Several yards away from the group that intrigued him before, Jams was concentrated on the omnilium inside of him as he attempted to create a phone to connect to the internet. Without a backpack or similar carrying vessel, a laptop would be highly impractical whereas a phone could easily fit in the pockets of his black shorts. This phone was not like any phone he had ever seen, though. This phone was a technological mutant of his own imagination. It had the touchscreen capabilities of most tablet phones as well as the addictive snap of most flip phones when one opens them. He simply called it the "Touchscreen Clamshell," though it was really just a touch flip phone.
The exterior purple with a black rim along the front screen which read the time and notifications of new messages or missed calls. The inside was completely black with two screens separated by the hinge; the top was primarily used similarly to the screen on a flip phone while the bottom was mostly used for dialing and typing, however both could be used as touchscreens for entertainment purposes.
Turning the phone on, it activates nigh immediately due to Jams and his preference of a phone that didn't take a minute to start up influencing the phone's creation further. He promptly swaps out the background for a lovely scene of a forest of black trees and white leaves with a sunset-orange sky and black dirt with rainbow-hued ivy stretching across the ground. What was akin to Christmas lights were hung in the sky and patches of snow-white grass dotted the landscape. Several tens of hills rose up in the distance with a ginormous tree perched peacefully atop one aligned slightly right of the center of the picture. Truly a tranquil image, something that Jams could stare at for hours if it really existed. But it doesn't, obviously, so he stops fetishing obsessing over it and opens the app store.
Just as Jams suspected, there were quite an interesting array of apps. There were apps for emailing, texting, designing the arts, blogs and the like. After reading up on some of the descriptions, Jams decided to go with a game-designer called "VGDesigner ," a texting program called "PesterOmni" (Yeah, THAT sure rolls off the tounge...), a music maker called "Finale Notepad 2012," and a back-up for his iPod. After deciding to name himself jazzyWisenheimer on PesterOmni and starting about two measures on a piece of music, Jams suddenly realized that the group left without him. All except for one guy, the one who exploded in the distance earlier.
Suddenly realizing that he had left Jade rudely to make something as petty as a phone, Jams was slightly upset that she had left before he had the chance to apologize. Nonetheless, while he knew that her username correlated perfectly with PesterOmni's restrictions, Jams decided that he aught to introduce himself to this stranger properly and apologize to Jade at a later date. With only one person around, it was much less of a struggle for Jams to approach and introduce himself. Walking toward the robed man, Jams politely introduced himself. "Hey! Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, I was already in a conversation. My name's Jams, nice to meet ya!"
The man wore a dark-green robe that looked very rough, especially in comparison to Jams and his t-shirt and shorts. His robe had a hood that looked like it was designed for facial concealment rather than heat entrapment. His robe seemed rather loose, implying that the man was rather slender. His skin was of a generic hue, not too pale yet not too dark. His eyes were as green as finely cut emeralds from the jeweler, and his hair was as black as... actually, his hair wasn't black after all. Jams just barely noticed it, but it was an extremely dark shade of brown, a value that reminded Jams of black coffee before he tempered it with Italian Sweet Creamer and some sugar. As for the man's age, it was indeterminable; because of this, Jams simply didn't try to ponder about it.
Extending his arm out for a handshake, Jams awaited a response from the garbed man in green.
