I thought if I magnetised all the cutlery in the house, I could use it to ride the Earth's magnetic field and fly or do something cool at least during dinner time. All that happened was some annoyance on my parents' part when they tried to take a couple of forks out a drawer and ended up carrying a small chain or assorted metal pieces.
