Moved this to Discussion since it's a discussion of an idea rather than an update/edit.
The problem I have with this is that it sorta puts tiny posts and huge posts on the same level of gain, which feels cheap to people who write a ton and easily exploitable for people who want to just write quick things and upvote themselves and such.
