As for quick posts vs big... I can see your point. But those who write large posts are already gaining enormous amounts of OM in comparison to the short ones. And hopefully by cutting out voting for oneself, you shouldn't need to worry about poor posts being a cheap source of OM.

Ehh, I don't really think the notion that someone has done a ton of work therefor they get a smaller reward is fair. I know that's not directly what you're saying, but it's the end result. I'd compare it to olympic athletes getting consolation trophies while the medals go to those who work slightly less hard. Doesn't really seem like a system that would motivate me to do better.

EDIT: I don't want to seem like I'm shitting on the idea, I definitely appreciate the thought going into a system that saves work!
