It's pretty amusing that our rule page about alternate characters and whatnot is on the fifth page of the results for 'multiverse roleplay,' but our main page is nowhere to be seen.

Just checked out the home page and can see why.
On line 281 of the coding you have </script></head></html>
If you remove </head></html> it should be better. The current coding tells Google the page stops there.

Whoa! According to Backlink Watch, you have over 80000 links to your site!
If you were ever at another address, and redirect from there to here, I would say you have much more.

Some of the links will be triggering Google.
trekintothedarkness.com has you in what is called a "footer link." That is a link that appears in the footer on every single page. Backlink Watch only shows you 1000 of the links you have, but most of the ones it shows for you comes from that site. Google would be after you as they will spot it.
It is one of your buttons, so you should be able to contact them and ask them to make the link noFollow.
If you have noticed a decrease in traffic around November, that will be Google's newest update which is designed to crack down on questionable seeming links.

I've fixed the </head></html> thing (it came from the sidebar code when I added it) and I've contacted trekintothedarkness's admin (the site is unfortunately inactive now and the admin hasn't been online in several weeks, but hopefully they will get it). I'll see about contacting the other admins with our button code to get the rel=nofollow part added.

If you log into Google you should be able to accessWeb Master Tools, where they give you up to date information about your site for free.

You can also ask in the Google product forums for help with questions.
I'm going to be asking how to make the ads noFollow, because I'd like to know how to do it on the user side. Um, does that count as an ad for here if I link it to this site?

So we have three winners today. Ganon was actually the one who reminded me that this was ending in two hours, and he could not've, so I kind've feel bad. So everyone will be getting the minimum runner-up prize of 250 OM. Don't tell me I'm not awesome.

But as promised, someone has to win the 500 OM prize. Proto takes it by a single ad, with two of those last ones being invalid, but a total of 11. Harry Dresden with 10 ads, and Ganondorf with 6 ads. Here are the scores!

Proto Man: 11,023.00 + 500 = 11,523.00
Harry Dresden: 5,181.28 + 300 (I'm throwing in a little extra for being the main motivator for these lazy gits to actually up their game, and almost winning) = 5481.28
