Sometimes discretion is indeed the better part of valor , Eda made the call when the spotted her to turn tail and run as far away from them as possible . The creatures of course did not hesitate for even a moment to make good on chasing her , hot now on her heels she continued to duck through the dense forests ahead of her . It was difficult , if not impossible to gain ground in such a place . Once she managed to reach some semblance of an open clearing , she noticed the goblins had skidded to a halt not but inches from her . They suddenly turned tail and ran the other way , much to her relief .
" Oh thank goodness I thought I was done for "
She then noticed the rather large shadow cast over her , an Orc literally towering over her . Her eyes going wide as it made a grab for her , she was forced to run once more . This time from a much faster , and decidedly stronger foe . One she was absolutely certain she had no way of besting , however she had to do something . She managed to get into a narrower space that would be harder for the monstrous creature to move too well in . Using the time she had bought to focus , her hands shaking a bit from her nerves . She was never in a lifetime of lifetimes going to get all of a spell this way , she continued to use the landscape and her smaller size to her advantage instead .
" I really should not have skipped all those fitness lessons , my body feels like its on fire . Come on I need to get away , I need to get somewhere not here . I am seriously not okay with becoming orc food , or worse the bearer of one of their kids . Eww just thinking about that gives me the creeps "
Her legs felt like they were on fire , her tiny arms felt just as bad . In short every fiber of her five foot five form was starting to feel her attempts to evade the creature . She found herself ducking its attempt to just clear out the brush with a weapon she could only describe as sharpened metal on a stick , the sword it was wielding was hardly pretty . However it was proving effective as it gained on her again , she found herself musing how this day could get any possibly worse .
