A world without He-man
#3
Skeletor whirled around in surprise. “Who dares to approach?” he asked, havoc staff extended towards the voice that had sounded from behind him. Skeletor’s eye sockets narrowed slightly as the green-haired being stepped out from behind the edge of the fountain. The warlord scrutinized the newcomer before continuing, trying to determine the severity of a threat the stranger presented. She was smaller than the average person, a child perhaps, although she seemed unusually sturdy of build for one so small. Skeletor straightened up, planting his havoc staff firmly on the ground of the nexus. This pathetic youngling was no threat to one such as him.
The girl had said something about entertainment. Skeletor would not be made a mockery of! If what the short fool was saying turned out to be true, then there would be someone who would have to pay for this affront. “I am not a puppet to dance on someone’s strings! Who would dare to do such a thing to ME!” The answer came to his mind the very moment that the words passed through his lipless mouth, “the Elders of Eternia…”
Skeletor turned away, one hand on his chin as he pondered this revelation. His intuition had been right before. That being in front of him had been one of the Elders. Skeletor had been unable to use his magic them… likely because the Elder was preventing him from doing so. Casually he raised his staff towards the fountain’s wall, firing a blast from the top of his staff. The edge of the fountain was blown away, and crystal-clear water poured out, quickly absorbed into the unchanging whiteness of the Nexus floor. His magic had certainly been returned to him, though it still felt weaker than before he had arrive here. Perhaps the Elders were limiting his powers to keep him contained here?
“So… the Elders think that trapping me here is going to work, do they? Myah!” Skeletor turned his back on the fountain, and again regarded the green-haired girl before him, eyeless sockets staring her down without expression.
“I am Skeletor, Master of Evil!” he declared, and pointed towards the girl forcefully.
“Now. You will tell me what you know of this place! What is it about this prison makes the Elders think that it will be enough to contain my power?”

Yeller removed his hands from his head, getting up from where he had cowered when the hooded prime watched with growing alarm, “There are two primes now sir!” he spoke into his own mind, transferring the message to the wizard on the other end. “Yes, I hear you, boy!” came the slightly irritated voice of the wizard, “I am already making my way to the commander now. If that idiot hadn’t given me a room at the top of all these infernal stairs!” Yeller could feel his own panic rising as the hooded prime began making demands of the shorter one. The skeleton seemed dangerous, and would probably attack the diplomats they sent, but the green-haired prime seemed friendly enough. Yeller fervently hoped that the hooded prime would not attack her, as he would be next to useless in the case that he needed to help her fight back.
He carried a sword, but had been given only basic training with the weapon. Fountainwatch was almost entirely a reconnaissance focused position, intended for those members of the Kingdom’s defenders who were too young or too weak to be relied upon in a raging battle. Yeller had always known this, but as he watched he was aware of just how powerless he would be if there was a conflict. He DID have the wand that every Fountainwatch member was given, but it only had one charge, and its effectiveness against primes was varied at best.
He would have to sit and watch, hoping that the primes would continue to delay until the troops he had called for could make it to fountain.
