Tanuki! (I don't care what you guys think, that's a girl in the image)

Well, it might not be a match made in heaven. But Jaina is a bookworm and one of the, if not the strongest mage on her homeworld, so few men could hope to stand up to her. And with her tragic backstory regarding her romantic involvements she's probably bitter about the whole thing...
So who's better to cheer her up than Tanuki? An energetic and usually cheerful shapeshifter who changes their appearance for pranks - though still, she's a well-mannered one and won't take the joke too far. No doubt will Jaina need a little while to get used to Tanuki's antics and annoyances that keep her from studying spellcraft, she might even throw a spell or two when snapping - and will likely apologize soon after. Tanuki's probably not going to get her to stop reading, but Jaina might free up some time in her schedule to spend with her beloved, and in exchange Tanuki will agree to... maybe take on the form of some small, pettable animal and lay across her lap while she's reading a particularly interesting scroll, and stop badgering her at every occasion?

Jaina probably isn't comfortable with being a celebrity and known far and wide for her frosty powers. She needs someone who will see beyond that, who won't care that she can turn an ocean into ice and inundate an entire city with her magic. Tanuki doesn't care if you're a peasant or a king - or indeed, a mage. She will treat Jaina all the same. Maybe it'll get her to lighten up a bit, to enjoy life and to find the happiness that she lost. And Tanuki needs someone who won't be too annoyed at her pranks but knows when to tell her to stop. And of course, someone who will see beyond the furry prankster and realize that Tanuki pulls all those stunts on her because she likes them.
