The new found momentum did manage to pull the rusted robot enough to allow Desman to reverse and stabilise himself. The robot still kept trying to bite at Des though, using their strength to very slowy move towards Desman, biting and clawing at him, at the same time pulling Yuki towards the crater.
"Hey, I don't want to fight you. I'm sure we can work things out if we jus- Woah!!" As the robot gets closer, Desman has to move backwards to make sure he isn't hit. Trying to keep the same speed as his opponent, Des continues negotiating. "Could you maybe stop for a second, please. I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding, once we sort this out I'll leave you and your items alone." Desman sighed. 'This isn't working.'
'You think?'
"Umm, okay. Look over there! Desman pointed behind the two of them, managing to distract the robot so that he could punch them. Unfortunately, the robot was already up in the air, pouncing at yuki before Des got a chance to hit."Shion!!" Without thinking, Desman fired a round of elemental shots, the first two missing the robot while the third hit them right in the chest, changing the course to right behind thier target. "N-no, no no no no no! Des panicked as he spead towards where his opponent landed. "You can't be dead, everthing is going to be alright." Desman continued to tell himself that, and then also the robot as he got close enough. "Please don't die, please don't die. It's going to be alright." Des was already in full-blown panic mode by now, it only got worse as the last the the robot's light faded. I-I can still save you. All I need is an electronical current. Des started tring to pull of his plating in desperation, when he realized that it was no use his head dropped, and drops of water that looked tears piled up under the bottom corners of his visor.
Yuki steps up a places a reassuring hand on Des's shoulder. "It's going to be okay."
"No!"Desman suddenly snapped back. "No, it's not okay! Do you know what it's like to live every chapter of your life with someone dying, hoping, wishing that next time it will be different, but it never is! Do YOU know what it's like to have people die because of you, to have people die because their around you! Do YOU know what it's like to have people die in your name, to have people die by your furry, to have people sacrifice themselves so you can GOD DAMN LIVE! No, I don't think you do. Desman points at the now dead robot to explain the next part. THIS is what happens to the people around me! THIS is what I was afraid of back in the city! THIS is what will happen to you if you stay with me! Now I'm going to go back to the nexus, and I'm going to go out as far as I can, so no one can find me, so this never happens again! Desman now turns up to the sky and directs the rest of his outrage towards it. You here that universe, or Omni, or whoever the fuck thinks they can play with my life next, I won't let you win!" Before Desman could leave for the nexus, Yuki turns him around to say something in response. A little further away, behind a large rock, a short little man with glasses watched from the distance...
