And can things like wall walking techniques allow Ururu to cling to it or will it repel people as well.
Completely, amazing super duper impervious to everything ever, physical, mental, emotional, metaphysical, pseudo-physical, nonphysical, hypothetical or anything other combination of anything. It's only purpose is to keep moves and stuff from entering or exiting the arena and can't really be used for anything else. The terrain inside the barrier is the stuff you can traverse, but the actual shield around the field isn't something you can climb on/use for much else.

So if I for instance shot an energy beam at it will the shield deflect the beam or will the beam simply dissipate?
Proto has the official say, but I'd say that it'd dissipate. It STOPS stuff from exiting. The OOG reason for that is so that A: you use the terrain INSIDE the barrier instead of the barrier itself, making each match more unique, and B: for the sake of simplicity.

Well Ururu's Chakra Walking technique specifically allows to to attach herself to any surface without physically altering it.

I assume you can still walk across the interior of it, if you wanted. If you're essentially adhesive to any surface, I don't see why that wouldnt be allowed.

Unless the energy which radiates from it negates your ability.

It's one of the ones that's under. 747 words I think. I suggest we use that as the standard. At least then everyone will get the same result no matter who's checking and nobody gets dinged for being like 6 words over by mistake.

Sounds good to me.

If you want to, could you test http://wordcounttools.com/ as well?

Each [] and [/] also count as words as well with those web based counters. Word ignores them

That'd probably be it then, thanks, Ururu. Still, it's good we've got a standard to work with now as there's going to be so many writers and it would suck for someone to get dinged just 'cause they're using a different word counter.

You cannot walk on the interior of the barrier, only on the terrain that's presented in the description of each round.

TL;DR
You cannot interact with the barrier in a meaningful way, other than perhaps physically bouncing off of it, and even then it serves as a way to simply redirect you. It does not do extra damage, it doesn't bounce you away from it harder than you hit it. You cannot interact WITH the barrier in ANY WAY other than that it physically stops you from exiting. You cannot interact THROUGH the barrier in ANY WAY.

If there is another question in relationship to the barrier, assume "No I cannot do that thing." If you find yourself saying, "But what if-" No. The answer is "No" to all barrier related questions, schemes and write-arounds. Leave the barrier alone.

hey guys, suggestion: when using a move, write it at the bottom in quotes and spoiler tag, that way if it is complex or hard to explain in so many words, the judges and your opponent will know what move you are using. Thanks!

Aaaah, yes, I like Gildarts' idea. I will do the thing from here on out.

@Bandit: When there is a scene, you interact with it. The barrier may well play an important role in individual fights.

Good RPing could do no less.

If you can think of a compelling way to include a magical barrier that prevents things from exiting the arena, totally feel free, but as far as powers, moves, or special interactions go, just assume they don't work. Things bounce off of it, you can't stick to it, you can't climb on it, etc etc etc.

How does it work? It works like magic. Magic that doesn't let anything enter or leave the arena and doesn't accept any kind of special interactions with it. The only thing that happens with the barrier is that you bounce off of. It's inert and impenetrable. It's perfect at it's task. It can't be tricked or fooled, it can't be avoided or altered.

Again, feel free to creatively use it for it's designed purpose, which his stopping things from exiting, just nothing else.

Bouncing off of it is good enough. That means doing things like reflecting a tentacle off of the barrier changing angle to strike at an unusual angle.
#38
You could probably throw or knock someone into it, or grab them and slam their face against it. If it really is an impenetrable magical wall then that's sure to hurt. Probably not much more than a regular wall, or tree or block of ice or cliff face or any other solid enough object that you could find in any other verse, but still ... there's probably nothing stopping you from using it as such. Like Desco said, using the environment is good RPing.

A thought occurs. Desco's death blast, which would occur if she died, would be reflected off of the sides of the wall. The 200 foot diameter would bounce off of the areas it can't fit in and expand in other directions, it couldn't actually fit inside the magical barrier if you distributed it throughout, so it would be more intense and fill the entire area.

The blast should kill Mami were she to kill Desco.

It won't matter if Desco doesn't die, but it is something worth considering. But the barriers around will probably funnel the blast once it starts to bounce off, Mami might survive by hiding in a trench (and at which point the blast is a directed blast going back and forth across the cube until it calms down)

In any case it won't Kill Mami or whoever is fighting her should it hit them and they won.
