[Interest Check] Omniverse Gym challenge

I really like this idea....gives people a fun goal. Especially when you want to set up more gyms in other verses. Perhaps other players that are willing to help could be a gymleader in a different verse ?

Yup, that was what I was going for, more or less.

Depending on how many people choose to participate, this could potentially require as many as eight people to be almost full time judges.

I'm not saying its a bad idea; I do like the concept. I just need to see the logistics worked out before I budget too much hype juice for it.

Thanks for pointing that one out, I hadn't thought of it. Though if it's a quest-like thing we probably won't get too many fights at once. Or we can make up alternate rulesets to diversify the game and take some weight off the judges' shoulders.

It might work better as, rather than a fight, it just be a story thing. Let the participants determine the victor, in whatever manner they like. And, since most PCs seem to have atleast SOME other PCs they hang out with, their buddies could be Back-Up Gym Leaders, should their "boss" be out.

That actually was one of my ideas too! Decide who wins OOCly or through another game, then have a fight that doesn't need judgement because it is set to be won by one party from the beginning.
And indeed, it doesn't have to be a single specific person who does the Gym leading. The badges could be rotated through a group of people who do the leading for a while.
