirit energy for her to feed on if she helps him. As said, Nightmare will want her "prey" to have good, peaceful sleep and to feel safe. To that end she will manipulate Jacket's dreams, shooing figures such as the masked people and the shock memories of people that he has killed from them and preventing nightmares from happening. Without rewriting his memories she will try to alleviate the horror, to help Jacket deal with the demons of his past. She will give him safety and warmth in those dreams, and care for him.
Eventually Jacket will find out though, as is the case with many Nightmares who overstay their welcome. He will notice that his dreams are shifting and notice traces of Nightmare's presence. That will be when they will meet. And strong as she may appear, she is a docile creature who will explain herself to Jacket. It is up to him to decide whether what she did is dabbling too much with his mind for him, or whether he is thankful for it. And if the latter applies, Nightmare, having spent so much time in Jacket's mind and having gotten to know him as a man who could be in a far better spot than he is, will be happy to stay. Granted, the influencing of his dreams may have effects for him in the long-term and Nightmare may demand that he quit smoking, drinking and wasting his life away, but she will more than make it up to him.
Oh, and remember how older Nightmares have two bodies? If ever things get physical, Jacket will have not just one but two lovely girls who both love him dearly.

Strazio Rockwell
![[Image: latest?cb=20160406151452]](https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/monstergirlencyclopedia/images/e/e3/Kunoichi_0.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160406151452)
Kunoichi!
As said by Strazio himself, he doesn't have time for romance. And that's fine! Granted, that means that barring the possibility of a monstergirl pulling him away from his revenge mission (which I doubt he would take to very well) most monstergirls can be discarded. Many of them require attention and affection in their daily lives and can become quite demanding if neglected. Well, admittedly Kunoichi will demand a little attention too, but not to the same extent.
Rather, she will prove a valuable ally to have if Strazio can win her over for his cause - and considering how he's handsome and Kunoichis are easily swayed by that sort of thing, that shouldn't be too hard. Once she decides to work for him there's few he could wish for that are as dedicated and loyal as her though: especially because his magic hurts him as well, Kunoichi will want to avoid him using that so that he doesn't get injured. Very anime, I know. She's going to help him as much as she can, and trust me when I say that Kunoichi is among the most combat-trained monsters out there, an expert in assassination, infiltration, deception and open combat if it needs be. Plus, Kunoichis are humans that were transformed into half-succubi by demonic energy, so Strazio doesn't need to adjust to a completely non-human partner.
And while we're on the subject: yes, half-succubus. Kunoichi feeds on the sexual energy of both her targets and her partners, and well... even if Strazio has no time for romance, how about a quick roll in the hay so that Kunoichi can fully charge her reserves before they take on a particularly difficult mission? She might even convince him that he's doing it to further the progression of his goals... until maybe one day, he doesn't need such incentives anymore.
Hopefully with enough time spent together and with Kunoichi becoming more and more invaluable to him, one day he'll acknowledge her as more than a competent sidekick. But even if he doesn't, Kunoichi will be happy with the way things are.

Forest Elf!
Some would argue that elves are not really monsters, but to these people I say "Screw you, this is my thread and I do what I want :wat: "
Anycase, forest elves suffer the same fate as all elves, which is being driven from their homelands. Be it in medieval or modern worlds the only elf that fits into a human society to any extent is the half-elves (elf human hybrids), and even they are racially discriminated. There are some exceptions across the multiverse, of course, but in most cases where humans have settled on the lands where elves live as the native species they have driven them out and forced them into hiding.
Forest elves are the sub-group of elves that live exclusively in forests, and are strongly attuned to nature. Many of them even turn into dryads, or at least know the forest spirits and can communicate with them. They are skilled bowmen and mages, they climb trees like monkeys, move swift as a gust of wind and have the eyes of a hawk. They are, however, fragile in stature and have little physical strength. They love nature greatly, especially the flora.
In a modern world like the one Cole lives in, these elves are miserable compared to the ones that were "only" forced to live in the forests and who could force the humans to cut back on felling trees (see what I did there?) to build their houses or for firewood, with their weapons if necessary. Humankind was able to drive them back further as their armaments began to outmatch that of the elves, and their increasing demand for wood has driven the elves back further and further, with their homes made smaller each passing day. There are very few remaining and most hide among humans while feeling terrible about how nature gets destroyed.
Where does Cole come in here? As a Blue Lantern, symbolizing hope, he would be confronted with someone who has little hope and is in need of help - not just her but an entire race that has no more room on Earth, almost. And if the Blue Lanterns are anything like the green ones (those are the only ones I know much of) they would be able to help the elves by finding a new, beautiful planet for them to travel to, thus giving them hope, and arranging for space travel there. The Blue Lantern corps would also benefit from that in the long run, bringing up an entire civilization filled with hope for a better future will no doubt boost their power and possibly their ranks (again, presuming that they function like the Greens).
The elf that Cole initially met would be beyond grateful for his aid, throughout all stages of arranging for the exodus of her people. To her, Cole will not just be one of the Blue Lanterns that aided the Forest elves, he will be the one who started it, who stood up for them. And while elves aren't the sort of species to show their gratitude by bedding the other person, she would remain close to him and be far more open to him than to others. This closeness and openness may evolve into a good friendship, or into more. Forest Elf isn't going to push it, nor does she desire Cole all along. They'd work together to get there.

Cyclops!
Specifically a japanese one. Cyclops monstergirls suffer not only from the stigma that is the result of their man-eating monstrous cousins, but also of the social issues that come with how they both look very similar to humans, save for their single eye. Let me explain: for a monstergirl like a mermaid, a lamia or even a slime-girl the differences are strongly visible, which makes them look different from humans. As a result, they are easy to distinguish from humans, this puts the latter more at ease. For someone with a difference that is invisible if you look at their back or anywhere other than their face, humans are more uncomfortable. As a comparison, ask yourself what would you be creeped out more by: a robot that is clearly a robot, with gears, metal parts and cameras for eyes, or an extremely humanlike robot that blinks, speaks almost naturally and exhibits emotions?
Graowr on the other hand is not only a monster herself and has thus the advantage of being kind of an odd one too, but she probably doesn't even know what racism is. Okay, maybe she knows, but I strongly doubt that she would exhibit racism herself towards anyone, especially another monstergirl. And that is what Cyclops needs: someone who will see her for who she is, who doesn't mind that she has one eye or ten, who won't first think the stories of Ulysses that they read in latin class when they hear "Cyclops", and who counterbalances her shy, friendly, worried and intelligent self with an open, cheerful, equally friendly and a little naive nature.
On the other hand Graowr would greatly benefit from Cyclops's smart thinking, her careful planning and seeing things from another point of view. No, this was not an intended eye joke. Being someone who jumps into the fray head first and worrying little about what's to come - be that in a fight or socially -, she can use someone who will watch her back and occasionally tell her to back out of a hairy situation.
EDIT: Forgot to add this bit. Why japanese? Because she would be the closest to Graowr to understand the "japanese tendencies" that come with being a Majin. I mean, it's right there in the name, they're "majins", not "demons".
Colonel
Okay, it's time for the cold hard truth on this one... I can't find a match for Colonel. I've thought back and forth, asked the failbro, went through what I had, and I couldn't find anything. I'm sorry Blarghman, but Colonel Sanders is going home without a waifu.
Allow me to explain: Colonel is a robot programmed to emulate human behavior and to be a perfect soldier. However he is unable to feel positive emotions, and only responds with emotion by logically deciding what emotion he should display in response to a certain situation. A transcript of what I was told by Failz is in the tab below.
The problem here is that Colonel is unable to feel positive emotions - happiness, affection, joy, interest, gratitude, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, enjoyment... the list goes on. Sure he can pretend to be feeling those emotions, but that's just not the same thing. It would at best be a one-sided relationship. And why do I say at best? Because Colonel would have no interest to be with someone who does not logically benefit him with their presence - he would not get emotionally attached to anyone. He would not hesitate to leave a battle-partner behind if their ability to fight becomes hindered by their emotions towards him and the resulting will of wanting to protect him, for instance. Plus, who would want a partner of who you know that they are not emotionally present?
Now there is hope... some computer crack who could program a new "positive emotions" module for him and somehow upload it to his drive whilst circumventing whatever failsafes a machine as advanced as Colonel would no doubt have installed, would be able to make him feel again. And perhaps a potent wizard/witch-type of character or similar magic-able caster would be able to turn Colonel into a more human form, which would naturally develop human emotion. Both options however would imply that Colonel gets changed, and at a very deep level no less. That's not what the spirit of Monster Tinder is: it's to find a match for a character the way they are, not the way they could be.
If anyone has a good idea, by all means let me know! I am kind of disappointed at myself that I couldn't find a good match for Colonel, but I'm accepting any input you may have on this.
Perhaps the biggest details is that, as might have been picked up, he's just a program. Albeit one meant to simulate and imitate humans perfectly, and be able to learn/grow like they can, as well. He was built to be the perfect soldier, with an attitude to reflect that. But somewhere along the line he had his kindness program ripped out, which took away his ability to feel 'positive' emotions, such as happiness and (true to its name), kindness. It made him overall much more cold and withdrawn, and several hampered -- if not outright destroyed -- his ability to properly empathize or emote, having to rely on logic to dictate the 'proper' emotional response or display. And he's also got the remnants and cyber-ghost of a virtual god that was nothing but a rampaging, bestial monster locked in his head.
....along with some serious family issues, from his kindness program getting reincarnated into his 'sister' and a failsafe installed so they if they ever spent too long together, or tried to merge to become complete again, they'd self-destruct.
He can kind of judge and know "I should feel like this. I don't, but I should. I think this is how I would act?"
Battle Angel!
There's little in the way of discussion here: Anderson needs an angel by his side, a holy 'monster' girl that, like him, serves the Lord Jesus Christ. He's going to violently murder everyone else in a heartbeat.
Now in regards to the specifics, Anderson is a pretty straight shot as well: he's a grown man who really won't do with a girl barely of legal age. Taking aside that he may not even age because of his Regenerator powers and thus be much, much older than he looks, it would just not fit to pair him, a 40 to 50 year old man, with someone that could be his daughter, going by the physical age. Keep in mind that angels don't age either, so I'm going fully by physical looks here, not real age. (I couldn't find any better-fitting art in regards to age, sorry bout that. Just try to imagine that she's in her mid 30s and Anderson is 40-41).
Angels are a special bunch among monsters, as much as they can be called that, because they were once humans, before they died. This particular one, she was a devout servant of the church and the vatican, perhaps even someone who worked under Anderson at some point, and died in service. The dilemma she was faced with, as many others before her, was that despite her service to the church and her piousness her breach of the church's teachings, such as not to kill - much like Anderson, she hunted creatures of the night on orders of the Vatican - and to love her enemy - which needs no explanation - ultimately denied her entry to paradise. Instead of being cast down to Hell however she was allowed to join the "Battle Angels", a force of the Heavens that protects Earth from demonkind and is composed entirely of angels that will be denied entry to Paradise until... well, there are certain rules allowing for redemption, but that is a story for another day. And besides, Battle Angel would leave paradise behind any day to continue taking on the forces of evil as she always has.
Anderson is much like her, and he is aware of it: he knows that as a member of the Judas Iscariot unit he will be denied entry to heaven. But what he does not know is that after his eventual death he will be allowed into a new unit. And there it will be that Battle Angel reveals that, like a guardian angel, she has been watching over him for a time, occasionally guiding a misaimed bayonet into its mark for him or empowering his holy prayer magic with her own holy energy to increase his power, all behind the scenes, invisible to the mortal eye, even to that of a servant of God. If she knew him before her death she will also reveal how she has liked him long before her death and how her affection for him has grown only after that.
Anderson may be a lone fighter most of the time but a partner both in battle and outside of it will do him great good. She shares his devotion to God and they can affirm that every day by sinking their blades into the dark creatures that seek to invade the land. And as angels they are both very powerful, so he will not have to worry about leaving her behind. As with many characters, it will ultimately be up to the two of them whether they stay as good partners in battle, or whether it evolves into something beyond that. In either case it will be a great partnership.
Ayyyymen!
