The assassin pushed Dust away from her. She spit at the ground and wiped her lips with her arm to get the phantom feeling from her lips. Glaring daggers at the shirtless man, she raised her fist and held every fibre of her being back to restrain herself from unleashing a punch that his ancestors would feel. If she did, she could be eliminated for not adhering to the rules of the game, or break her covenant with Shinmen.
"If you ever do that again, I wont be afraid to end this pact just to see your head hit the ground." She growled as an only warning. Strain urged her shoulder to either follow-through or release the tension, and barely did she settle with the latter. Her fist found it's way back to her side.
After calming down from that awkward experience, the duo waited for Shinmen to finish his rest. Dust couldn't happen but pry at the assassin for her sudden change in appearance and the blatant change in the pitch of her voice. Did she also seem a little shorter than before?
"I have to ask, Yuki, when did you dye your hair blonde?" He asked, swearing he remembered her hair being a dark cloak of ebony for ocean blue eyes. Erika returned his glance with a confused look.
"My hair has always been blonde since I was born." She replied with scoff. The tiny girl crossed her arms and looked off to the side, aggravated with everything that had happened after respawning in the Safehouse.
"I must have not noticed it before then, my apologies." How could he not be aware of her hair colour for such a long period of time? Blonde wasn't an easy color to forget on a girl.
"That doesn't make sense." She said.
"Nevermind, it's nothing." Dust said putting his hands on the back of his head and letting out a loud sigh. "I wonder how we should proceed next."
"I presume we should look for more drops on the island, but the last update on item locations was hours ago. I assume by now, our drops are either gone, or being faught over by numerous primes." She explained rummaging through her pack. "I suggest we take a break and just wait for the next drops."
As she was looking for the tablet, the needle from Karl Jak rolled over on her hand. How could this be used? Was it medicinal? Would Karl really try to kill her for winning? Ah, what the fuck ever.
She took the needle and jammed it into her left forearm, without a care for what she was trying to hit or where this needle should even be injected. The liquid entered her body and almost instantly, the fatigue she felt vanished. Her weary muscles felt replenished and able again. Dust just watched as she injected herself with an oddly suspicious liquid. He wasn't about to ask her about it though.
