Rin stayed siting on the ground, trying to let the nausea pass. It was not as bad as when she used to activate her powers, but the feeling was still unpleasant. The kid scrambled to his feet, and started taking on the two stormtroopers. Rin thought it was a foolish move until he started pouring fire out at them from a wand. So he was a wizard. There were all sorts in this place but it seemed all of them had some form of magic or another.
As her head cleared and the nausea subsided, Rin got up, looking around for some means to escape. A little ways away there were the strange riding beasts that the empire warriors came in on. If she could get to one of those and get out of here that might not be a bad idea.
She jumped in shock as skullface aimed a blast at the vehicle exploding it. Rin glared as the blue hooded guy turned tail and ran.
The kid stepped away from the two possibly dead empire warriors and yelled at her to follow Thor. He must've been talking about the thunder god, because he started sprinting after him. Rin looked back at the other riding beasts. There were too many of the white warriors around to get to them. She scrambled to her feet and followed the kid. Her boots echoed off the white floor before the sound disappeared into the emptiness.
The hum of the riding beasts sounded loudly from behind her as the empire warriors mounted to pursue them. Rin caught up to the kid quickly, looking over her shoulder at the fast approaching enemy. This was never going to work. "We can't outrun them you know!" She smiled at him, trying to break the news lightly. "We're probably gonna die here." It would be exciting anyway, dying. The kid glanced over at her and picked up his pace. As if that would help.
It didn't.
The riding beast cirlced them, cutting off their chance of escape. The garbled, metallic voice of the warriors told them to stand down. Rin looked at the distance between her and the warriors. It was too far away for her power to reach them.
"Never!" The kid shouted, or something to fight that effect. The hiss of a lazer fire streaked through the air, taking the kid down. Rin watched him spiral onto the ground. It hadn't been a direct hit, but it was close. She moved over to stand protectively between the empire warriors and the wounded kid. She may not have known him, but he seemed to be trying to help. And these warriors definitely not.
Skullface did not seem ready to give in anytime soon, but it was hard to read his expression.
"What do ya think skullface?" She asked him with an uneasy smile. "Wanna fight this thing out? Or give up cause you don't have the guts." She chuckled. "Get it? Cause your a skeleton? So you don't have guts..." She could feel the hatred penetrating through hollow sockets. "...Yeah I think I'll shut up now."
Rin swallowed looking around again. They were really in a pickle this time. Better start getting ready just in case. Maybe this Omnillium stuff would be of help?
