Gamzee chuckles and carefully finds a slot in his knapsack for his very first item drop. He really wasn't sure what to make of this particular find, but hopefully it'll find some use down the road. Hopefully. Maybe.
Probably not. Not with his luck. The clown sighs, sitting there and eating a few more apples. He wasn't sure what to do now, really. His little device stopped urging him forward with incessant beeps and rings. The map still worked, but he still couldn't read it. The running joke continues, and with this fucked up leg he couldn't even run with it. It was a marathon, motherfucker, and he was in dead last. Still - snagging an item drop was a small victory, but a victory nonetheless. After getting his fill of apple meat, Gamzee pulled himself to a standing position using the tree for balance until he was on two feet. He leans over to grab a couple of fruity snacks and place them in his pack, and then he starts walking. Down the paved road again. Down yet another seemingly random path, leaving nothing in his wake but whimsy, miracles, and apple cores.
----
After walking a certain distance, Gamzee could see a curtain of tropical trees drawing a definitive line in the land. What was once a valley of rolling green hills and flat lands receded into an impossibly dense forest of the most vibrant green colors the troll had ever seen.
Well, besides a certain shade of green he don't really all up and feel like chattin' about right now. Yeah, that's gonna be a fun thing to think about in a rain forest. The sun was well up and in the sky now though. No more stars. It was a pretty, if somewhat sad thing.
The sun ate all the stars.
