Omniverse Venting Thread

[The Vision]

So I'm a teacher and I just lost one of my classes... The three students in there have been disrespecting me since Day 1, and when I finally started responding by being stricter on them, they started complaining about me. So instead of dealing with those spoiled brats and making sure they learn that you don't treat people like trash, I'm the one who gets dirty looks from the headmaster of the school.

And also none of my students appreciate when I try and help them but I'm pretty sure that's just what you get when you're a teacher. It's just hitting me hard today because it's very humid over here and hard to breathe. I let my younger kids play hot potato, which they usually love, for the second half because I knew they have the attention span of 2 seconds. They got angry at me for making them play (which I didn't - I just said let's play and let the kids vote on whether or not to play, to which the vast majority said yes) and then when I stopped the game because clearly none of them were into it they got angry at me again.

Makes me wonder why I'm even doing this job. I'm in Korea, where I have no friends and only family - including my stepmother, who treats me like I'm two years old when I'm twenty and gets angry at me when I make mistakes which do not affect her at all. I got this job because I wanted to be in Korea, but I don't enjoy being in Korea, and I no longer enjoy having this job. I'm counting down the days until I can leave, which I never did before with anything else.

I need to get out of this country. It's stifling.
