Yeah, Numemon. I'm completely dead serious.

Let's take a real look at Ghidorah for a moment. He's a fifty meter tall, three headed golden space dragon with lightning breath. Basically anything that moves is already shit beneath his feet to be stepped on, so why would he be paired with anything other than a digimon that is already disgusting and reprehensible in any way? Numemon certainly won't mind or resent the constant belittling that Ghidorah heaps on it for being gross and small; Numemon already knows this and expects this kind of treatment.

Ghidorah also has a bit of a high opinion of himself, so it was important to pair him with someone who can shamefully heap tons and tons of flattery and praise on the space dragon. Maybe too much. Maybe an annoying amount. Maybe to the point where even Ghidorah has to admit that enough of anything, even worship, can be unhealthy. Through this, it's possible that the dragon god could eventually get to a point where he can let others shine in his presence without feeling threatened.

In Numemon's case this is a literal thing as it also becomes a winged, golden monster at its highest digivolution. These evolutions may not have the same kind of offensive punch as, say, War Greymon, but they're effectively indestructible. Ghidorah wouldn't get along with a partner who was better at knocking stuff over than him, anyway.
