Sorry, forgot to respond to the timeline question...

I wanted to do my entrance with a bit of flashback, to more in depth describe it. Long story short, after his arranged marriage by about a month, she is slain by people in his own village. Roarin took vengeance, and for his actions against his own kin he was minor-wished out of existence so he could not be resurrected, raised as an undead or reincarnated.
