Requesting the use of Mewtwo for one or two posts. The Sage was on the island during the recent heist and has been apprehended as a suspected team rocket sympathizer. Mewtwo would do some psychic probing to make sure he wasn't involved, then send him off (since he's got other things to worry about.)
If this seems too trivial, I can have some other council member do it, I just figured that Mewtwo was already involved in this pretty personally, so he'd want to tie up the loose end himself.
