Essentially you both forfeit a single post by letting it time out.
Um... Wakka didn't post for phase three... he left it open for me to start phase three

I'm an idiot.
Wakka posted more than 4 days after Ruby's post. 48 hours a deadline, both missed a post.

Just for clarity/explanation purposes so as to alleviate any possible confusion:

SP use in enabled. SP does not regenerate between rounds. Injuries may occur. Neither injuries or SP use are factored into judgment, only the quality of writing.
Note: There are no extensions for people who cannot make the posting deadline. If you miss a post, that will be factored into your score.
From the very first post in this thread. The Note is of particular import.
(Times used in this example are in my own timezone, as that's what I have staring me in the face; time limits are the same anyway)
Ruby vs. Wakka: Match start time: Oct 12, 7 PM
Ruby Round 1 Deadline: Oct 14, 7 PM
Ruby Round 1 Post time: Oct 13, 3:47 AM
CLEAR
Wakka Round 1 Deadline: Oct 15, 3:47 AM
Wakka Round 1 Post time: Oct 14, 5:27 PM
CLEAR
Ruby Round 2 Deadline: Oct 16, 5:27 PM
Ruby Round 2 Post time: Oct 15, 4:29 AM
CLEAR
Wakka Round 2 Deadline: Oct 17, 4:29 AM
Wakka Round 2 Post time: N/A
FAILED
Ruby Round 3 Deadline: Oct 19, 4:29 AM
Ruby Round 2 Post time: N/A
FAILED
Wakka Round 3 Deadline: Oct 21, 4:29 AM
Wakka Round 3 Post time: Oct 19, 7:09 PM
CLEAR
FIGHT END
So as it stands, they both missed a deadline and missed out on one post each.

Hopefully Magus won't back me into a wall like Dawnika did. I'll get you a reply post later tonight probably, had a Cal test yesterday and haven't been able to get on. You mind a small thread after that inbetween rounds?

Judges are aiming to have all remaining fights judged before the end of the weekend, so we can move ahead shortly there-after.
If your fight has already been judged, you ought to use some downtime today or tomorrow to post a resolution (if you want to), handle any transactions you would like to do, and write anything in the Spectator thread that you feel the need to do. For those of you in a fight winding down, I would likewise handle any purchases or approvals over the next two days.

For those of you who know your match up for Round 2: If you got the higher score, post here stating whether or not you want first post. Please do so before threads go up or I'll flip a coin.

Were each judged by the same judge? We had all that talk about how one judge would never give 5s and another might give 3s or 4s for an okay job. Given that each judge scores differently (given otherwise identical opinions) should score be a factor in anything but the individual fight?

While you're right that it doesn't necessarily line up from judge to, it's quick and easy so that's what we're doing. You can try to individually work it out if you want to. It's not grandmaster level chess, and making the first move does not ensure a win.

I'm a judge and I'm behind the same philosophy stated above, introductions can be both good AND bad. Personally, I think that there are certain advantages to both starting strong and ending with a huge freakin' explosion.
Each gives an equal edge, so the strong drawback is less.

After I do one final post in Welcome to Ambrosia, I think I'll have Guu head over to the tournament, spectator of course to check up on several Ambrosian's there.
Though, how tight is the security? Think I can get into the lobby to kick Yu's butt?

There are some pretty high-profile nobles there, so security probably isn't lax, but they also probably won't mind if there's a little bit of roughhousing with the rabble. If it turns into an actual brawl they'd probably step in.

Have we had complaints?
No.. And the judges are kicking ass!
I think this was just a blanket statement for the community as a whole, as to, avoid any future headaches that may arise from human difference.
Example: Judge A really loves writing that uses inner monologue, where as Judge B couldn't care much for it..
Both Judges may score on grammar alike, however, what interests them varies, so scores on Voice may differ between Judge B and A.
Basically, in this example, if you get a 4 in voice with Judge A, but a 3 with Judge B, it's not an injustice, it's just human difference.
Also, realize that littler differences like this are so minute, it mostly goes unnoticed. We wouldn't be selecting people for judges who we didn't feel would represent an adequate representation for the kind of writing we strive for, here on the Omniverse.

I am fully aware every judge uses different scoring. And i honestly don't mind losing...i mean sasuke deserved that win big time ^^
If i spend an average of 6 hours per post during that fight only to reach a far below average grade ( and i dont see it myself), its a clear sign for me to move on and spend time on things i am good at
Don't worry about it...these things happen :p
