Skeletor’s non-existent eyes widened as power welled up in the girl. Where had this been when they were fleeing the soldiers? Before he could react, blazing energy burst out of her, sending him flying. He landed heavily, recent injuries from his tussle with the thunder-god crying out in protest as he collided with the hard cold floor of the Nexus. He growled, rolling back to his feet, “That was the wrong choice, Girl! For you will find that I am…” the Skull-faced warlord trailed off mid-rant as he noticed the prone unmoving form of his opponent. “er... well then...” The warlock said, with the slightest hint of disappointment. Skeletor waited for a moment, preparing for a sudden revival or a surprise plan to be enacted. One of the horses nickered impatiently, as Skeletor stood there, looking dumbfounded.
 
The green-haired girl was definitely unconscious, and Skeletor briefly considered what to do with the three incapacitated figures around him. He could take the living ones prisoner, demanding untold riches for their safe return, but he had little concept of the power that they worked for, and no place where he could hold the captives in the meantime. No, for now, he was too out of his element to enact any such schemes. Perhaps he should kill them, cover his tracks, Thor had seemed quite quick to apprehend him, the Thunderer would not simply abandon his pursuit would he? But in truth, Skeletor did not fear the Asgardian prince, he had been taken by surprise, and still was only moments away from victory when the other soldiers had shown up and ruined everything. No, it would be better for Thor to know exactly where he had gone. Perhaps Skeletor would take him by surprise in their next encounter. It was only fair. Turning his back on the three prone forms, Skeletor made his way to the moss-covered gate.
