Jak is a pointy-eared fighter with a big heart. He's a shameless hero and has no qualms about resolving situations with virus; a real Prime's Prime, if you will. He has this whole dynamic about his dark eco and light eco forms, so to riff on that I chose a digimon line that fluctuates back and forth between light and dark, but the real reason I chose Chessmon specificaly is because Jak really needs to learn how to plan his life out and adapt to the world around him.
Chessmon loves to fight just as much as Jak does, but she does it in a way that involves meticulous planning and strategy. I think Jak could learn from this, and exposure to a digimon as intelligent as she would also help Jak learn to stop expecting things in the Omniverse to work the way they did in his homeworld.
