When he didn't see his friends right away, Dust felt a little disappointed, but at this same time a tanned hand passed his view from beside him, and pretty woman turned him to her with the brightest smile. His heart leaped, and beat against his rib cage. She let her fingers caress his jaw, down his strong neck, and further along his chest. It quickly invoked a lot more emotions than a blank space could ever hope to. Ironically, to another emotion blank space. He felt a flutter of lust, a grin of pleasure, and a solid hit of happiness. For a guy who's price was a kiss, and who's kissed a lot of guys, he welcomed a few gorgeous women. He let her lead him into the bar.
His bulk, while more natural here, still was out of place among the mostly clothed men around the place. They were all warmed by the sun, but had on up to two layers over their shoulders, and wore either shorts or slacks. It was causal, bust still sort of business like. He noted a lot of eyes on him as he was lead by the woman to the bar. She sat down, and then motioned to the stool next to her, which he half slid in and half sank into. She smiled up at him again, and then motioned to the bar. She said nothing.. That was odd, but not at the time because he understood everything she was saying without her speaking one syllable. He turned to the bar keeper, running his big hand through his hair before ordering a drink.
The tavern was dusky, shady. It had clay colored walls that could have easily been made of clay. It had rustic metal ornaments nailed to the walls, and the color splashes all around, with addition wool like fabrics in the chairs and curtains, he thought it reminded him much of the Mexican themes of the Americans. It felt very Western in theme, which was extremely inviting as well as very different from the cold themes Russia built itself on. The sandy colors and coastal music were a contrast to the war drums and ice landscapes he had been very used to seeing.
Even the drink he ordered was bright and uplifting. It came in a coconut with a big straw, and even the typical umbrella sticking out of it, bobbing up an down because it was stuck into a very solid piece of pineapple that floated among the slush of ice and alcohol. He guessed it wouldn't be vodka. He also wondered if he'd feel the same as he did before with liquor. Contractors were capable of drinking, even getting drunk. He imagined they were a lot like humans in the way the responded to things of the same sort. But when he drank before, it didn't matter so much what they gave him. It just happen to be vodka. He didn't drink very often, but when he did it was always that.
He picked up the cup, like a cup, and took the straw into his mouth and sucked in his first drink of the Omniverse. It wasn't vodka, the alcohol was more subtle. He would assume it was rum, or tequila based on the area around him. A sweet breeze blew in through the window, brushed his hair back into his face, and then threw his scent out into the open air of the present verse. He paused for a moment, let the straw fall loose from his lips, and then turned to the maiden at his side. Only she was gone.. Vanished completely. And when he looked around, he couldn't see her exact image. He noticed most of the girls looked similar to her, dark thick hair that bounced around as they moved, twirled, and even laughed. He also noted some particularly dark glares from guys before turning his attention back to the bartender. He was blonde, well dressed while following the same rules of the island, and just gave Lycan a shrug as if it would answer whatever question was going through his head. It didn't but it made him understand still.. He picked up his body, slowly, letting each muscle tense up before letting it relax as he remained in perfect posture. He took his drink with him, and headed out the same way he came.
Outside, the light was brighter than before somehow, and he brought his hand up over his eyes; pressed up against his brows as they scrunched up. He took notice of his surroundings before deciding to go around the building. His hand fell to his side while the other one carried the coconut like a wine glass without the stem that held it up like a flower. He had to step onto the hot ground to move around the building, but tolerated it far better when he expected it. He stepped out onto the sidewalk of wood next to the beach, just as Xavier and his unseen companion walked up. The wind came in to brush his hair around as he brought the straw back to his mouth, wrapping his lips around it for a second time and drinking deeply from the cup, and the world. It calmed him.. He wasn't sure how much more calm he could be, being a contractor, but it relieved the visible tension of his shoulders and back. Which could be watched by anyone, but probably Azalea closely observed as the man in front of her truly relaxed for the first time in his adult life.
He relaxed his shoulders, dropped the drink from his mouth, closed his eyes, and took in a very deep breath that extended his chest a bit before he let it out in a long satisfied sigh. It wasn't until he was done did he notice he wasn't alone anymore. He glanced over so casually, and the wind gently blew his hair back into his eyes, but in a sexy kind of way. His smile only amplified this. "There you are."
