Omniverse in MC! (Please Vote!)
#1
First off, I'd like to congratulate Teal for trying to build this on the Xbox One Edition of the game. You can view her progress here: http://omniverse-rpg.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=5067

So, my plan is to build an Omni-approved scale model of the OV in Minecraft for the PC using tools like Mods, plug-ins, and MCEdit. It will be tough, it will be long, and it would be fun to work on this together.

Eventually the goal would be to have a version of OV in Minecraft for reference to our roleplays on the site itself, as well as being able to do some non-canonical role-plays using he world.

I have FRAPS and will be posting regular video updates of my progress, as well as a download link to the current version of the world. I will be open to feedback, suggestions and corrections to any of the work that I've done.

I might also put together a resource pack to make it look even closer to the actual OV and I would love for artwork help on this. (Nealphh, I'm looking at you.)

If anyone has a Bukkit server they'd like to host the world file on so we could work on this together that would be great! Do not hesitate to PM me.

Current Download Link:
N/A

Current Features:
None

Features in progress:
Nexus Gates
Nexus
Fountain of Infinity

Planned Features that will either require immense co-ordination or a server:
Areas for each person to build their own version of the Fountain, which it will switch to whenever they are nearby.

I hope you all enjoy the process as much as I do!

Updates:

Update: (Pre-0.1) I have a significant choice to make for the size of the Nexus, I can either make it 25km in diameter as the Information says it should be (which will take ~1 hour irl to get to a gate), 60km in diameter, which is how long it would take to get to a gate for 2 hours irl, or I can make it 430m in diameter, the equivalent of it taking 2 Minecraft hours to get to a gate (~50 seconds irl). I would really like some opinions on this, because I am unsure of how far to make it, and I want you guys to be happy with what I've done as well. Thanks!
