It seemed as though the young Prime was finally beginning to grasp her situation, so Tearen decided that it would be appropriate to lay off the lectures for a little while. After all, there was no use in trying to hold Essent's hand with every step she took. He had tried the same approach with Cat, and he was fairly sure she had ended up eaten by orcs the second he let her off on her own. They exchanged casual banter for the next hour, with Tearen revealing next to no specifics about himself, as per the norm. By the time they had reached the Frozen Fields gate, the ex-enigma was fairly confident in Essent's competence.
The gate loomed over them, hideously silent as always. Tiny fragments of crystal glittered in the blue, glacial ice, picking up the eerie incandescence of whatever energy powered the dimensional portal. Tearen glanced down at the Fist user by his side, and noted her slightly apprehensive expression.
"Gate travel can be a tad disorienting, but it's perfectly safe. Try not to overthink it."
Without further ado, Tearen stepped through the whirling aperture, and vanished into a sea of whirling sensory overload. A few stomach-wrenching spatial inversions later, the Prime stepped out into the icy plain of the Frozen Fields, immediately regretting that he had not also chosen to wear something warmer. Evidently he had overestimated his wardrobe's thermal conservation properties, having worn them in two desert climates in a row. Still, he couldn't shift form for the moment, at least not until Essent came through.

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
