The handyman stepped forward in front of Enel, a hand reaching behind his back to draw the long black barrel of his revolver. "Don't trouble yourself, my Lord. I'll put this geezer in the ground where he can nap." Enel smirked and stepped back, allowing his "minion" to take the first move in what was certain to be a rather short conflict.
The Ravnos would make sure of it.
Odin leaned heavily on his spear, the bearded viking grievously wounded. Hendy raised the gun without much fanfare and began pulling the trigger, the steely weapon letting out six inch gouts of flame with each bullet. Vic walked forward with purpose, aiming at the norseman with a hardened look in his eye as he marched forward and emptied the cylinder methodically. BLAM. BLAM. BLAM. BLAM. BLAM. BLAM.
The old man coughed, and leaned to and fro, attempting to dodge the projectiles rather than dive for cover like a normal man would. Maybe being a god gave you an invulnerability complex. Vic Hendy wouldn't know.
Only a couple of the bullets found their mark, staggering Odin as he stumbled forward, bleeding profusely. The Ravnos put his dukes up and cautiously advanced on his opponent, remembering not to get too close to a wounded animal. His caution was paid off when Odin lashed out rapidly with his spear just as the Kindred entered striking range, catching the handyman right in the stomach.
Vic looked down at the blade sticking out of his gut, before bending over slightly and letting out a feigned yell of pain. Gotta keep the charade up. Odin yanked on it and spun the weapon in a fancy arc that whipped around and cracked Hendy in the jaw before he could react. "Fuck!" That one actually -did- hurt!
The pretender growled and caught the next swipe of the spear's blade in the crook of his elbow, feeling it cut into his clothes and through the tender flesh of his forearm. He didn't care. This would be far more satisfying, lips curling back in a nasty smile as Hendy yanked the spear forward and stepped into Odin's insole, lowering his head and shattering the man's nose with a headbutt.
The wounded god stumbled back, off center, and the fightin' mechanic followed with a street skip, keeping his frame low as he pummeled Odin's bloody torso with his fists, each blow making a meaty thwacking sound. The fisticuff combo was relentless, and Hendy sensed the time to step back was near when Odin had recovered enough to throw a knee up to put some space between them.
The mechanic backed up, fists raised and elbows bunched, keeping close enough that Odin could swing the spear without leaving himself open for another sock in the jaw. Grumbling, the norseman circled around Hendy, the Ravnos grinning cheekily and hopping from one foot to another. "What's wrong, Sheldon? Feelin' a bit rheumatic?" He dropped into a crouch, his voice going low. "Cuz I could definitely go for a drink."
It was quick enough that Odin couldn't get the spear up in time. Hendy knocked the weapon to the side with hands curled like claws, seizing the old man by his shirt and diving in to bite deeply into his neck. Fangs ripped skin, and hot red blood welled to the surface, Hendy's mouth on the old man's shoulder sucking, sucking, sucking his last remaining drops of vitality.
"Oof!"
The vampire stumbled back, denied his blood feast but for the appetizer, a boot having nearly splintered his shin. "You will not feed upon the...Allfather..that easily." The man spoke in a deep tone, although the slight wobbly in his knees spoke a different tune.
The Ravnos would make sure of it.
