it's clear those are wrong, though. i typed that in the word counter, and yet it has four words in there that don't exist.
but here we have wordcounter and google docs passing this little test here.
i'm gonna go ahead and remove my tinfoil hat again for now. remove formatting solved my issue by about two hundred-odd words, but i get the feeling it's not an absolutely perfect solution. something else might be at work here that's worth looking into.
