What about Madotsuki and Bendy? I was thinking that Maddy would have Impmon since they both express similar insecurities (hating being alone), but in different ways, and Bendy would have Gatomon for the devil-angel dynamic, but it's been forever since I played Digimon and I'm curious if there are better options.
